Is Biden’s ATF “Rogue” Gun Dealer Claim Just Made Up? ~ VIDEO

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- I’m Charlie Cook and welcome to another Ammoland News Second Amendment Update.

Joe Biden has declared war on the American gun dealer.

Biden claims these “rogue dealers” willfully transfer firearms to prohibited persons, fail to conduct background checks, falsify records, or just refuse to cooperate with ATF.

The Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project wanted to know how many of these “rogue dealers” actually existed in America, so they filed a Freedom of Information Act request.

And if this “rogue dealer” story WAS true, they also wanted to know how many gun shops have been charged or had been prosecuted for refusing to cooperate with ATF.

…..4 months passed before the ATF would even acknowledge.. that they received the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA request…. and still provided no final response.

For the next few months, SAF repeatedly called the ATF’s information office but couldn’t even get anyone to pick up the phone.

That was until last month when they finally got through to a real person, Information Officer Zina Kornegay. She said there was some back & forth on the best way to handle the FOIA request-response, and she would look into it, and call SAF back with an answer. Another delay!!

Now …another month.. has passed, and we continue to wait on ATF’s return call. But SAF still is NOT giving up. The Journalism Project is filing a new and 2ND FOIA request to get all communications surrounding the ATF’s non-response to their…. 1st FOIA request!

Could it be that Joe Biden’s “rouge dealers” don’t exist?

Or is it that the ATF has a different definition of “rogue dealers?” …..AmmoLand has multiple news reports showing ATF was targeting FFLs for revocations over minor paperwork errors.

A mistake as simple as forgetting to send a “multiple-handgun sales form” would mean that the FFL could lose their livelihood…. Are these the “rouge dealers” that Joe Biden is talking about? Or did he just make up the “rogue” narrative to justify his push for oppressive gun control?

Tell us what you think in the comments below and share this video with your family & friends to help support Ammoland News, America’s oldest Second Amendment news outlet.

Joey’s rogue gun runner dealers exist….they’re called ATF, FBI agents……ala Fast and Furious. And, the only government person shot was a Border Agent, Brian Terry, as I recall.

Rogue Gun Dealers? Anyone with a pittance of knowledge of the firearms issue in the US, knows FFL dealers are highly regulated and required to keep stringent sales/inventory records. Why would such a business risk their livelihood by selling so much as a .22 round as an unauthorized purchase? But anti-gunners know this fact. They just want to gin up antipathy to guns and gun owners. Against such prejudice, truth has rough hill to climb.

MICHAELANGELO

Biden is such an ASSHOLE!!! “SHE” is the worst president in the history of this country. It is time for all of us to take a stand. This is wrong, unlawful, and unconstitutional. Biden does not care about the laws of this country. This “WOMAN” is as dangerous as putin. She is a total failure. It is very sad that the atf is in a conspiracy with HER!!!

MP71

This whole “rogue gun dealer” narrative is straight out of the Joseph Goebbles playbook. Repeating a lie until it becomes truth. The idiot sheeple who buy the BS will be grateful that “something “ is being done.
As for O’Biden, he hasn’t had original thought in years. He’s reading off a teleprompter or repeating what his handlers are piping into his earpiece and he’s not even particularly good at that.

If Xiden ever had a thought of his own, he would identify as STUPID.

The only thing one can trust an addled old left wing liberal (Joe Biden) to do is attempt to screw our country, our Constitution, our culture and ultimately our Freedom.
We must retake Congress in the 2022 mid-term elections with true Constitutional conservatives or face the fact that the United States of America is doomed.

Wild Bill

Well and clearly stated.

My question of history: When has Fing Joe Biden not Lied?

Wild Bill

Yes, his entire career! And peddled influence, too. But what does that say about the people that voted for him all those years?

swmft

it says he either comes from a state where corruption is the norm , or where the general population is stupid. Worst part is it could be either,or both.

Stag

Just so everyone knows, the ATF is going much further than what is being reported. They are being told to pull licenses from FFLs for even the most minor of discrepancies regardless whether it is the FFL’s mistake or the transferee’s. Minor errors on 4473 forms like forgetting to check a box or initial and date a correction or minor errors in a FFL’s logbook can now lead to you losing your FFL. Even if it is a single mistake and even if the FFL has no other hits against him. These orders are coming to the ATF directly from… Read more »

Wild Bill

Good intel. I wonder where the ATF inspectors are going to earn a living after they pull all the licenses of the FFL holders? I wonderubf if the ATF inspectors are smart enough to know that when there are no FFL holders to inspect, the ATF will eliminate their jobs.

Stag

I can’t speak for all of them but I can tell you the one I spoke to was well aware of this. The ATF loves FFLs because we generate a lot of revenue for them. The Biden administration, however, hates FFLs.

Wild Bill

The rank and file better take defensive action and shut up about it.

MP71

They’ll be sent out undercover to ranges to spy on us and jam up any range that fails to rat out their customers for having “illegal” guns. Some will spend their days in online forums or marketplaces setting up honey traps.

swmft

or trolling liquor stores for illegal sales A is for?

Wild Bill

That would be the special agents. I don’t think the inspectors would be assigned that work or the special agents would be out of work. I could be wrong.

JSNMGC

Thanks for that information.

For all the people who claimed the BATFE was a “rogue” agency – they are not. They are government employees who follow orders and they would have followed orders from Trump as well.

