Gun Control Failed and Innocent People Died on the New York Subway

New York is an anti-gun dystopia. IMG iStock-884181314

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- Trust us, they said. They shouted it from the podium and from the headlines. New York politicians said they would take care of us. They said we don’t need to have a firearm and protect ourselves or the people we love. They said that if we voted for them then they keep us safe when we’re in public. All they needed was a little more gun control and then we’ll finally be safe.

This latest mass murder on the subway is different is scale, but similar in type to what we see every week. If we stop to look at it, the murders on the subway remind us that New York Democrats lied and we are not safe at all. The open question is if we’ll pay attention and really look at what is going on.

We have the right to defend ourselves. Like the rest of our rights, that doesn’t come with any provisions other than to use it responsibly.

New Yorkers chose to give that right away to the government, and then the government, both state and city, failed to live up to their part of the bargain. They lied.. and people died.. again.

We were told that bad guys would be disarmed by gun laws, but clearly, they weren’t. We were told that the police would be there to defend us but they were nowhere to be seen even in the middle of rush hour. We were told that disarming the law-abiding citizens of New York should make us safer, but it didn’t. This isn’t theory, but fact.

Despite what we were told, despite what we were promised, we saw that disarming honest citizens doesn’t disarm the criminals and the crazy people. We were told that disarming the good guys would make the bad guys harmless, but it didn’t. So what are we going to do now?

What are you going to do? You can sit in your apartment with the three deadbolts and pretend there isn’t a problem. You can pretend it is someone else’s problem and vote the way you always vote. You have choices to make.

You can vote to put people in office who respect your right of self-defense, but any election is months away. You can move and live in a place where you can protect yourself and the people you love. You can do that in a few days.

The choice is up to you but expecting things to somehow change by themselves in New York City means you are the crazy person. It is insane to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. You won’t be alone whatever choice you make. Lots of people choose to do nothing and pretend the next time will be different. That is a choice.

The same old politicians will keep doing what they have always done and blame someone else. We still have choices even if the politicians don’t change. I left California five years ago and moved to a free state. I don’t want my home to become more like California or New York or New Jersey. I want it to remain different.

You have choices too. I trust you to make the right ones. Now, what will you do?

Gun Control will always fail. Criminal Control is the only possibility of reducing firearms crime. While illegal use of a firearm is already a criminal offense, those who would use a firearm during commission of a crime, don’t give a damn about any laws relative to their criminal act, because the consequences are far too lenient. We must strongly enforce our existing laws against criminal firearms related acts if we expect to ever take the glamour out of the crimes.

CourageousLion

Maybe it’s time that WE THE PEOPLE start looking closely at the “laws” on the books and consider that the possibility exists that if there is a “law” that VIOLATES the Constitution then it is null and void and that ANYONE who enforces the law at gunpoint IS A CRIMINAL. And that we should be willing to SHOOT THE CRIMINAL in the head with the LAWFULLY carried for self defense firearm. And write a letter ahead of time as to why and what you intend so that the world knows you just weren’t being a bad buy guy shooting a… Read more »

I’ve seen some speculate that tthis incidicent is a false flag event. Consider the high round count, large number of injured, and total lack of deaths. These numbers are WAY outise the normal outcome. Unless he is a total incompetent, but that does not seem likely when considering how he worked out all the details in a very intelligent manner (given, of course that his total LACK of intelligence motivated him in the first place). It would fit well that this is a staged event to garner support for even MORE restrictive gun prohibitions than presently exist. thing is, whoever… Read more »

This might be a little off topic, but it does have something to do with gun control and the way the demonratts think and are. You know when Marjorie Taylor Green a firm 2nd amendment supporter is being brought forward on charges that she should not be able to continue being a politician because she supported the Peaceful Protest of Jan. 6th while a Muslim politician that says she hates Israel and supports marrying her own brother and lies to and defrauds the government and the people. The democrats are trying to change the meaning of “insurrection” into something the authors never intended. The marxist democrat party and other unethical persons do that a lot.

