Hey Uncle Joe? Can you hurry up with that $1400? I want to buy some ammo!

JNew

It’s “grandpa” Joe.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA……………………….No.

Just keeps getting crazier! Try to find primers at any price.

I bought 5 thousand each of large and small rifle primers several years ago. Still have a few thousand of each. I still have a couple hundred of large and small pistol primers.

Who needs gun control, when the cost of ammo makes it unaffordable to practice beyond a few rounds at the range? Even the .22LR round has become unaffordable.

Bozz

I went to the range last week and shot about 239 rounds of 9mm and 45 ACP. Dang, at these prices, it cost me about $240 plus the range fee for a couple hours of fun. Fortunately I didn’t pay near that for the ammo I bought and stocked up on years ago. But that’s what it would cost me to replace it.

I don’t care if this is short-term or not, there is no way in hell it’s any kind of a reasonable, “money-saving” deal that AmmoLand is claiming in the disclaimer. It would be closer to the truth to claim it’s a short-term screwing than a deal. Shame on AmmoLand for being a shill for this ripoff.

JPM, If you know of this ammo for less, let us all know. I see it up to $1.60 a round. Most places it’s OOS. THAT’S the point. These aren’t great price deals, they’re real world, at-this-moment, prices on in stock ammo. Nobody likes the lack of ammo or what it costs. This is to help people find ANY ammo, and at the best price we can find. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. Since you’re so obviously well versed in market economics and planning I’m sure that you don’t need any ammo and have several years worth already… Read more »

Is it made for the Mexican military or the drug cartels?

$1 a round for 9MM! Glad I stocked up.

If I can make them for less than 15 cents a round I’m pretty sure the manufacturers can make them for less. I did a little calculating. Discounting the minuscule amount of the copper jacket, the cost of raw materials for a 9mm. round is as follows based on NY Spot price today. Lead – 124gr. – 1.6¢ Brass – 58gr. 70% copper – 2.1¢, 30% Zinc – 2.4¢ Powder and primer add maybe 5¢. Total – 11¢ rounded, add in manufacturing and packaging costs and one round should cost about 20¢ each or $10 for 50 rounds. And I’m… Read more »

They can. What does the manufacturers cost have to do with the retail price?
