Olympic Arms to New York State – Take Your Business Elsewhere

Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York.

Olympic Arms

Olympic Arms

Olympia, WA --( Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights.

One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.

Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines.

We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.

Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.

In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York – henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.

If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.

This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.

Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.

I was getting ready to buy a new rifle and made my decision on who I would buy it from based on this announcement. Thank you for standing up to the gun grabbers!

    6. I guess there is little guess work in who’s AR I will be purchasing next. Bold move Brian Schuetz, good for you and you have my support.

    7. Glad to hear this. Olympic Arms is to be commended for their stance on 2A and citizens rights.

Big raspberry to Gov. Cuomo and all the rest of the gun grabbing minions in NY state government.

If I was ever planning on visiting NYC or the state as a tourist, those plans have been put aside forever because of the idiotic restrictions placed on law-abiding citizens by NY state government.

Hopefully other firearms manufacturers will follow Olympic’s example and quit doing any business in NY. Chicago: You’re next!

    8. Good to see someone stand up for what is right, our constitutional rights, and the “good guy”. We will be ordering from your site ASAP. Thank you for your support and we will be supporting you in return. Count on it.

    9. I’ll be making my purchases with you as well. If I could afford stock in the company I’d buy it too. Together we stand. Divided we fall. Let’s stand together!

As a well-satisfied long-time owner of an Olympic Arms AR-15, I am gratified that I made the correct choice in my patronage of this company. I have chambered well over 1,500 rounds in the past few years (at the range), and have never had a component that failed, and this weapon is in ‘like-new’ condition. Open-sight at 100 yards, this weapon was shooting 4-inch groups ‘out of the box’, and only minor adjustments were needed to close it even further.
I fully support this AMERICAN PATRIOTIC MANUFACTURER in their statements to the commisympathetic State (I hate to point out this FACT) of New York.
My personal protection supplier (at the time) suggested this PARTICULAR personal defense weapon brand-name, and made me a fair deal. He earned my repeat business, and Olympic Arms has earned my loyalty!
The high-quality lower with the light, smooth trigger-pull (even and steady, throughout the stroke) puts the others to SHAME!
As far as I can, I shall repost and spread this letter from them.

Well if and when I ever get another job, my first purchase will be an AR-15 from Olympic Arms. You guys rock, see the problem wherein it lies and have taken the stand that all Americans should be taking. God, Guns, and Guts made us free.. We’ll keep all three

    13. Thank you for standing up to these destroyers of freedom. If I didn’t already own one of your fine ARs, I would certainly own one soon. We need more of this in America.

    14. Good on Ya Oly Arms!! You can bet that with demand as it is you won’t be losing any business. We have have a long memory (just aks David Roberti) and this act of nobility will not be forgotten.

Sirs: I also applaud Olympic for their stand with the other precious few companies taking a stand vs the beast. Now it willbe interesting to see if S&W and Ruger, who have both collaborated with the Feds in gun control legislation in the 1990’s will be now shamed into the honorable course of action….. Let the cops throw rocks, until they develop some backbone and quit just following orders for the paycheck….hmmmm doesn’t that make them worse than those “nasty ol’ streetwalkers?”
      thanks, Balespear

    22. Bless You Olympic Arms!
You are about to gain a whole lot of customers as a result of your stand!

    38. If your company is tired of New York. The Great State of Michigan has many incentives to relocate your company in Michigan.

    39. Good job, now if more will join you.

    40. Kudo’s to Olympic Arms. Every gun manufactor in the USA and elsewhere should follow your, principled, lead.

    41. As a former resident of the State of NY I salute you!

    42. Courageous Stand. I’ll go to your web site and see what I can buy. I have cancelled all business trips to New York as a result of their silliness. We need more companies to stand up for our Constitution. Great Job.

    43. I think this is awesome and support you 100%. I think all other firearm dealers should NOT SELL TO NEW YORK!

    44. Olympic is setting an example for the rest of the industry to follow. I look forward to seeing the big players – Smith & Wesson, Glock, Ruger, as well as ammo makers like Speer, Winchester, Remington, and Federal – do the same. Any maker that cuts off NY will make my short list when I’m considering another firearms-related purchase.

    45. Wonder how long it’s going to take Remington and Kimber to pack up and leave the state?

    47. This is the silliest thing I have ever heard of and plays right into the hands of those who believe that gun rights advocates are nuts. My gosh, the very idea of denying arms to those who protect is rediculous! Mr. Schuetz must have been smoking crack to up up with this idea…

    48. Too bad you can’t order from their site. Hey OlyArms you should sell a T-Shirt with all proceeds going to support the 2nd Amendment and sell it on your site. You would sell millions. I’d buy my share and then some!

    49. I think I just decided whose AR-15 I want to buy. Way to go Olympic!

    50. thank you Oly Arms Semper Fi my friends

    51. own and use your products for many years quality stuff good decision on behalf of all people who believe in the 2nd amendment.

    65. I am glad to see that you are still allowed to exercise your First Amendment without some governor telling you how to write. Too bad the 2nd Amendment lost out in NY. I hope the founders of the next great nation on our planet remember to put enough checks and balances in their constitution to prevent the citizens from being robbed of their rights in a step by step erosion under the pretense of protection.

You say Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York.

I have to assume you will include all other states, cities and counties that take positions such as New York did.

If this is your decision, I think it’s a stupid decision in that you are not selling to or supporting the law enforcement organizations in those states, cities or counties that support the 2nd amendment. Perhaps you should run for congress as that seems to be the same mentality our lawmakers are using. I have a son who is a police officer in Massachusetts and both he and his department are supporters of both the NRA and the 2nd amendment. If that is your position, I would not purchase from you either.

I would like your response to my comment please.

    67. You have a new customer in me as well,if we could get everyone to stand up to the government like you, maybe they would leave us alone, they need to focus all their energy and resources on catching the real criminals, not the decent law abiding ones,I will browse your website to see what I can purchase.

    68. Good for you Olympic!
I (unfortunately) live in NY and am totally opposed to this obsessive, stupid, and unconstitutional attack on the 2nd Amendment by the NY (mis)leadership.
We’re trying to get this piece of legislation nullified and to impeach Mr. Cuomo and send a message to State leaders not to infringe on our Rights.
I hope that other firearm companies join you in refusing to do business with NY State.
Keep fighting for our collective Rights and God Bless America!