Thats the name of their game and unfortunately today’s generation is not smart enough to realize what the older, smarter generation is doing. It pisses me off that pukeoski used that word so the people that were peacefully protesting would fall into a class of terrorists so the government could handle their actions in military fashion. The people of America should be outraged and I am really surprised that there are not protests at the capital in support of the people that didn’t do any wrong just by being there. This non protest is just what the left was wants… Read more »

The Police are under no obligation to protect anyone! You might think I’m wrong but I’m not!
The case Warren vs DC Metro police 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals 1981.
The Court upheld the decision of the lower Court that the Police are under no obligation to protect anyone. Please refer to the book l Dial 911 and Die published by JPFO!
The Police are basically revenue generators and Freebooters and Pirates!
That is the truth of the matter!

Yep, yet they have the nerve to put to serve and protect on their cars. I like LEO if they don’t have an attitude, but I find that the ones that are real people live in the suburbs and country and are not in the city and usually have the title of Sheriff but where I live now the police are real people and I think it is because we are a small town. They would change their ways if there was enough public pressure. There are far too many people apologizing and going to extreme, illogical lengths to protect their image. It’s hysterical that the same people who write about their extreme dislike for the BATFE will go to any length to defend the people who work with the BATFE to enforce laws they indicate they don’t like. Here’s the argument some of them make: Southern LEOs won’t cooperate with the BATFE That’s only one example and it was a long time ago. No legal obligation, per the subversive SCROTUS, but they are still under moral obligation to protect innocent civilians, and not murder them.

TargetAssassin

It makes you wonder why the vast majority of police cruisers have “To protect and serve,” painted on them… let’s read that again “To PROTECT and SERVE”. If, in fact, the police are not obligated to protect us, then that phrase needs to be removed from the law enforcement vocabulary all together…

Russn8r

Yep. It’s on the door of every cruiser everywhere I’ve ever lived.

musicman44mag

Nope. Maybe it is a kommiefornia thing because the sheriff and police had it on the cars in sacratomato. Right along with PIG=Pride Integrity Guts. In fact they have the PIG BOWL football game that is the Sac Sheriffs against the SAC PD every year or at least they used too.

The police are carrying firearms to protect THEMSELVES and those that sign their checks. PERIOD. It should say on their patrol automobiles…TO PROTECT AND SERVE THE STATE.

JSNMGC

Yes. They do protect and serve (the state) – and a certain percentage will follow any order to enforce any law against those people they were ordered to enforce them against.

This has all played out many times before in other places.

Maybe if there is enough awareness and social pressure, this behavior will not expand in the U.S.

JSNMGC

I was unaware of that charge.

The NYPD and prosecutor’s office were successful in charging, convicting, and incarcerating him for illegally carrying. The real offense was not respecting their authority. How dare a “civillian” protect himself from violent criminals.

Russn8r

Good one. Check this out.

https://thefederalistpapers.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Pulpit-of-the-American-Revolution-.pdf
1750 sermon on the dogma of unlimited submission to authoritah, paved the way for the American Revolution. Many “conservatives” parrot the OBEY doctrine. In context it’s clear Romans 13 prescribes obedience only to rulers who act in good faith for the good of society. Tyrants are not “ordained by God” & it’s the subject’s right to R&R them. The superficial literal reading is self-serving subversion. Fools who accept it believe that Nero, Plutarco Elías Calles, Stalin & Mao were “God’s ordained”: OBEY even though they were out to destroy Christianity with torture & mass-murder.

I agree, we need more gun control like a new law that says you have a gun and commit a crime three times with a gun you get the death penalty regardless of anyone being shot or killed at the time. No thanks. Government abuses every power you allow them. Sometimes in very predictable ways, other times they surprise you.

