Basket Of Liars & the Division of a Country

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- This may seem to be a dark, angry diatribe, but it is not a call to arms. It is, instead, a call to wait and grow stronger. And, at the same time, it is a call to refuse to compromise with the liars.

Years ago, when most of you were just young pups, gunnies were already being demonized by folks who were afraid of our guns. They called us names because we called out their lies. But they never stopped lying about us and our firearms.

Right now our country is enduring an earthquake of lies. These lies, of commission and omission, are so great and damaging to the culture of freedom that we hold so dear, that there is little solid ground upon which to stand.

After this past midterm election, we remain genuinely amazed that so many fellow Americans could believe the lies, some of which are preposterous on their face. There are limitations to the human psyche, but it appears that upwards of half our population has gone bonkers, and our Republic is being torn apart by the Left Wing Party and the dangerously corrupt Main Street Media (MSM).

The majority of their lies are so obvious that it's painful to see our fellow countrymen fall for them. And it's difficult to accept that these countrymen are our family and friends. We don't recognize them anymore. The unfortunate fact that remains, is that these critters are gullible, and ever eager to follow the smooth talking liars.

There are many people, many of whom we know, who firmly believe that President Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. There are many who think that Justice Kavanaugh is a serial gang rapist. Were they indoctrinated by an evil MSM who colluded with the left? Are our News Media willfully engaged in destroying our nation?

The MSM responds angrily when President Trump calls them out as the enemies of the republic. But, they are intentionally working to take down a duly elected American sitting President, and that does undoubtedly make them enemy number one.

Still, events have not fully unfolded and, we cannot know the future. We must wait patiently. We know that we cannot be disarmed, but we must understand that once violence is unleashed, everything changes.

The years of compromise of laws must end. Congressman Swalwell opened his mouth and admitted the truth about the intent of the left. They propose to forcibly buy back semiautomatic weapons on the way to civilian disarmament.

Molon Labe Swalwell! Come and try to take them, but get to a psychiatrist before you nuke us, and our land.

Will there be a compromise with people like Swalwell? You can bet your sweet bippy there will. After the Trump era, our timid politicians will be happy to keep their jobs by kowtowing to the politics and press of the day.

But we must know that we can never compromise with liars. We must know deep, deep in our bones, that 99% of gun laws are harmful, and usually quite useless.

We need to reflexively know that the Black Market will subvert the promise of a peaceful society, “if only we compromise.” We have been lied to get us to accept the laws that promise a peaceful outcome. These laws will put our names on lists, and the only significant result of them will be a thriving Black Market. The black market is here now, always ready to make a buck.

We must be aware of the many lies told about guns and gun owners. Many of these lies are not so obvious. Instead of an explosion of lies, gun owners have been subjected to a steady stream of smaller lies.

We can't even begin to know them all. For example, Gary Mauser, a Canadian-American economist wrote an article entitled The Number of Violent Crimes Involving Guns Has Been Exaggerated By An Over-Inclusive Definition Of Gun Crime. If a crime is committed in or outside of the home of a firearm owner, it becomes automatically firearm-related in Canadian statistics. Any researcher who uses those statistics will likely not realize or care that he/she is producing fake conclusions.

Any lawmaker using such false information to propose yet another law will not know or care.

Our gun laws are based on dreams and the lies of the power-mad. According to them, we always need more, because the ones we have don't work. Say it again, and say it LOUD! “The Black Market is always at the ready.”

We propose a war on GUN LAWS. We recommend a massive reduction of our tens of thousands of gun laws. Gun laws can only label the acquisition, possession, or use, of a weapon as legal or illegal. Laws cannot prevent a criminal, or an insane person, from acquiring, possessing, or using, a weapon.

With all the thousands of local, state, and federal, firearms laws in our country that attempt to keep us safe and under control, why do we still need more? Just asking for a friend! That's because the LEFT is trying to control us. They seek that complete power.
Gun laws have been designed, from the get-go, to control and destroy our culture. We can legally comply, or we can become felons.

  • How many of us have carried illegally?
  • How many of us are sure we comply with all of our laws?
  • How many of us knowingly don't or can't comply?

