Gun Control Failed and Innocent People Died on the New York Subway

New York is an anti-gun dystopia. IMG iStock-884181314

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Trust us, they said. They shouted it from the podium and from the headlines. New York politicians said they would take care of us. They said we don’t need to have a firearm and protect ourselves or the people we love. They said that if we voted for them then they keep us safe when we’re in public. All they needed was a little more gun control and then we’ll finally be safe.

This latest mass murder on the subway is different is scale, but similar in type to what we see every week. If we stop to look at it, the murders on the subway remind us that New York Democrats lied and we are not safe at all. The open question is if we’ll pay attention and really look at what is going on.

We have the right to defend ourselves. Like the rest of our rights, that doesn’t come with any provisions other than to use it responsibly.

New Yorkers chose to give that right away to the government, and then the government, both state and city, failed to live up to their part of the bargain. They lied.. and people died.. again.

We were told that bad guys would be disarmed by gun laws, but clearly, they weren’t. We were told that the police would be there to defend us but they were nowhere to be seen even in the middle of rush hour. We were told that disarming the law-abiding citizens of New York should make us safer, but it didn’t. This isn’t theory, but fact.

Despite what we were told, despite what we were promised, we saw that disarming honest citizens doesn’t disarm the criminals and the crazy people. We were told that disarming the good guys would make the bad guys harmless, but it didn’t. So what are we going to do now?

What are you going to do? You can sit in your apartment with the three deadbolts and pretend there isn’t a problem. You can pretend it is someone else’s problem and vote the way you always vote. You have choices to make.

You can vote to put people in office who respect your right of self-defense, but any election is months away. You can move and live in a place where you can protect yourself and the people you love. You can do that in a few days.

The choice is up to you but expecting things to somehow change by themselves in New York City means you are the crazy person. It is insane to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. You won’t be alone whatever choice you make. Lots of people choose to do nothing and pretend the next time will be different. That is a choice.

The same old politicians will keep doing what they have always done and blame someone else. We still have choices even if the politicians don’t change. I left California five years ago and moved to a free state. I don’t want my home to become more like California or New York or New Jersey. I want it to remain different.

You have choices too. I trust you to make the right ones. Now, what will you do?

Revolving doors on court buildings is no justice at all. The media only tells the narrative that continues the lie. Truth in Journalism is dead now under the control of the democratic socialist party.

john

NYS is no longer a nice place to call home. The mountains the lakes the long island sound the ocean the rivers hunting were some of the best in our country.

The democrats progressives liberals are some of the worst in the country next to California .

swmft

Berkshires and Poconos were nice too

PMinFl

Poconos are in Pa.

Montana454Casull

Gun free zones create target rich environments for armed criminals . The left wants to turn us all into victims so they can use the tragedy to strip us law biding citizens of our second amendment rights . They never let’s a tragedy go to waste when they can use it to spin the narrative.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

The second amendment was written to tell those that are administering government to LEAVE THE RIGHT ALONE. If our right was based on the 2nd amendment all they would have to do is ratify an amendment that says it no longer is in force and effect and your “right” would be gone. So in another words the RIGHT exists in LIEU of the 2nd amendment. I wish folks would quit talking or writing about “our 2nd amendment” “rights”.

Wild Bill

Yes, let crime control begin at the border!

Darkman

The Border should be a Free Fire Zone. Everywhere except at designated entry points. With a cash bounty on Criminal Illegal Aliens. Visitors come to the front door and ask to come in. Criminals sneak around the fence and break in the backdoor.

Wild Bill

The founding fathers never anticipated that any elected officials would intentionally work against the interests of the nation and We the People.

Chris Mallory

Yes they did. The Anti Federalists knew exactly how elected officials would behave and were right. We should have stayed under The Articles of Confederation. It took a coup by the Federalists, mass immigration starting in the 1830’s, and the election of the tyrant Lincoln to give us the mess we have today.