1) Coasted through a stop sign with unloaded firearm locked in trunk
2) Walked past an obscured no-guns sign wearing a pistol
3) Drove through a ban state – regardless of FOPA or anything else…

You’ve committed your third crime with a gun. Good bye.

JSNMGC

Not only that, but the process leading-up to the death sentence is heavily dependent on government employees. Government emloyees who are lazy, incompetent, corrupt, dishonest, vindictive, and dumb. Any combination of those traits could lead to the innocent being killed by government employees. An execution cannot be overturned.

It’s hard to understand why, after so many abuses and screw-ups, people still have so much faith in government employees.

JSNMGC

Ha! I hear you.

How many cases of planting evidence, tampering with evidence, destroying evidence, lying in police reports, lying on the stand, and applying the law to one group of people and not to another (e.g., Hunter Biden & Hillary Clinton) do we have to see before we become cautious about giving the government the ultimate power?

Last edited 1 month ago by JSNMGC
JSNMGC

That is certainly part of it.

We have had ex-government employees on this site indicate that if they were back in their old jobs they would kill (or set-up to be killed) people who simply disagreed with them on politics. They are the same ones who wanted people censored by being banned from this site.

musicman44mag

I agree, that is totally a wrong way of thinking that the new generation seems to think is justified. It goes back to; two wrongs don’t make a right. In my mind, forcefully pushing anything that hurts anyone or property is the wrong way to handle things. There is still law in this land and it might not always seem fair and just, especially now that a two tear system has been proven and established, but beating someone up and intimidating people to get your way is not the first or right way to handle things until all legal avenues… Read more »

“Please be fair in your assessment of what I write & try to be open minded that not all law enforcement is bad”

I ask the same courtesy. No one here thinks all LEOs are bad. But there are some who think abuse of ‘qualified’ immunity must never be discussed.

I agree with DNA evidence, clear proof of guilt, so more lives aren’t wrecked by dirty cops & prosecutors.

But a crime with a gun should not be punished more harshly than a crime causing the same harm with other weapons, which inadvertently furthers gun grabber principles, not ours.

It’s part of the mantra: If someone criticizes a certain percentage of law enforcement, that person “hates police” because they once got a traffic ticket or they are a felon. That’s the only possible explanation. Those yankee cops are bad, but southern LEOs are Mericans. Federal LEOs are bad, but sheriffs are good. You see, they’re elected. Elderly people are “conservative.” Young people are “liberal.” Afterall, it was the young people of today who elected Wilson, F. Roosevelt, and Johnson. What if…we all started using an app on our phones and join local groups and be willing as the colonists were at Concord Green to make a stand against the Blue Coats. Gun free zones create target rich environments for armed criminals . The left wants to turn us all into victims so they can use the tragedy to strip us law biding citizens of our second amendment rights . They never let’s a tragedy go to waste when they can use it to spin the narrative.

CourageousLion

The second amendment was written to tell those that are administering government to LEAVE THE RIGHT ALONE. If our right was based on the 2nd amendment all they would have to do is ratify an amendment that says it no longer is in force and effect and your “right” would be gone. So in another words the RIGHT exists in LIEU of the 2nd amendment. I wish folks would quit talking or writing about “our 2nd amendment” “rights”.

Revolving doors on court buildings is no justice at all. The media only tells the narrative that continues the lie. Truth in Journalism is dead now under the control of the democratic socialist party.

What NYC subway mass murder are you discussing? The April 12th Shooting did not have any deaths. It had 29 victims, 10 wounded by gunfire and 19 with other injuries.

You Get the government you vote for and all the consequences that come with it. Decisions have been made in New York and numerous other Liberal Progressive Democrat states and cities across our nation. Society is witnessing the Consequences, People also decide whether to be Helpless Victims to this kind of violence or Arm and Defend themselves. The old axiom still holds true. It is better to be Judged by 12, Than carried by 6. Because being Dead leaves no question to the outcome.

musicman44mag

Well, now I am going to go there. Crime control failed too, let’s not forget that.