The left resorts to lies, to manipulate outcomes, that are beneficial to themselves only. But these lies usually result in the destruction of our Rights and the Constitution, and more often then not, they transfer more power to the socialist mob.

The current, and coming, battle is between felonious cowardly liars and We The People. They want to control the US nukes, and luckily, the hard-working Conservative folks are now waking to this harsh reality.

We are to blame. Over the last 45+ years, we let the Left into our schools and media. We accept many of their lies. Too many of us believed that ‘sensible' gun laws existed, and would help to reduce violence.

The lies were insidious, designed to advance their narrative that we and our guns are dangerous to our families and society. Its difficult for many average persons to know that something, that sounds so reasonable, is a deliberate lie designed to sow suspicion on the very foundation of freedom.

All of us need to be skeptical and always on guard. We must not be shy to be unreasonable and question an intent. We are in the right.
Back and support President Trump, but stay alert and be prepared.

    1. @ Head the Call Up I know what you mean about suicides. I always thought if I ever tried it I would try to back out and only hurt myself real bad. I doubt if I am a candidate for that. I understand you (scar.)

    2. @Head the Call Up You forgot to put (sarc.) after your post or you had a change of mind since yesterday. I’m sure it is the first, though. Some people may not understand and call you some bad names.

    3. Head up The Call “And we all know that criminals aren’t really bad; we all know it’s the firearms that make them commit their crimes”. I have to disagree with you on this. Firearms I have owned have been kept perfectly fine, and secured away from others. Other people such as convicted felons, criminals in general are the ones to use handguns to commit a crime. Undisputed. To let you and others know, if a member of a household is suicidal, if that person is unable to get to a hand gun then they may very well not try to kill themselves. Suicide by a gun is much more likely to be lethal than any other type of event.
For Roy Merer: Lets try and keep the ugly mean cussing comments to a minimum. Our goal is to discuss these very important issues in a respective and civil manner towards all. Thank you, The GWD.

    4. The left clearly understands that criminalization of a thing will not stop that thing from happening. Cries to legalize marijuana with references to the failure of 13 years of prohibition in this country as an example of why it only causes MORE crime. Why then do they expect there would be any less crime and/or violence by prohibiting firearms. During the 1920s and early 1930s, vast numbers of otherwise honest law abiding American citizens willfully participated in committing felony crimes and supporting organized crime syndicates that ran the black market in booze. FINE, go ahead and legalize all the drugs you want. The gangs and organized crime will just sell guns instead. F’n Idiots! There is your slippery slope, Turn the good guys into criminals with unjust laws and see how easily they become numb to following other laws. “In for a penny, In for a pound”, so to speak.

    5. While I agree with your words, you did not complete them. The left isn’t the only ones doing this. Republicans support and are passing Red Flag laws in states all across this country. In MD the state MURDERED a man that was never accused of a crime and the media has ignored it. Ohio Gov Kasich is pushing hard to pass it there before he leaves office and incoming Mike Dewine A REPUBLICAN, said he will support it as long folks get DUE PROCESS. which, in their minds they do. AFTER THE FACT. Which means he will be pushing it as well. We need to calling EVERYONE OUT FROM BOTH PARTIES. This is and never has been just one party pushing some sort of gun control. Even the NRA has been complicit in promoting and WRITING gun control laws!

Bloomberg, De Blasio, Soros and the big tech companies have given up on Washington for now, and they are going state house to state house to attack the 2nd Amendment and they are winning in many areas and we must ignore that fact and fight them there as well an spread the word to inform more folks who don’t even realize its even happening. .

    6. Such energetic rhetoric about justifiable revolution against the coming tyrannical government. But how to start it? Needs leadership and the resources to galvanize, organize and then call to action. This must come from state leaders. Where are they? How do we get them to act? Will they remain loyal to the patriots cause? Will they stay the course? Questions that should keep all liberty loving patriots up at night.

