Second Amendment Supporters Should Watch Early Primaries

2020 Democratic Debates
2020 Democratic Debates

United States – -(AmmoLand.com)- The 2020 presidential campaign will heat up soon, and it culminates in November with the presidential election. But the debates will soon be giving way to the primaries. This is where the rubber will start to meet the road.

The fact is, while polling and debate performances can give us a sense of which anti-Second Amendment extremist President Trump will face this coming November, the early primaries will sharpen the focus. Right now, there are four top-tier contenders: Former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, and Senator Bernie Sanders. Thankfully, Michael Bloomberg seems to be flailing and behind those four – but none of them are likely to say no to the Bloomberg agenda.

Some of them are markedly more dangerous. Warren has vowed to sic the IRS on the National Rifle Association. Now, Andrew Cuomo’s regime in New York has been doing similar investigations, issuing more subpoenas in recent weeks. This is bad enough – Letitia James has long opposed our Second Amendment rights. But now, add the IRS on top of this, and the NRA, rather than fight anti-Second Amendment extremists, now has to fight what James and Cuomo have openly admitted is an effort to silence dissent from their anti-freedom agenda. Warren has that same objective, stripping away our right to make the argument.

Buttigieg is arguably pushing a more dangerous agenda that Warren. He was an early adopter of packing the Supreme Court, and according to a piece in the American Thinker, the threat may not be stopping there. A radical alteration of the courts could take place, leaving Second Amendment supporters facing a hostile landscape. Worse, with the courts becoming rubber stamps.

Compared to that, one-time supporter Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden, a long-time foe of the Second Amendment who “reaches out” to hunters, are not so bad, but would they adopt such measures like those pushed by Warren and Buttigieg in order to placate anti-Second Amendment extremists? That is an important question – one Second Amendment supporters should hope remains unanswered.

But what also will come into focus will be who we will face, and therefore, the strategy and tactics that will be required to keep a pro-Second Amendment president in office. Face it, what might work to beat Elizabeth Warren could very well fail against Joe Biden. Similarly, a line of attack used against Buttigieg over court-packing might not be as effective against Bernie Sanders. Then again, we could see a sudden rise by another candidate – be it Amy Klobuchar or Bloomberg.

The fact is, though, that the early primaries will bring a lot into focus for Second Amendment supporters. What has been theoretical will become very real. But these days, there are ways to help prepare for the fight that is coming. Be aware of the records of those running for President, not to mention Congress or the state and local offices. Get the facts on Second Amendment issues. Make sure you are registered to vote and register other Second Amendment supporters to vote. Educate your fellow Americans on Second Amendment issues. Then, repeat as necessary until we have secured our rights.

Defending our rights is a lot of work – and doing that work can be the difference between keeping our freedoms and watching them be taken. Second Amendment supporters must be willing to keep in mind how their defense of our rights comes across, to support NRA-ILA and NRA-PVF, and to join with other Second Amendment supporters.

With all due respect… this article says nothing (we don’t already know about the dem candidates)… The article makes no point. It makes no argument to support the title of the article. We should watch the primaries? Why??

The socialist, communist, demoncrapic left has already stated their goals. Any, every, righteous man and woman has to be set against them. Every so often, history repeats itself. So, here we are, about to relive the revolutionary war and for the very same reasons no less. It’s coming and I doubt there is any way or hope of stopping it. So, if you value your lives, freedoms, rights and hope, there simply is no other choice, arm up, carry on.

@USA – Sounds like a great time. Please do be careful if you ever chose to come down to sea level. Going up can be stressful for those not acclimatized – but stress is obvious and one automatically slows to compensate. Going down can be deadly for one who’s blood has ‘thickened’ for altitude… No symptom, just random blood clots at any point. So – just hang at ~5k for a week or two before heading of on your beach vacation!

Democrats don’t know when they have pushed it too far, as we can see in Virginia. And they have no one to enforce what they are trying to do to America. If they don’t wise up and respect the Constitution soon, they will start CW2.

The way that I see it,,,if you don’t vote, you don’t have a legitimate voice in the fight. As for the NRA,,,I am a Life/Endowment member,,,how stupid can they be for staying in NY. Why do I need to watch the debates? I already know that my choices are few and none. I can vote for a Democrat, who openly tells me that they will come for my guns and my gun rights; or I can vote for Trump, who tells me he will protect my Second Amendment, but will be on the bandwagon calling for taking of my gun rights, maybe my guns, certainly bumpstocks, at the next Government-sponsored, false-flag, mass shooting incident. Or, my third option is to sit the election out at home, let the chips fall where they may, and… Read more »

Hi Wild Bill! Thank You for your comments. After watching Trump do the opposite of so many things promised over the last three years, I am convinced that The Deep State ran at least two candidates in early November of 2016, and that one of them did win. As with Daddy Bush, I have seen too many marks of a traitor with this one and do not consider him worthy of my vote a second time. Welcome to the ranks of the awakened! From here on, there is lots to learn as you reject the lamestream media’s “spin” (false narratives that they just make up). Now you need to find alternate sources of information, and cross check their stories against known sources too. There’s a lot more CNNs out there than just the one. All the major media sources are owned by four omnicorps, so naturally they only give the viewers the information that their masters say to. My advice is look up the interrelationships between the corporations in “The Corporate Handbook”. Since that’s a dead… Read more »

OFC, this was all unknown back in the 1930s as he became such an icon to the sheeple. So ignorance might be an excuse for our great-great grandparents, but that’s no reason to keep on worshiping him now that we know better. The problem is, there are many who DON’T know any better. It’s actually worth a negative shit now. Electronic voting machines have the known ability to be accessed from outside and reprogrammed to count votes cast as whatever the hacker desires (or is ordered to program in by his corporate master at Diebold). So a vote for Trump can be just counted as a vote for Killery (or whoever) instead. The only way to combat that, is to never use a voting machine. The machine can be programmed to count your vote for whoever the programmer chooses, so request an absentee ballot instead. Fill it out in your own hand, and… Read more »

Rural Electric already put my ranch off grid. No one lives there now, the land is rented out, and so the house power was shut off. There was a wind storm (Montana, go figure) that took down the power lines going in, so they just took them out. Can’t leave all that copper just laying around. They’ll have that. Then they sent a letter, after it was all done, saying that if we didn’t sign back up for power before the letter was sent, they’d come have the wires. Good luck fighting that scam.
