Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- On May 28th, 2019, the Arizona Legislature adjourned sine die from the 2019 legislative session.

During this session, the House passed House Bill 2693 to improve the ability of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves and their families by reducing arbitrary boundaries that leave them defenseless.

Unfortunately, the Senate failed to pass this legislation when it reached the floor.

Your NRA will be back at the Capitol in the 2020 session and the self-defense rights of law-abiding citizens will remain a priority.  In the meantime, please stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for updates on issues affecting our Second Amendment rights in Arizona.

Those responsible for endangering society by creating these B.S. safe zones must be held accountable and should be charged as an accessory to the crime. Elected officials and appointed bureaucrats are never held accountable for the laws and regulations they create and the massive failures that result. You will never be able to legislate to parts of society that will not comply, by passing laws made only for the law abiding to follow. It’s time to remove flawed legislation at the source.

Here in Arizona we have a state organization (Arizona Citizens Defense League) that actually gets involved in the fight for the 2nd Amendment at the state level and has stopped bad laws here and fostered good laws that have passed. I quit wasting my money on the NRA shortly after LaPierre took over total control of the NRA and getting rich at the members’ expense while ignoring or compromising the fight for the 2nd Amendment. I recommend everyone contribute at the local/state level first where you have a chance to influence the election of Senators and Congressmen to Washington before… Read more »

Time to vote the useful idiots out, and replace them with politicians who take their oath of office seriously.

Gerry in AZ

We have a Republican Governor and Legislature here in AZ. They may not be perfect, but at least the dimmycrats aren’t in charge.

m.

same as TX, but they don’t do s**t here

m.

straus-clones run the TX legislature, turning it into a blue-p**s-water state.

@Gentlemen, Of what good is a Repub controlled executive and legislature when they don’t follow the Constitution? The Repubs need to institute a Root Out the Rinos program.

tomcat

@ Wild Bill, That saying “root out the rino’s program” should be on a banner or billboard for all to see, including rino’s and their ilk.

Wild Bill

@Tcat, Thank you. Thank you very much. (with apologies to Elvis.)

We ‘used to’ have that in NV as of the last session…and they did NOTHING. Nothing. Nothing. Now we are a blue swamp and we have UBC, Red Flag, Storage Law, and narrowly missed have revocation of preemption rammed down our throats (which would have results in Clark County (where Vegas is) putting in an AWB, mag ban, expanded Red Flag, limits on gun purchases, and freakin’ limits on who much ammo you could purchase…AND how much you could own in total. Seriously. I’d like to say that the NSSF and Shotshow threatening to cancel their Vegas conversion was what… Read more »