      1. @Cap, the Fat Boy Institute takes great pride in claiming that they have infiltrated every militia group. Note: the following is a hypothetical: Anyone that says, “Yep, formation is at my house. Bring your firearms. I”m starting the revolution right here.” is going to get arrested by the Feebees. For the FBI Carnavor program that scans internet transmissions: The preceding was a hypothetical.

    7. @GWD please don’t project your personal issues on the rest of us, that seems to be the issue that is taking us down the road were already on. We have!! Gun laws that are unconstitutional and impractical that do not need to be supported, your support only makes them bolder to push farther. The question is simple, how long and how far do we allow them to go before they are in your living room asking you to wait outside while they search your house for weapons. It could be as simple as one of your neighbors thinks your an asshole, which is a personal issue but not illegal. Or if legal issues developed in a family or amongst business associates, it would be a good way to take revenge against a lawful American. We have laws in place to cover irrational behavior and reckless display of firearms, be not mistaken, red flag laws are simply about depriving you of your right to possess firearms in general, not a concern for public safety. At this time we do have some Oath Swearing gun owning Patriots that are very serious about maintaining our rights as given by God and approved by our founding fathers, these rights have no relinquish level to be decided by society or it’s selfish norms. But, a generation Is upon us that will concede any and all rights to the insane left at the expense of their comfort, whether it be physical or merely socially comfortable. Your comment is a prime example of the nonsensical garbage that has lead us to this point. Please wake up America

    8. Since the invention of firearms every wanna-be tyrant or despot has attempted to deny or restrict them to those they wanted to subjugate or control. The Founding Fathers were perfectly aware of this, and wrote the Second Amendment as a guarantee that citizens could protect themselves against government tyranny:

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so.” —Adolf Hitler

“The measures adopted to restore public order are: First of all, the elimination of the so-called subversive elements …. They were elements of disorder and subversion. On the morrow of each conflict I gave the categorical order to confiscate the largest possible number of weapons of every sort and kind. This confiscation, which continues with the utmost energy, has given satisfactory results.” – Benito Mussolini

“A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie”. – Vladimir Ilyich Lenin

“The revolution is now over, and all good revolutionaries must turn in their firearms” – Fidel Castro

“I have to do it under the table.” – Barack Hussein Obama

      Conversely …

“A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” – George Washington

“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence.” – George Washington.

“Arms in the hands of individual citizens may be used at individual discretion…in private self-defense.” – John Adams

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” – Thomas Jefferson

“To disarm the people is the most effective way to enslave them.” – George Mason

” The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833

      1. “A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.” – George Washington — George Washington never said that. The first part of that sentence is from Washington’s First Annual Message to Congress; however, the rest of the “quote” is wholly bogus.

“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence.” – George Washington — Wrong again; that’s another fake “quotation” widely circulated on the Internet by people too lazy or unwilling to verify their sources.

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” – Thomas Jefferson — While Thomas Jefferson was strongly pro-RKBA, he never said or wrote the “quotation” you falsely attributed to him.

You can read history and see where the liberals are taking the people. The same path that was used many times is being used again. This is not new, look at Venezuela and see how gun control works there, the media never tell you how bad it is.

    10. Your assessment is very accurate. Over the years we (gun owners) have allowed the Left to put us in this position. Due to their incessant screaming, crying and pleas for compromise on certain issues and we were either apathetic or trying to show we were reasonable people to give up certain things to their side. But that was before the advent of social media. Now, we know the media, politicians and other groups were exposed as blatant liars and charlatans. How can the Left plea for compromise when they never give anything in return?

The Left only want to control us and their aspirations for a false sense of safety. Their ambition to control others is their driving goal but it is a pipe dream. It’s been done in the past and has only paved the road to hell, with their intentions. History will show us all we need to know how such an endeavor like gun control/confiscation would play out. I submit this: During the early 20th century the Progressives found a cause they believed was immoral and harmful to society and put in place a motion that eventually brought us, “Prohibition”. They were going to save society from itself by removing the evilness of alcohol and the behaviors that were the result of it. But it went awry because people choose to make their own decisions in the guise of liberty. The removal of alcohol created a vacuum of a commodity that was eagerly sought after. Enter the, “Black Market”. Organized crime saw a great opportunity to make money by offering a product to the populace that was forbidden. As their business grew, money was made in large sums. To protect their source of income and power against competitors, they engaged in intimidation and liquidated their competition with violence. In short, they snuffed out opposition and paid off government officials to look the other way.

