BELLEVUE, WA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg is continuing what appears to be an attempted “leveraged buyout” of the Second Amendment as Everytown for Gun Safety—the group he co-founded and bankrolled—has pledged to spend $8 million in Texas; just part of the $60 million that group has vowed to spend in order to elect anti-rights politicians this fall.

That’s the observation from the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Former New York City Mayor Bloomberg, seeking to buy his way into the White House by running for president as a Democrat, has weaponized his vast wealth to buy an election.

But CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb is reminding Bloomberg that the U.S. Constitution is not for sale.

“Michael Bloomberg is spending a fortune on his Johnny-come-lately presidential campaign,” Gottlieb said, “but the one prize he really seems to want—a chance to turn America into his kingdom—will prove to be beyond even his financial reach. He’s tried to tell us what to eat, he’s tried to tell us how much soda we can drink and he has been unrelenting in his crusade to erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights.

“But Bloomberg can’t buy American liberty,” he continued, “because Americans aren’t willing to sell. He has amassed great wealth, but that doesn’t give him the right to say nobody else has any rights. And we’re certain that the more Bloomberg talks and the more he spends, the more people will realize this man should not be trusted with the future of the United States.

“The Everytown Action Fund pledge to spend ‘at least’ $60 million to elect gun prohibitionists to public office at all levels should alarm, if not terrify, every American voter,” Gottlieb added.

“This is the United States of America, not the United Kingdom of Bloomberg, and we should be wary of anybody willing to spend so much money in an effort to put people in office at all levels of government who are politically indebted to a single wealthy demagogue.”

“If Mike Bloomberg thinks he sees a pricetag on America,” Gottlieb concluded, “he shouldn’t run for election, he should run to the nearest doctor for an eye exam, because he’s seeing something that isn’t there.”

Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear ArmsWith more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (www.ccrkba.org) is one of the nation's premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.

Don’t want to contradict Alan Gottlieb, but it sure appears the 2nd Amendment IS for sale in Virginia.

Money dose not buy righteousness. Money dose not change truth. We hold these truths to be self evident that ALL men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among them are life, liberty, the pursuit of happyness. Bloomberg is/will be trying to destroy the U.S.A. There can be no justice or freedom when you hold no law higher than your own. The promise that is America cannot be bought and it’s something that people from all over the world long to have. Freedom and it’s worth fighting for. Ask any vet. When… Read more »

Bloomberg doesn’t have enough money to buy our rights. If he were to win, which he doesn’t have a chance, the only thing his Millions would get him is, a full blown insurgency. I guess he never learned “be careful what you wish for”.

I was considering voting in the demonrat primary for Bernie. I would never vote for him in the general election but, I think it would be fun to watch the demonrat party implode when a socialist gets their party’s nomination. President Trump will win reelection, the Republicans will retake the House and, we’ll get to keep our money and our guns. After looking at the sample ballot, I voted as a Republican because, there were eight Republican candidates for President and, I wanted to “Keep America Great and vote for a different Republican Senator and Sheriff.

Anyone with a brain will not vote Commie(or Mini Tyrant),even if Dems won, they lose.
We would be in a Revolution withing 60-90 days, and no mercy will be given then.
Everything they stand for and all laws they make are UNCONSTITUTIONAL and we will not sit down and roll over. The line has been drawn by 2A folks,I would rather be dead after fighting to save the Republic than to live in one I would hate.
If ever was a TYRANT seeking the POTUS chair this little shit is it.

I agree USA, that politicians will nearly always sell out for money and especially power. However, I don’t believe the American Patriots will sell out for anything that little Rat Turd can come up with. I believe there is still integrity, loyalty and honor in patriotic Americans. I believe most of us are willing to fight and die if need be for our freedom and the American Constitution. I’m associated with many good Patriots, military and ex military. Many of us, including myself, are also militia. I don’t believe we’ll give up without a fight. We’re in this for the… Read more »

Did anybody see Mini Mike’s little face last night as the likes of Liz Warren and Crazy Bernie ran train on his pathetic ass? I’m pretty sure he shat himself on stage more than once. He looked like a deer in headlights, only smaller. And dumber.

I did. I forced myself to watch, and I saw the same thing from every candidate: idiocracy in the form of “Let’s be clear, because I’m the only one with a plan.” A plan that would entail fvcking the America you know and love, completely up!

I too watched the horror show. Bloomberg did seem trapped in the headlights, unable to articulate anything. He’s attacked for refusing to release tax records – his confusing answer (if I understood correctly) could have been summarized as “past tax records are available online at *****, 2019 taxes are not complete yet so unavailable”. We was also attacked for not saying that women subject to NDA are all released from NDAs – but businesses have legitimate reasons for NDAs totally unrelated to sexual abuse – and he seemed to be saying that he is not necessarily a party to the… Read more »

Anyone else notice that Klobuchar seemed to be on the verge of tears over the mild rebukes Buttegieg sent her way? From about halfway through the debate until the end, her voice sounded like she was about to break out crying.

He can buy all the politicians that he wants. The U.S. Constitution and all of its elements remain
the law of the land. I have three times in my life taken an oath to uphold and defend that document’s provisions. I did NOT notice a buy-out clause attached. Bloomie is an example
of why the Founders had the foresight to codify the Second Amendment in the first place.

I just outfitted my .308 hunting rifle to accept magazines, and put a beautiful bullet compensating 50×4-12 scope on it. It may still be only bolt action, but it will get the job done. Which is why it also has laser sighting and a CQB sight sitting atop even that. When it comes to transitioning in a firefight, your equipment is only as good as the fool operating it. Stay frosty.

IT IS SAD but part of the reason Europe is starting to turn anti-Jews again is their out of proportion influence on those countries through both legal and financial. The every day Jewish person while left wing just does his/her thing like the rest of us. But you get influential powerful Jews in the States like the Supremes, the dwarf and the communists Soros and Bernie, etc. and the fact that our Washington based justice department is packed with young and mid-life left wing Jewish attorneys who hit conservatives hard and liberals and their ilk much less if at all.… Read more »

About 50 Counties are, 2A Counties, the sixth largest with over 1 million signed on in November from top to bottom. We need to CODIFY laws and insert them into the State Constitution.IF I were Abbott I would recall the legislature for a SPECIAL SESSION just to do that.
Our legislature in only allowed to screw up crap every two years, while the GOP has the majority WE should strike NOW.

Easy fix. Every gun owner in America votes Republican in every election. Kick out the RINOs in the primaries, but no matter what, vote R in the general elections. Remember, in the November 2018 election, 118 million people voted–just UNDER 50% of eligible voters. There are 124 million of us (gun owners). If we all vote, we all win, and so does, by the way, our nation.

The Dems are pretty much all trying to buy the election. Most are openly buying the election WITH OUR OWN MONEY! Free health care for everyone on the north American continent (except Canada), free college for everyone, cancelled student loans, free housing, free cell phones, free beer. Well, unless the EU is planning to kick in their entire GDP for the next hundred years, then we suckers who have worked, paid our own way, and saved for retirement, are the ones who are going to get the bill for the free stuff. That is, us plus our children and grandchildren… Read more »

A modern variation on an old expression that is the working philosophy of most politicians: “You can fool all the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time…and usually, that’s sufficient.”