Obviously, they will all retain their jobs even if every FFL in America is shut-down. They are government employees – they will be given medals.

atf should be dissolved , the minute government organization used against we the people gone funding ended members black listed no hire

Stag

Absolutely.

We already know of the incontinence incompetence of Biden when it comes to facts, truth, or even coherent sentence structure. We already know how well the comrade puppet masters can create a cute turn of a phrase to to further ‘enlighten’ those dupes so vehemently sucking on the teat of socialist-big tech-Hollywood media. So why bother with so much effort gleaning the truth? It’s not like the NY Times would suddenly start printing retractions, or Facetoob would suddenly start blocking anti-constitutional, pro-gun ownership or carry comments. Once the 2 FOIA requests are resolved, hopefully in my lifetime, we may see… Read more »

Joe Biden has declared war on America attacking us on several fronts, food prices, fuel prices, rampant crime and surrendering to the Taliban. Biden is a disaster and a disgrace to the office of President and an international embarrassment.

Wild Bill

Retake Congress, impeach and convect Biden-Harris.

musicman44mag

Ok, what I get out of this and the way I would handle it is as such. I would send a second request in addition I would be obtaining a law firm and challenging not getting the FOIA, the new law change, if the action taken was legally taken, if the change of definition was legally made regarding the definition of how a fully automatic action works while requesting a stay of execution of action regarding what happens to the people that already purchased the triggers. Do the same dam thing to them that they do to us. Delay delay… Read more »

Form 4473 has room for 5 firearms in one transaction. If more than 1 (maybe 2) handguns are purchased within a certain time frame (a month I think) the FFL is required to fill out and send a form via certified mail to the ATF. I would guess so the purchaser could be prosecuted for straw sales if one of these showed up at a future crime scene. Hmm, sounds a bit like an abbreviated gun registry me. (At first I wrote mini-gun registry which has a certain desirability if you know what I mean.)

musicman44mag

thanks for responding

swmft

mini gun or a gau8 would be nice. could give new meaning to road rage. we have had at least two incidents per week of people shooting at other cars dont know what is wrong with people
if I understand the other part basically says if you are buying more than one pistol use more than one dealer , wounder if ar lowers fall in this i know people who bought ten because they have kids and thought what a great family project

“I didn’t know there was a multiple gun form. How many guns is considered multiple, two?” Licensees must report the sale of two or more handguns to the same person if they occur at the same time or within five consecutive business days of each other. You have the GCA to thank for this. In 2011, ATF was “authorized” to enforce multiple firearms sales for certain types of rifles from FFLs in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. FFLs in these states must report the following types of rifles: 1) Semiautomatic rifles. 2) Rifles with a caliber greater than .22… Read more »

thanks for taking the time to provide the information. I was going to buy 6 Henry survival rifles. We have a 10 dollar fee here for background check. They wanted to charge me the fee for every three guns and had no explanation why other than those are the rules, Sportsman’s Warehouse. I question having to fill out a form if you buy two guns at the same time or if they are five days apart. So, if I use two separate stores how does one store know from the other when I purchased the guns. Doesn’t make sense unless… Read more »

im not so sure how bad the dumpers are there, but with cameras on the wall they dumped in front of my house they covered plate when the turned down dirt road, camera by the mailbox caught that and the tag ,police wont show until late afternoon

Wild Bill

Hmmm, that is some response time. Knowing that could be useful later.

musicman44mag

Your lucky they would show at all. Usually they take a report and the information over the phone, give you a report number and then you never hear about it again because they are busy chasing real criminals and not people littering at least so they say. You must live in a small town where the cops can do all aspects of their job.

Wild Bill

Maybe I am not understanding your situation, but if you put one firearm in six different places or conveyances, the unattended ones are at risk of being stolen.

Why not just buy a handgun and holster. That would be with you whenever you went to each of the six places, and attended to at all times. Might even be cheaper.

take down rifles are usually four legged varmint control so you need them with you wherever , pistol on hip is for two legged varmint control

Wild Bill

Oh, he is varmint hunting? I thought that they were survival rifles? Ok, then.

swmft

do you not understand what is needed for survival in the wild ,or was that just a flippant response?

Wild Bill

Neither … I had Henry survival rifle in my thoughts.

musicman44mag

Or bears, mountain lion, cougar, badgers, whatever decides it wants to end its existence by attacking me.

Wild Bill

Ok.

musicman44mag

the unattended ones are at risk of being stolen. I don’t carry a Henry 22lr survival rifle on my hip. They would have to break into safes in the trailer, motorhome and cars to get to the weapons. I like the idea of having something to shoot small animals with for survival if needed and mostly to shoot three consecutive shots wait three minutes and then shoot three more until help arrives is appealing to me. 100 22lr takes a lot less space in your pocket than 40 cal and is easier to carry. The sound might not travel as… Read more »

Stag

You’re welcome. Regarding your statement about Sportsmans Warehouse, FFLs set their own prices when it comes to transfer fees. This is to compensate for their time and effort in doing the paperwork and everything else involved from when they first order the gun to when you pick it up. I can verify having a FFL and selling arms is time consuming and tedious due to all the regulations we have to follow and paperwork involved. I’m sure the clerk had no idea why they charge what they do considering those fees are decided at the corporate level when it comes… Read more »

isnt it odd criminal actions by government equals new restrictions on us, you can bet that violates a few parts of the constitution

Stag

I think they’re working exactly as intended and that would be to more tightly control the people. Damn right they violate the constitution.
