Las Vegas Homeowner Shoots & Kills Crazy Acting Intruder in Apparent Self-Defense ~ VIDEO

Las Vegas, NV – A homeowner in the southwest Las Vegas valley acted in self-defense early Thursday morning, shooting and killing a man who was trying to break into their home. The incident occurred around 7:40 a.m. in a neighborhood near West Harmon Avenue and South Torrey Pines Drive.

According to police, the homeowner, who is in their 20s and recently moved into the home, called 911 when the suspect began breaking windows and attempting to enter the property. The intruder, described as a man in his 30s or 40s, was acting erratically and ignored repeated commands to leave. As the suspect moved closer to the front door, the homeowner fired a shot in self-defense.

Police responding to the scene found the man in the driveway with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Lt. Jason Johansson of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) confirmed that surveillance footage from a neighbor’s camera is part of the ongoing investigation. While detectives are still piecing together the details, Johansson indicated that the homeowner’s actions appear to fall under self-defense laws, and no arrest is expected at this time. The case will be reviewed by the Clark County District Attorney’s office to determine whether any charges will be filed.

The incident has left neighbors in the quiet Spring Valley community shocked. One resident, Jennifer Sauberan, expressed concern, saying, “It could have been my house. This neighborhood is always quiet; nothing like this ever happens here.”

Police emphasized their search for understanding the suspect’s motivations and behavior leading up to the incident. Johansson noted that there appeared to be no connection between the homeowner and the intruder.

As Las Vegas continues to grow, incidents like this serve as reminders of the importance of self-defense and home security. For all born and bread Americans, the ability to protect one’s home is a fundamental right, and this incident highlights the critical role of responsible gun ownership in personal safety.

Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section or Crime Stoppers for anonymous tips.

A MAN(?) tried to break into a homeowner’s homes? How do you know “its” gender? What color was the skin? How tall? How heavy? What language was spoken? What clothing was used? What distance was the shot taken? What gun was used? What color was the gun? What was the weight of the gun? How many rounds did the gun have? What caliber? SOOOOO MANY Questions left unanswered for the reader!!!

“The decedent was really a good guy!”
“He was trying to turn his life around when this happened.”

“It could have been my house. This neighborhood is always quiet; nothing like this ever happens here.”

This is a line I tell people all the time about why I carry daily…”nothing like this ever happens here.”

One of the first things someone says every time it first happens there. You can’t predict when and where, that’s why they call it defensive carry.

An editor in chief wrote”born and bread”? It’s “bred”. You’re fired!

Good Job!……score one for the good guys.

Our hero should get tax free status for life, a new gun and ammunition and the keys to the city from a grateful populace.

Saved tax slaves millions in legal, incarceration and predation costs, saved stupid judges the embarrassment of releasing the A$$HOLE to prey on your family.

Hope the POS has a great time burning in hell