Wild Bill

The founders did anticipate some graft by elected officials, but not to the kind and extent of todays clever politicians.
I agree about staying with the Articles of Confederation. There is a very explanitory book detailing exactly who and how that got done. The Quartet by Joseph Ellis.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

In darkness, behind closed doors in secret they drafted the Constitution. The Constitution would work if folks obeyed their oaths of office, but they haven’t been doing that since the Whiskey Rebellion.

Tionico

thanks for mentioning the former corporate railroad lawyer and his clear role in pointing us in this direction. A pox on his house……

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

To bad he wasn’t shot the minute he started his tyrannical acts.

Oldman

That is because the founding fathers did not take their freedom for granted. It is the uneducated, (it’s not their fault really), younger folk who by rite of passage have determined that freedom does not have to be earned or fought for. The younger folk are being told how to live by the people they vote in to office and never take exception to anything.

Wild Bill

Yes, and it is sad and alarming, at the same time.

Because the militias have been disbanded and their power to convene grand juries and get indictments under common law are long gone.

Yes they did. That’s why they included 1A, 2A, 4A, 5A, 9A, 10A and some other As. Lots of founding father quotes to that effect, including:

Wild Bill

Yes, the commanders need practice in running PW camps; transport guards need practice; and graves registration needs practice.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

The major problem is WHY they are coming here. For a free suck on the tit of government for all the “free” shit they can get. THAT’S the main issue. Free medical, free food, free housing, free free free free while we are enslaved to them. There are some areas of the country they best not drop them off in.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

We don’t need a wall. We need two fences with a no mans land in between with motion dectors that cause robotic rifles or drones to shoot intruders. That would stop it IMMEDIATELY. Sort of like the drones in “Colony” with Josh Holiday.

Immigration is assigned, by the Constitution, to the federal government, exclusively. Gov. Abbott is using trespass law, which is within the Tenth Amendment police power, but it is not a real good fit.

Last edited 1 year ago by Wild Bill
Wild Bill

Abbott does have a moral duty, but the law is not on his side. He is using the Texas law available to him, but it is not a good fit.
This administration might, but federal forces against state forces would not be good.

john

The problem is nationwide at this point illegals have been delivered in the dark of night to every state. Our laws have been broken Democrats never prosecute their own. Governors are dangerous it is mayors that are the real issues very hard to remove from office.

swmft

the next congress will have to make someone other than the president run border control

Russn8r

Actually, the Supreme Law of the Land is on his side.

Bull shit. Watch the video I’m posting here and see how federal forces against a county sheriff did over a washed out bridge on “federal government” land. https://libertyfirstsociety.com/noncompliantmovie

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

And that is why we need to get behind guys like this: Mark Foresee is running for sheriff in my county. We could have guys like this running all over the country.

Wild Bill

The Biden Administration handlers are cleverly transporting illegal aliens to every state, so that those states’ welfare systems would have to support the illegal aliens financially. In effect, the Biden Administration handlers are spending each state’s money.
Fill every bus with gathered up illegals and transport them to Washington, DC because Washington, DC is not a state.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

WHY do the states have to support them? THEY ARE ILLEGAL INVADERS! Geezzzz…if they came to my office and I was handing out freebies, I’d ask to see their PAPERS and if they didn’t have any they can take a hike! STATES cannot be “required” to take care of these disease ridden masses of useless humanity. And if I sound racist, who gives a shit?

Last edited 1 year ago by Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

Because of the “equal protection clause” of the 14th amendment. State welfare programs were designed to protect people that had fallen on hard times … grandma, young mothers etc., illegal aliens are persons and get equal protection because they are persons.
If we would change the word persons to citizens, in the Fourteenth Amendment, then we could do as you suggest.

Russn8r

Abbott has the power under his Constitutional oath:

“The US shall guarantee every state a republican form of gvt and protect each of them against invasion.” ~Article IV §4

“No State shall Compact with another State or foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded or in imminent Danger.” ~Art I §10

But it’s Abbott’s typical election Kabuki: The busing to DC is voluntary, by invitation. Every illegal going wants a free ride to DC.

Wild Bill

Unfortunately, no.