We need better judges and to enforce penalties to the full extent of the law with no time off for good behavior. Enforce the death penalty and make more laws that require it. This racist should be hung by the neck until dead.

The Border should be a Free Fire Zone. Everywhere except at designated entry points. With a cash bounty on Criminal Illegal Aliens. Visitors come to the front door and ask to come in. Criminals sneak around the fence and break in the backdoor.

My sentiments exactly. This is an invasion and our government is supposed to protect us and if they don’t, from what I understand but I could be wrong, we have the right and the responsibility to do it ourselves however when Americans have joined together to stop the criminals from entering the government didn’t like the fact that they had guns. The founding fathers never anticipated that any elected officials would intentionally work against the interests of the nation and We the People.

Chris Mallory

Yes they did. The Anti Federalists knew exactly how elected officials would behave and were right. We should have stayed under The Articles of Confederation. It took a coup by the Federalists, mass immigration starting in the 1830’s, and the election of the tyrant Lincoln to give us the mess we have today.

Wild Bill

The founders did anticipate some graft by elected officials, but not to the kind and extent of todays clever politicians.

That is because the founding fathers did not take their freedom for granted. Anything that combats the left is the right thing to do in my books. If it’s so wrong, it has to be right because that is the only thing they understand.
I would do everything I could to stop the invasion myself if I were governor but for those that made it across, I would ship them to Martha’s Vinyard, Hollywood and other places that the rich bureaucrats live since I can’t fly them back to their home country with parachutes and drop them back off where they came from.

The Biden Administration handlers are cleverly transporting illegal aliens to every state, so that those states’ welfare systems would have to support the illegal aliens financially. In effect, the Biden Administration handlers are spending each state’s money.
Fill every bus with gathered up illegals and transport them to Washington, DC because Washington, DC is not a state.

Because of the “equal protection clause” of the 14th amendment. State welfare programs were designed to protect people that had fallen on hard times … grandma, young mothers etc., illegal aliens are persons and get equal protection because they are persons.
If we would change the word persons to citizens, in the Fourteenth Amendment, then we could do as you suggest.

“No State shall Compact with another State or foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded or in imminent Danger.” ~Art I §10

But it’s Abbott’s typical election Kabuki: The busing to DC is voluntary, by invitation. Every illegal going wants a free ride to DC.

Happily, yes.

The writers of the Constitution were specifically worried about the armies of France, England, and Spain, but realized invasion could be by anyone’s armies. The original intent was invasion by European powers.
Just because the modern popular press calls the mess at at the border an invasion does not mean that it an invasion within the original meaning of the founders.
It is no more an invasion than the patriots of Jan 6 are and insurrection.

Do you speak for the drafters? I don’t think so.

Wild Bill

Of course I do not speak for the drafters, they are dead. There is, however, a lot of documentation that provides context and intent, if one is willing to read an actual book.

Russn8r

If you had evidence the founders wouldn’t have seen millions of foreigners a year invading the USA as an invasion, threatening our republican form of gvt, an imminent danger that will not admit of delay, justifying invocation of Art I §10, you’d provide it.

Your snarky smokescreen is transparent.

Wild Bill

The Treaty of Paris gave all British land claims south of Canada and north of Florida and from the east coast out to the Mississippi to the United States. The government under the Articles of Confederation and a little later the Constitution intended to sell that land at one dollar per acre to pay of the war debt from the revolution. About 160,000,000 acres. But there were not enough Americans, so a flood of immigrants was welcomed. The invasion that the drafters were about was the Armies of Britton, France, and Spain. And they were right as evidenced by the… Read more »

So, you’re still long on opinion, short on authorities to prove the framers would not have seen an invasion as an invasion. No quotes from any o’ them books you “actually” read?

“a flood of immigrants was welcomed.” Legal immigrants, in legal numbers, under legal criteria, not a flood of invaders.

Wild Bill

There was no complicated Immigration Act at that time.

