Plan Now To Defeat The San Jose Strategy

Warning Take Action Call Protest
Below the Radar: Making America Safe and Secure Act of 2019

San Jose, California – -(AmmoLand.com)- Many Second Amendment supporters make one big strategic mistake: They fail to understand just how creative our enemies are. Whether it was big city mayors trying to use civil litigation to bludgeon gun manufacturers out of existence, Andrew Cuomo using financial regulations to cripple pro-Second Amendment activism, or even the increasing dehumanization that anti-Second Amendment extremists engage in, it seems we’re always caught by surprise and having to react to their latest scheme.

This is going to be crucial to rectify, because should the Supreme Court rule in our favor on the Duncan and Miller cases out of California, it will only have take bans of standard capacity magazines and modern multi-purpose semiautomatics off the table. It will leave multiple avenues of attack open.

This includes the recent proposal celebrated by San Jose mayor Sam Liccardo. This is not the first time Liccardo has tried to shift blame for crimes and acts of madness on those who were exercising their constitutional rights. During the 2016 campaign, he blamed Trump for the actions of rioters who targeted people who exercised their First Amendment rights by attending one of his rallies. We covered the similar scheme that Carolyn Maloney proposed earlier.

Liccardo tried to justify his attack by saying, “While the Second Amendment protects the right to bear arms, it does not require taxpayers to subsidize gun ownership.” Not only that, they will also look to make us pay for the “societal costs” of exercising our Second Amendment rights. The goal, as it was with any scheme like this, is to make it too expensive and inconvenient to exercise our Second Amendment rights.

Think that will be all that happens on this front? Get ready to see them try to expand the scope of the National Firearms Act. Sheila Jackson Lee, to date, hasn’t been able to get co-sponsorship on the Sabika Sheikh Firearms Licensing and Registration Act. Think that will be the case if gun bans are off the table? Guess again, they’ll be coming to license and register, and they will even try to spin opposition to those measures as paranoia because, after all, “The Supreme Court won’t let us ban guns.” We’re not even getting to the risks posed to our Second Amendment rights by corporate gun control and financial blacklisting.

The work will be only starting. The good news, in the case of San Jose, is that the Firearms Policy Coalition is already threatening legal action to halt Liccardo’s scheme. But the real work is going to involve defeating anti-Second Amendment extremists at the ballot box at the federal, state, and local levels.

It all comes down to future elections.
If election results (regardless of actual votes) give democrat communists a monopoly of power – as currently in some states – the Second Amendment is DONE!
It will take a shooting war to keep American Freedoms.
The democrat agenda has no room for American Constitutional Freedoms.

America devolving into a shooting war is pretty much a given at this point, unless a peaceful national divorce for irreconcilable differences/ secession is somehow negotiated.

Good luck with that! American citizens have more guns than all militaries and police worldwide, combined. An amendment to overturn the 2nd does not negate the pre-existing right to keep and bear arms, as SCOTUS admitted in U.S. v. Cruikshank, and even if by some devious acts of fraud the left passed such an abomination, the revolution would put them in their place.

All they need to do is outlaw “assault weapons” same as NY, CT etc.
They do not need to confiscate, time will give them the result they want. The next generation will accept EU / Australian type gun control. Each generation is more and more indoctrinated to the global agenda. They are not worried about gun control, and do not value the right to firearm ownership in any significant numbers. They are willing to FIGHT for climate change referendums and social change.

Outlawing “assault” weapons will result in fewer politicians, not fewer weapons. A direct attack on the 2nd will result in violence, which is precisely why the Left has pursued an incremental approach. Turn the water up to a boil to quick and the frogs will jump out.

NY, CT and others who tried it have less than 5% compliance. People don’t register their firearms, and not a single magazine has been surrendered. But the left should go ahead and try, as it will blow up in their faces that much quicker.

Yup

Congratulations, you finally finished an article without going down on the NRA. However, Americans who support the 2nd don’t make the “mistake of failing to anticipate how creative enemies of freedom” can be. We know the power hungry lefties want total disarmament, and will play the long game, taking one slice of cake at a time, always wanting more. They will do anything and everything they can to limit, infringe, tax, license, register, confiscate, ban and outlaw anything firearm related, all in an effort to disarm the public. We all know this. It is a never ending battle of good… Read more »

Why is it that Kalifornia politicians lie their asses off and pass dumb and illegal laws? We should remove their immunity then when those laws are overturned we must go back to them and collect the fees for all expences for overturning those inane laws.
In this case, what part does; “shall not be infringed” mean to the moron of San Jose????

You do realize that an Amendment to the Constitution has to be ratified by the legislatures in three-fourths of the States or ratifying conventions in three-fourths of the States must approve the proposed amendment. Any bill (Amendment) passed by 2/3rds of congress still requires ratification by the States. I do not think this can happen at this time. A lot will have to change for this to happen.

If not for Manchin and Sinema seeming, so far, to be leery of destroying the foundation of the country, we would already be done.

Here’s the way every scumbag’s criminal anti-Constitutional plan is defeated: stop pretending that any of them have any authority over you, your actions, your property, and your life. They don’t, and they never did, without your active participation. Stop being a child. It’s time to grow up.

This doesn’t even make any sense. He doesn’t say anything in the article about anything you are claiming. His point is excellent, gungrabbers will continue finding ways to destroy liberty & bring kommunism,we need to be prepared for whatever bs they come up with,& we need to vote actual constitutionalist in instead of crony left/right cowards like Mittens.

I don’t understand why this JLS post received negative votes. Also, one typo doesn’t undo literate writing. And why the nasty slur? Anti-gun agents provocateurs read these posts; let’s not give them further excuses to demean us as immature rednecks.

Apparently you’re unaware that he’s copied & scharted the same spamarrhea about 100x with the WEASEL part, smears as blasphemers who don’t believe Christ wants us to OBEY tyrants, etc. He gets what he put in. Don’t be a bubbleboy. We’re not submitting posts for a church newspaper here.

Sounds good, BUT, HERE’S THE PROBLEM! The NY SAFE ACT has a 4% compliance rate. Everyone is waiting for the Supreme Court to overturn the law. In the mean time, if you don’t register, for fear of confiscation, or if you don’t modify to comply, your rifle becomes useless. They may drop the gun part of a home invasion, bail reform could let them right out, and charges could be reduced. BUT A LEGAL GUN OWNER FAILING TO COMPLY WITH GUN CONTROL LAWS WILL GET THE BOOK THROWN AT HIM/HER! FELONY – CONFISCATE ALL FIREARMS – LOSE GUN RIGHTS FOR… Read more »