Russn8r

Happily, yes.

Wild Bill

The writers of the Constitution were specifically worried about the armies of France, England, and Spain, but realized invasion could be by anyone’s armies. The original intent was invasion by European powers.
Just because the modern popular press calls the mess at at the border an invasion does not mean that it an invasion within the original meaning of the founders.
It is no more an invasion than the patriots of Jan 6 are and insurrection.

Russn8r

That’s your opinion. Evidence? Authorities?

It’s an invasion, and it’s not just ‘the press’ calling it what it is.

Last edited 1 year ago by Russn8r
Wild Bill

If we change the intent of the drafters to what we want then we are no better than the marxist democrats. There is already federal statute enough to rid ourselves of all the illegal aliens, without resorting to interpretive shenanigans. We just have to win the next couple of elections.

Russn8r

Do you speak for the drafters? I don’t think so.

Wild Bill

Of course I do not speak for the drafters, they are dead. There is, however, a lot of documentation that provides context and intent, if one is willing to read an actual book.

Russn8r

If you had evidence the founders wouldn’t have seen millions of foreigners a year invading the USA as an invasion, threatening our republican form of gvt, an imminent danger that will not admit of delay, justifying invocation of Art I §10, you’d provide it.

Your snarky smokescreen is transparent.

Wild Bill

The Treaty of Paris gave all British land claims south of Canada and north of Florida and from the east coast out to the Mississippi to the United States. The government under the Articles of Confederation and a little later the Constitution intended to sell that land at one dollar per acre to pay of the war debt from the revolution. About 160,000,000 acres. But there were not enough Americans, so a flood of immigrants was welcomed. The invasion that the drafters were about was the Armies of Britton, France, and Spain. And they were right as evidenced by the… Read more »

Russn8r

So, you’re still long on opinion, short on authorities to prove the framers would not have seen an invasion as an invasion. No quotes from any o’ them books you “actually” read?

“The Quartet” by J.J. Ellis

Wild Bill

There was no complicated Immigration Act at that time.

Arny

It has been a invasion for the last 5 decades costing taxpayers over $200 Billion for border security. By the same politicians wanting open borders today. Why the change of law ?

Russn8r

The invasion costs us over $1 Trillion a year in K-12 “education” (indoctrination/grooming) costs alone. $15k/student/yr, $25k including capital cost. Take the typical invader family with at least 4 kids = $60k to $100k/yr.

Wild Bill

In a manner of speaking, but it is not the invasion that the writers of the Constitution meant. See “The Quartet” by J. J. Ellis

Wild Bill

You are absolutely right. I think that there are a different group of people (marxist/socialist) with their hands on the levers of power, just now. The marxist socialists have been slowly and quietly infecting every aspect of our society for a hundred years, and they are trying to destroy the United States. Open borders are just one cut of a thousand.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

WHAT? You have to be brain dead to see that this is not and invasion! WTF else would you call it? I don’t give a rats ass what Biden calls it, they are INVADING to get their tit from the Feds.

No, your modern definition of invasion is simply not the definition of invasion that the drafters of the Constitution were using.

Arny

Exactly once in DC they spread to other States. Why are the Fools so easily duped into thinking Abbott is doing a good thing ? lol

Wild Bill

If Abbot transported the illegal aliens to any state then that state’s welfare system would have to support the illegals.
By sending the illegal aliens to DC, then the federal government has to support the illegals because Washing ton D.C. is not a state and running that city comes out of the federal budget.

Russn8r

Mass illegal immigration aka invasion is not exclusively assigned to the federales. See Article IV §4 & Article 1 §10.

The democrats are trying to change the meaning of “insurrection” into something the authors never intended. The marxist democrat party and other unethical persons do that a lot.

The politicians really just don’t care about our safety. They are concerned for their own well being as evidenced in their security details. Our votes will be replaced by those of illegals.

