Joe Biden has declared war on the American gun dealer.
Biden claims these “rogue dealers” willfully transfer firearms to prohibited persons, fail to conduct background checks, falsify records, or just refuse to cooperate with ATF.
The Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project wanted to know how many of these “rogue dealers” actually existed in America, so they filed a Freedom of Information Act request.
And if this “rogue dealer” story WAS true, they also wanted to know how many gun shops have been charged or had been prosecuted for refusing to cooperate with ATF.
…..4 months passed before the ATF would even acknowledge.. that they received the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA request…. and still provided no final response.
For the next few months, SAF repeatedly called the ATF’s information office but couldn’t even get anyone to pick up the phone.
That was until last month when they finally got through to a real person, Information Officer Zina Kornegay. She said there was some back & forth on the best way to handle the FOIA request-response, and she would look into it, and call SAF back with an answer. Another delay!!
Now …another month.. has passed, and we continue to wait on ATF’s return call. But SAF still is NOT giving up. The Journalism Project is filing a new and 2ND FOIA request to get all communications surrounding the ATF’s non-response to their…. 1st FOIA request!
Could it be that Joe Biden’s “rouge dealers” don’t exist?
Or is it that the ATF has a different definition of “rogue dealers?” …..AmmoLand has multiple news reports showing ATF was targeting FFLs for revocations over minor paperwork errors.
A mistake as simple as forgetting to send a “multiple-handgun sales form” would mean that the FFL could lose their livelihood…. Are these the “rouge dealers” that Joe Biden is talking about? Or did he just make up the “rogue” narrative to justify his push for oppressive gun control?

Just so everyone knows, the ATF is going much further than what is being reported. They are being told to pull licenses from FFLs for even the most minor of discrepancies regardless whether it is the FFL’s mistake or the transferee’s. Minor errors on 4473 forms like forgetting to check a box or initial and date a correction or minor errors in a FFL’s logbook can now lead to you losing your FFL. Good intel. I wonder where the ATF inspectors are going to earn a living after they pull all the licenses of the FFL holders? I wonderubf if the ATF inspectors are smart enough to know that when there are no FFL holders to inspect, the ATF will eliminate their jobs.
I can’t speak for all of them but I can tell you the one I spoke to was well aware of this. The ATF loves FFLs because we generate a lot of revenue for them. The Biden administration, however, hates FFLs.
The rank and file better take defensive action and shut up about it.
They’ll be sent out undercover to ranges to spy on us and jam up any range that fails to rat out their customers for having “illegal” guns. Some will spend their days in online forums or marketplaces setting up honey traps.

That would be the special agents. I don’t think the inspectors would be assigned that work or the special agents would be out of work. I could be wrong.

For all the people who claimed the BATFE was a “rogue” agency – they are not. They are government employees who follow orders and they would have followed orders from Trump as well.
Obviously, they will all retain their jobs even if every FFL in America is shut-down. They are government employees – they will be given medals.

Form 4473 has room for 5 firearms in one transaction. If more than 1 (maybe 2) handguns are purchased within a certain time frame (a month I think) the FFL is required to fill out and send a form via certified mail to the ATF. I would guess so the purchaser could be prosecuted for straw sales if one of these showed up at a future crime scene. Hmm, sounds a bit like an abbreviated gun registry me. (At first I wrote mini-gun registry which has a certain desirability if you know what I mean.)
mini gun or a gau8 would be nice. could give new meaning to road rage. we have had at least two incidents per week of people shooting at other cars dont know what is wrong with people
if I understand the other part basically says if you are buying more than one pistol use more than one dealer , wounder if ar lowers fall in this i know people who bought ten because they have kids and thought what a great family project

I know what you mean, the joggers throw their plastic bottles where they finish with it . at the house in mass it is land grant so i own the beach these people trespass make a putrid mess have the land posted now and only give access to people that are like minded the rest can eat the trash they throw everywhere
and by the way write to the logging company let them know many will give you a letter glad to have free help in keeping it clean
im not so sure how bad the dumpers are there, but with cameras on the wall they dumped in front of my house they covered plate when the turned down dirt road, camera by the mailbox caught that and the tag ,police wont show until late afternoon

Maybe I am not understanding your situation, but if you put one firearm in six different places or conveyances, the unattended ones are at risk of being stolen.
Why not just buy a handgun and holster. That would be with you whenever you went to each of the six places, and attended to at all times. Might even be cheaper.
take down rifles are usually four legged varmint control so you need them with you wherever , pistol on hip is for two legged varmint control

You’re welcome. Regarding your statement about Sportsmans Warehouse, FFLs set their own prices when it comes to transfer fees. This is to compensate for their time and effort in doing the paperwork and everything else involved from when they first order the gun to when you pick it up. I can verify having a FFL and selling arms is time consuming and tedious due to all the regulations we have to follow and paperwork involved. Rogue Gun Dealers? Anyone with a pittance of knowledge of the firearms issue in the US, knows FFL dealers are highly regulated and required to keep stringent sales/inventory records. Why would such a business risk their livelihood by selling so much as a .22 round as an unauthorized purchase? But anti-gunners know this fact. They just want to gin up antipathy to guns and gun owners. Against such prejudice, truth has rough hill to climb.
