GOA Response to SCOTUS’ Denial of Stay on Enforcement of Bump Stock Ban

“We remain convinced that the courts will consign this unlawful, unconstitutional ban to the trash bin of history, where it belongs.” – Michael Hammond

GOA Response to SCOTUS’ Denial of Stay on Enforcement of Bump Stock Ban

Springfield, VA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Gun Owners of America (GOA) legislative counsel, Michael Hammond, responded to the Supreme Court’s denial of a stay on the enforcement of the bump stock ban:

“Gun Owners of America is disappointed that the Supreme Court has refused to issue a stay while our challenge to the administration’s illegal bump stock ban is being considered by the courts.

“While GOA cannot advocate that its members violate the law, we predict, given our experience with nine states with similar bans, that a large majority of the 500,000 bump stock owners will refuse to turn in their property in what they view as an illegal, unconstitutional gun grab.

“GOA will continue to fight the issue in the court system, as the case now returns to the lower courts. We remain convinced that the courts will consign this unlawful, unconstitutional ban to the trash bin of history, where it belongs.”

AmmoLand Editors Update:

Reminder – There Is A Way To Keep Your Bump Stocks While The Lawsuit Works Its Way Through The Courts

There is a stay in place for select group of people and this might be an option for you if you still have your bump stock.  From a previous alert:

One of the other groups fighting the ban, the Firearms Policy Foundation, was able to get the DC Circuit Court of Appeals to apply a stay to their members only.  The good news is that you can join the Firearms Policy Foundation for as little as $1 and be covered by their blanket stay.  Click here for more information (many thanks to member Grover Stell for this information):

Wasn’t it Roberts that gave us ObamaCare as long as it was called a tax?

yeah, and he forgot to remember that the Constitution clearly demands that ALL bills relating to any form of taxation originate in the House of Representatives, but OhBummerCareNot was hatched out of the Senate, NOT the House.

Thus it cannot be a tax, as it came out of the Senate.

Someone has some serious dirt on Roberts, and is holding him ransom for it. These are the sorts of actions of a man backed into a corner and in fear.

The Supreme Court better realize that they can be considered a part of the Deep State if they do NOT follow the Constitution!

Every time I see a news story about the bump stock ban, I have to ask, why in hell should gun owners EVER AGAIN give a single thin dime to the surrender monkeys at Negotiating Rights Away, for their meeting with Trump and pressuring him to go ahead and ban bump-stocks! Trump didn’t just wake up and say ‘lets ban bump stocks’; he met with NRA honchos who TOLD HIM TO DO IT, AND THAT THEY WOULD GIVE HIM POLITICAL COVER IN THE NEXT ELECTIONS! So phuck you, Not Really Americans, for selling the rest of us up the river… Read more »

The NRA does not always agree with me, and they need some fixing, but I need all the help I can get fighting for 2A.
However, it’s not very hard for an anti-gun to say he’s giving up on the NRA to help swing public opinion. These guys tried to swing an election. THEY WILL STOP AT NOTHING!

I’ve said it here before and I’ll say it now. This is exactly what We get for thinking that 9 people with different agendas and no real desire to uphold the Constitution. Would honor their commitment to abide by the Constitution. As long as We allow them to interpret it to enforce the Agenda of those in Power. We will always loose. One more step backwards. Closer to the abyss of Tyranny. Keep Your Powder Dry.

Unfortunately from what I read it was mr.chief justice,a Bush appointee that made the decision as to stay or not.

It would appear Roberts has no allegiance to anyone with positive 2A connections. Bush was not a 2A supporter, either but he was too busy with planes flying into buildings to do anything about guns. He had to get on the right side of the muzzies so they could make more pilots to fly into our buildings. Remember when Governor Giuliani told the Saudis to keep their money. He knew who did it.