They would change their ways if there was enough public pressure. There are far too many people apologizing and going to extreme, illogical lengths to protect their image. It makes you wonder why the vast majority of police cruisers have “To protect and serve,” painted on them… let’s read that again “To PROTECT and SERVE”. If, in fact, the police are not obligated to protect us, then that phrase needs to be removed from the law enforcement vocabulary all together…

Yes. They do protect and serve (the state) – and a certain percentage will follow any order to enforce any law against those people they were ordered to enforce them against.

This has all played out many times before in other places.

Maybe if there is enough awareness and social pressure, this behavior will not expand in the U.S.

No thanks. Government abuses every power you allow them. Sometimes in very predictable ways, other times they surprise you.

1) Coasted through a stop sign with unloaded firearm locked in trunk
2) Walked past an obscured no-guns sign wearing a pistol
3) Drove through a ban state – regardless of FOPA or anything else…

You’ve committed your third crime with a gun. Good bye.

JSNMGC

Not only that, but the process leading-up to the death sentence is heavily dependent on government employees. Government emloyees who are lazy, incompetent, corrupt, dishonest, vindictive, and dumb. Any combination of those traits could lead to the innocent being killed by government employees. An execution cannot be overturned.

It’s hard to understand why, after so many abuses and screw-ups, people still have so much faith in government employees.

JSNMGC

Ha! I hear you.

How many cases of planting evidence, tampering with evidence, destroying evidence, lying in police reports, lying on the stand, and applying the law to one group of people and not to another (e.g., Hunter Biden & Hillary Clinton) do we have to see before we become cautious about giving the government the ultimate power?

Last edited 1 year ago by JSNMGC
JSNMGC

That is certainly part of it.

We have had ex-government employees on this site indicate that if they were back in their old jobs they would kill (or set-up to be killed) people who simply disagreed with them on politics. They are the same ones who wanted people censored by being banned from this site.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

I found out today that if you don’t sign your registration receipt that you carry in your car for your license plate in “my” state that you can be fined $100. NO incentive there for abuse! No, not at all. I found that of all four of them in my four cars that NONE of them were signed.

Russn8r

It also promotes enemy propaganda & principles: That a crime with a gun is worse than the same crime & same same harm done with other weapons like cars, gasoline & matches, fists, knives, bats, poison, bombs.

We should stick to our own 1st principles, not the enemy’s.

Courageous Lion - Hear Me Roar - Jus Meum Tuebor

Good point. It would have to be three crimes where VICTIMS were involved. Robbery, rape, burglary, well you get the idea.

Russn8r

“Please be fair in your assessment of what I write & try to be open minded that not all law enforcement is bad”

I ask the same courtesy. No one here thinks all LEOs are bad. But there are some who think abuse of ‘qualified’ immunity must never be discussed.

I agree with DNA evidence, clear proof of guilt, so more lives aren’t wrecked by dirty cops & prosecutors.

But a crime with a gun should not be punished more harshly than a crime causing the same harm with other weapons, which inadvertently furthers gun grabber principles, not ours.

It’s part of the mantra: If someone criticizes a certain percentage of law enforcement, that person “hates police” because they once got a traffic ticket or they are a felon. That’s the only possible explanation. Those yankee cops are bad, but southern LEOs are Mericans. Federal LEOs are bad, but sheriffs are good. You see, they’re elected. Elderly people are “conservative.” Young people are “liberal.” Afterall, it was the young people of today who elected Wilson, F. Roosevelt, and Johnson. 1750 sermon on the dogma of unlimited submission to authoritah, paved the way for the American Revolution. Many “conservatives” parrot the OBEY doctrine. In context it’s clear Romans 13 prescribes obedience only to rulers who act in good faith for the good of society. Tyrants are not “ordained by God” & it’s the subject’s right to R&R them. The superficial literal reading is self-serving subversion. Gun Control will always fail. Criminal Control is the only possibility of reducing firearms crime. While illegal use of a firearm is already a criminal offense, those who would use a firearm during commission of a crime, don’t give a damn about any laws relative to their criminal act, because the consequences are far too lenient. We must strongly enforce our existing laws against criminal firearms related acts if we expect to ever take the glamour out of the crimes.