Men like Al Capone created an empire of fear and death to grow their wealth selling booze and using firearms to protect their business. But what was the end result of such mayhem? Prohibition was repealed BUT, the public display of death and carnage pushed the people to appeal to the politicians to do “Something” about guns. As a direct result of prohibition, we were blessed with the “NFA of 1934” limiting mere citizens with the ability to own/possess a fully automatic firearm. And since then, the push to deprive citizen’s of certain types of weapons or how to get them and so on and so on.

The progressive mantra of pushing for regulation on alcohol is a direct result of gun control. Now, they want to institute a prohibition of any and all firearms on us citizens. Do they not realize a black market for firearms would bring crime to our country that would make prohibition look anemic? I for one will not sit back and allow these self imposed liberals try to decide what is best for me or my family where safety is involved.

    11. If one would read the Second Amendment, that person would know that it preempts all gun laws. No gun laws are constitutional, thus those statutes are nothing at all.
A “Right” has the characteristics of permanence for all time, completeness of subject matter, and proscribes all governmental, judicial, bureaucratic, or presidential future diminishment. There is no balancing of governmental interests against a person’s Right. Some people don’t mind being slaves. Some people do mind being slaves.

      1. The original drive behind the Second Amendment was to protect the People against the threat of a tyrannical government.
As you all know, the Second Amendment protects the entire Constitution!
Without the Second Amendment, We Americans would be nothing more than slaves and chattle to powerful Central Government.
Without the Second Amendment, there will be no First Amendment and all of the other Amendments as well as the Constitution will be nothing more than a scrap of parchment on the trash heap of history very much like the Roman and Greek Empires.
A goodly number of People understand that without the Second Amendment we are slaves, not citizens!
Without the Second Amendment, there is no United States!

    12. As we need to stand firm on our ALL our constitutional rights, the importance is that we hold ourselves responsible for our actions. Enforce our current gun laws, hold ourselves responsible for proper securement of our weapons. At your home, while traveling. Proper use and knowledge of how to use your firearm. Inside the folds of a couch is NOT proper securement!

      1. TGWD, people aren’t dying from firearms placed in sofas, they are dying from criminals killing them – method and/or tool used to kill is irrelevant, dead is dead. Personally, do you know anyone that stores their firearms in a sofa? I sure don’t. And does it really matter? I don’t have young children at home, so a firearm on the end table next to me is a danger to no one, but a criminal illegally entering while I am home.

When not on me or next to me, it is in a safe. Unfortunately, safes get broken into, too. I also own a full complement of kitchen knives, which criminals also use. Should I be putting them in my safe, too? What about my screwdrivers and hammers, criminals also use them. I will need a bigger safe to store all the items criminals use to commit crimes. How about if I just lock my doors and windows? B/E is illegal, we know criminals would not illegally enter a home and steal things, that would be bad. And we all know that criminals aren’t really bad; we all know it’s the firearms that make them commit their crimes.

        1. Tomcat, you are right, there is one person that responded that is that ignorant as to not understand it was sarcasm. Unfortunately, there is no help for him. He seems to believe that a firearm owner who becomes suicidal will not open his/her safe to obtain the firearm. Or if another person in the home becomes suicidal would not be able to break open the safe – we all know safes are impenetrable – or use some other method, 50% of suicides in the USA are by other means.

Stupidly, he believes it is better for those wishing to commit suicide to those that choose other methods. He fails to understand that since the other methods compromise 50% that they have harmed themselves many more times before being successful. This means they must go through recovery and live with injuries, which often times are quite serious, painful and debilitating, sustained in the attempts. Yes, it is much better for the person to live with painful or debilitating injuries until he/she tries again, than allowing the person to “choose”. Isn’t that what Planned Parenthood believes in – choice? Oh, wait, they only believe in killing fetuses, so much better…. (Yes, more sarcasm, TGWD).