Really? I will be surprised if a republican wins the presidency. I expect that the number of republicans will increase in the house and senate on purpose so when the presidential election comes, they can say if we were able to control the vote to make sure that a demonratt won the presidency don’t you think in 2022 more demonratts would have won seats than republicans in the house and senate? You are a conspiracy theorist now go away, our judges have determined that the amount of cheating that took place was so small that it would not affect the… Read more »

It has been a invasion for the last 5 decades costing taxpayers over $200 Billion for border security. By the same politicians wanting open borders today. Why the change of law ?

Russn8r

The invasion costs us over $1 Trillion a year in K-12 “education” (indoctrination/grooming) costs alone. $15k/student/yr, $25k including capital cost. Take the typical invader family with at least 4 kids = $60k to $100k/yr.

Wild Bill

In a manner of speaking, but it is not the invasion that the writers of the Constitution meant. See “The Quartet” by J. J. Ellis

Wild Bill

You are absolutely right. I think that there are a different group of people (marxist/socialist) with their hands on the levers of power, just now. The marxist socialists have been slowly and quietly infecting every aspect of our society for a hundred years, and they are trying to destroy the United States. Open borders are just one cut of a thousand.

CourageousLion

WHAT? You have to be brain dead to see that this is not and invasion! WTF else would you call it? I don’t give a rats ass what Biden calls it, they are INVADING to get their tit from the Feds.

Wild Bill

No, your modern definition of invasion is simply not the definition of invasion that the drafters of the Constitution were using.

Arny

Exactly once in DC they spread to other States. Why are the Fools so easily duped into thinking Abbott is doing a good thing ? lol

Wild Bill

If Abbot transported the illegal aliens to any state then that state’s welfare system would have to support the illegals.
By sending the illegal aliens to DC, then the federal government has to support the illegals because Washing ton D.C. is not a state and running that city comes out of the federal budget.

Russn8r

Mass illegal immigration aka invasion is not exclusively assigned to the federales. See Article IV §4 & Article 1 §10.

CourageousLion

It’s a good enough fit.

Wild Bill

If it is good enough for you, then it is good enough for me!!

CourageousLion

No, especially if he had the citizens and sheriffs on his side. And if he actually would start a REAL state militia again.

willyd

It has been proven about the catch and release programs in your blue cities and states, it just doesn’t work except for increasing the murder rates done by catch and release!!!!

Wild Bill

Yes, “Catch and release” is no bueno!!!

willyd

Should be a Convoy, and the crew in DC shouldn’t have the choice of sending them else ware, they should stay in DC and have to deal with them as residence like every city has to when they a put in those cities have to!!!!!

musicman44mag

I love it.

Not sentencing the criminals to prison leaves a lot of tax dollars for the politicians to spend or steal.

musicman44mag

Never thought of it that way. I think you might be on the right track since getting rich is what they are all about and what motivates them.

Tionico

spot on.. but I tend toward reinstating the traditional firing squad for those who used arms in the commission of their mayhem. give them a good long dose of the medicine they dished out. No hood, face the line, hands secured behind back, ten on the line, at least three rounds each. OH, and televise it. Let would be copycats SEE what WILL surely befall them when they go out and do likewise.

musicman44mag

I totally agree and all channels will be required to air it or loose their FCC approved license. Let’s add a warning for children under 10. Over that, they truly understand right from wrong and lets get rid of the minor penalties for minors under 18. If they can drive at 16 then they should know right from wrong and if you argue that then you are saying that 16 year old’s shouldn’t be driving.

musicman44mag

Are you game for if they shot the person three times and one was in the shoulder and the other was in the leg and the third was the kill shot in the heart to shoot them in those places in that order to make them suffer? I was once that way but now no more. I just want them dead. I think hanging is a good idea too. Let them watch the person kick and wiggle around so they know that it will not be a pleasant experience and if their neck doesn’t break, they can choke to death.… Read more »
