Rick Santorum’s Anti-Gun History

Rick Santorum Second Amendment Lows
Rick Santorum’s Anti-Gun History

Colorado ––(Ammoland.com)- Rick Santorum is stonewalling gun owners.

He is refusing to tell gun owners in Iowa where he stands on important Second Amendment issues.

Despite repeated attempts for Rick Santorum to return his National Association for Gun Rights Presidential Survey 100% in favor of our gun rights, he has time and time again remained silent.

Please call Rick Santorum right now and demand he return his National Association for Gun Rights Presidential Survey — at once.

  • His Iowa office: 515-421-7224
  • His South Carolina office: 855-206-7425
  • His New Hampshire office: 603-518-5199

Would Rick Santorum repeal the Brady Gun Owner Registration Scheme? Oppose the UN “Small Arms Treaty”? Call for a repeal of the Lautenberg Gun Ban and the Criminal Safezones Act?

My experience shows me that candidates who refuse to return gun rights surveys and answer important Second Amendment questions are almost always hiding something. Hiding anti-gun political views.

The fact is, Rick Santorum does have a long history of supporting gun control.

In the 90s, he voted to support the Lautenberg Gun Ban, which stripped law-abiding gun owners of their Second Amendment rights for life, simply because they spanked their children or did nothing more than grab a spouses wrist.

He voted for a bill in 1999 disguised as an attempt to increase penalties on drug traffickers with guns… but it also included a provision to require federal background checks at gun shows.

And then he voted with gun-controlling Democrats Dianne Feinstein and Frank Lautenberg to mandate locks on handguns in 2005.

But worst of all, Rick Santorum has a storied history of bailing out anti-gun Republicans facing reelection.

Rick Santorum came to anti-gun Arlen Specter’s defense in 2004 when he was down in the polls against pro-gun Republican Pat Toomey. Specter won and continued to push for gun control during his years in the Senate.

He also supported and openly campaigned for anti-gun New Jersey governor, Christine Todd Whitman.

The evidence is clear. Not only is Rick Santorum refusing to reveal where he stands on important Second Amendment issues, he has a long record of supporting anti-gun legislation and politicians.

Please call Rick Santorum and demand he apologize for his past support of gun control.

Gun owners have serious unanswered questions from many of the Republican Presidential candidates. — Santorum, Romney, Gingrich.

Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich have anti-gun records that rival Santorum’s record.

All three have refused to return their National Association for Gun Rights Presidential Surveys.

My experience tells me that they are hiding anti-gun positions.

I just know that almighty GOD will bring his vengeance down on those who decide to take away the rights of the nation that he protects. I know that Jesus will strike down any politician that chooses against his wishes, and wants the protectors of Israel to be weak and unarmed. I know that the word of GOD, the HOLY BIBLE has shown us that if we do not vote for the right candidates, we will see HIS WRATH and another Hurricane Katrina will come and kill the gays and abortion addicts of the United States. HEED THIS WARNING: The… Read more »

And Johns, that's treason. Maybe you should re-read the constitution. Why didn't you get so pissed when Bush buried this country in illegal war, the stupidity of removal of controls on the bankers, and the Pat Tillman fiasco? Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Bush should be in prison. You keep talking crap and so will you.

Hey, I live in Pa., and we got rid of this loser for many more reasons than guns. I'm a Dem with guns and a CC permit. The only thing you have to worry about from P. Obama is the right to buy 100 handguns in Fla and sell them in NY, and Eric Holder. Hez gone anyway. I have much more fear from the current crop of complete losers running for office as Pubtards. Seriously, you people wouldn't really vote for one of these nincompoops would you? And please, please don't tell me any of you are tea baggers?!… Read more »

GOA and NAGR are attacking Newt and Santorum because they are in the tank for Ron Paul. Paul isn't going to be the nominee and despite what Pratt and Brown say, Paul has cast several votes against gun rights. Even Ron Paul admits he isn't going to be president.

Santorum has a very strong record on gun rights despite what these frauds are saying.

The GOA is saying the same thing…..

It is most difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff when the left is in absolute control of the media, printed and electronic, and the money printing presses run 24-7 for the anti-Americans both here and abroad.

My recourse is to prepare for the worst. Most of us have memories of either, Hitler, Stalin, Muscillini (sic), Mao, Ayatolla, Chavez, Castro, et al. The empty suits in the government are same -o-same-

leaving us with the tools in the Constitution. The directions are within it and we are left to use them. WE MUST NOT WIMP OUT !

The NRA website has two examples where Gingrich shows he understands and is pro 2A. One is a interview and the other is a half hour speech he gave to NRA members at the convention in Pittsburg last April. Download the videos and see for yourself.

I hate hit pieces from the left. So I don't appreciate a hit piece from the right using misinformation. The other day he argued that RS supported Arlen Spector. So what? I'd rather have a lib rep than Dem Casey. At least u can coerce him. That's evidence that rs is anti gun? I think not. Today he says that Rick voted for elimination of gun right if u "spank your children or slap the wrist of your wife." Really? A CONVICTION for domestic violence is the same as "spank your children or slap the wrist of your wife"? Now,… Read more »

I heard Rick at a town hall meeting in NH tonight on TV. He stated directly that he was for the 2A and a member of the NRA and that he worked with the NRA on issues. Who's lying here?

The reason they haven't returned your questionaire is because they've never heard of The National Assn of Gun Rights.

It is painfully obvious that NAGR wants Obama to be re-elected

Ron Paul voted twice voted against the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act which saved the American firearms and ammunition industry bankruptcy as a result of lawsuits filed by munipalities seeking to hold the gun industry responsible for the acts of criminals. Ron Paul also refused to sign the congressional amicus brief in the landmark McDonald case which sought to overturn Chicago's handgun ban. Left to Paul, the firearms industry would have been bankrupted by these lawsuits and the Second Amendment would not have been incorporated to the states thru the McDonald case. As far as the "trigger lock"… Read more »
