U.S.A.-( Norma is pleased to announce the availability of TIPSTRIKE, a new line of hunting ammunition designed for stopping power, excellent energy transfer and penetration deep enough to reach the vital organs of big game. TIPSTRIKE is the ideal hunting ammunition for big game hunters who demand drop-dead results.

At the heart of the TIPSTRIKE design is a polymer tip that ensures expansion and gives a devastating shock effect due to the construction of the bullet jacket. To maintain a high weight retention, the jacket is reinforced with a mechanical lock, thus making TIPSTRIKE an outstanding bullet for shots where an immediate stop is crucial.

“TIPSTRIKE is a great all-around hunting cartridge that is designed to deliver a clean kill on even the toughest of big game,” said Paul Lemke, General Manager for RUAG Ammotec USA. “With the perfect combination of enhanced penetration and delayed expansion, TIPSTRIKE ensures that hunters across the country won’t have to spend time tracking wounded game this fall.”

The most used rifle for hunting is the 30-30 being it Winchester, Marlin or any other brand but I don’t see the 30-30 listed in Norma’s list of cartridges. I wonder why? I have many different hunting rifles but my first choice is always my Winchester 30-30. Now there are times when I know that I’m going to be shooting long distances I grab my .308 or my .270 or my 30-06 but 9 out of 10 times I grab my 30-30.

Aunt Jemima, what took you so long? Hornany has a solid track record with the SST that has a proven mechanical core lock. Exactly what is the mechanical core lock on this bullet? I cannot gamble on something new…remember the original Nosler Ballistic Tips…???

soooooo what am I missing? It doesn’t do anything other stuff does. No one these days should be tracking game with the reasonably priced quality ammo already on the market. If you are it’s because of your marginal shot placement not the ammo.
