WESTFIELD, Massachusetts-(Ammoland.com)- Vista Outdoor announced today the sale of Savage Arms, one of the world's largest manufacturers of hunting rifles and shotguns, in a management-led buyout to a group of investors headed by Al Kasper, the president and CEO of Savage.     1. Savage, two important things.
      First bring back the lever action rifle.
      Second, move out of Massachusetts(gun banning state) and move to Wyoming like Weatherby did. You’ll be much happier there!

    2. Management buyout – the people who run the company believe in it more than the holdings company does. This is a good thing.

      I wish I’d been one of the investors.

    3. VISTA IS A LOSER! They got rid of Savage due to the “black guns” Savage was making and which allegedly ticked off the anti-gun outdoor retailers of Vista products–anti-gun companies like outdoor retailer REI made it all happen.

      1. I disagree. They are positioning themselves to focus on ammunition sales. This is good news. If a democrat gets in office this will disproportionately benefit VSTO due to temporary increase in demand.
