Virginia – -(Ammoland.com)- Creative” editing by Katie Couric, who must have graduated from the Joseph Goebbels School of Journalism, has intentionally and significantly changed the response of Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) members in a new video called “Under the Gun” – and I have PROOF.

VCDL APPROACHED TO BE PART OF A “DOCUMENTARY”

I received an email in March of 2015 from Kristin Lazure, a producer for Atlas Films, asking if VCDL would be part of “a documentary about the gun violence prevention movement in America.”

In the email, Kristin said, “Some of the storylines we're exploring include the legislative process on the federal and state level, how the Second Amendment has been interpreted in the wake of the Supreme Court's Heller ruling, and what impact mass shootings like Aurora and Sandy Hook have on gun reform legislation.”

She continued, “In order to fully understand the complexities of this hot button topic and speak to an audience with varied viewpoints, Ms. Couric is very eager to include all perspectives in this discussion.”

As is VCDL’s general policy with the media, we do our best to accommodate their requests, as it gives us a chance to get our message out to the public. It is a policy that has worked well for as long as VCDL has been around, with the exception of four times, and this was to be one of those exceptions.

Katie’s team was set up to film in Washington, DC, and Kristin wanted to know if I could come there for the interview. I said that I would not come to DC, so they rented a conference room in a hotel in Northern Virginia and brought down their crew for what ended up being a two hour interview with Katie on April 13, 2015. (The audio of the raw interview is below).

Later, Dennis O’Connor and I took Katie and her crew to Blue Ridge Arsenal to film Katie learning how to shoot on May 11, 2015. While there, she also interviewed Dennis.

GROUP INTERVIEW

Later, Kristin contacted me about arranging an interview of a group of VCDL members.

The group interview was held in the room where VCDL meetings are held and ended just as VCDL members were coming in for the regularly scheduled Annandale membership meeting on June 18, 2015.

Participating in the group session were Ed Levine, Patricia Webb, Terrell Prude’, Dan Hawes, Leonard Harris, John Wilburn, Rubiner Toor, Barak Ulrich James, and Judy Rudek.

THE “DOCUMENTARY” TURNS OUT TO BE AN “INFOMERCIAL” FOR GUN CONTROL

While the movie claims to be a documentary, it's clear after watching it that it was never intended to be a balanced presentation of the issues.

People from other gun groups were also interviewed, but in the end the video dedicated a mere fifteen minutes or so to the pro-self-defense side (of which VCDL had only about four minutes), while giving an hour and a half to the antis.

CREATIVE EDITING BY KATIE COURIC CHANGES THE VCDL GROUP’S ANSWER TO A KEY QUESTION

Katie apparently wasn’t getting anything from either the group or me that she could use to further her pro-gun-control arguments. In fact my entire two-hour interview was left on the cutting room floor, but some of the group interview made it into the final film.

However, one of the question/answer responses was altered – and therein lies the problem.

Watching the video, you hear Katie ask, “If there are no background checks for gun purchasers, how do you prevent felons or terrorist from walking into, say, a licensed gun dealer and purchasing a gun?” The camera then shows the group members TOTALLY SILENT FOR EIGHT SECONDS. The camera zooms in on one member, who looks down.

The clear implication is that none of the group had an answer for that question and was being evasive and avoiding eye contact.

The truth is, and as you will hear in the audio, below, that the group responded to Katie immediately, with answers to her question! Yet the video shows no one responding. Clearly, when Katie didn't get the answer(s) she wanted, she changed the group’s answers by replacing them with other video of the group sitting around quietly between questions.

Unbelievable. And extremely unprofessional. In essence Katie lied about the VCDL members' answers. If she so cavalierly lied in this instance, what other things did she alter in this movie or any of her previous reporting to advance her own personal agendas?

While I am used to our side being given less time in the press than the antis are given, I’m not used to having our words changed. That is a big journalistic “no no.”

Back in 1993, Dateline faked an accidental explosion of a truck to show that model truck was dangerous if involved in a collision. Dateline couldn’t actually create an explosion by crashing vehicles into the truck, so they ultimately, and shamefully, planted incendiary devices on the truck to force it to blow up.

What Katie did is similar.

Speaking of cheerleading for gun control, at the end of the infomercial the names of eight anti-self-defense groups that participated in the project are prominently listed under the title of “Join Those Already Making a Difference,” with viewers encouraged to contact them for more information. Not one single pro-self-defense group, including VCDL, is listed as a source of information.

The audio of the full group interview is here, skip to the 36 minute and 43 second mark to hear the question on felons and the answers the group provided. There is no silence, but Katie needed something to show gun owners are unreasonable in their opposition to universal background checks, so she provided eight seconds of silence for us:

Feel free to listen to the entire interview. I think the group did a phenomenal job defending our gun rights and that’s why the group doesn’t appear in the infomercial but for a few minutes, with a key part edited to serve a gun-control agenda.

You can watch Katie Curic's gun control infomercial for free at: http://www.epix.com/movie/under-the-gun/

(The Epix web site for the movie says “with a narration from renowned journalist Katie Couric”. Renowned for what? Lying?)

      1. Just remember the reason that Couric (and many other MSM reporters) are fed agendas and “strongly encouraged” (in other words, paid) to either lie or simply promote a “government” (a.k.a. corporation-state) agenda on said agendas that appear as part of their “news,” is that they (both the news organizations and the corporation-states) can have legal immunity for this sort of reprehensible activity under the little-known Smith-Mundt Act. As a result, there are now almost no limitations on domestic propaganda in the United States of America.

This is because The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (section 1078 (a)) amended the US Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 (popularly referred to as the Smith-Mundt Act) and the Foreign Relations Authorization Act of 1987, allowing for materials produced by the State Department and the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) to be released within U.S. borders for the Archivist of the United States.

This actually was a process which politicians had been working toward for quite some time, which is why the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 (https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr5736ih/pdf/BILLS-112hr5736ih.pdf) which was in fact passed so as to direct that “the Secretary and the Broadcasting Board of Governors shall make available to the Archivist of the United States, for domestic distribution, motion pictures, films, videotapes, and other material 12 years after the initial dissemination of the material abroad(…)”

Thus not only is the political agenda of the Obama (or any future administration) allowed to be disseminated abroad, but now it can be imposed upon domestic media channels as well. Again, “shall make available… for domestic distribution (….)”
        And further…
“Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the Department of State or the Broadcasting Board of Governors from engaging in any medium or form of communication, either directly or indirectly, because a United States domestic audience is or may be thereby exposed to program material, or based on a presumption of such exposure.”

So yes, if Couric’s bosses tell her to push the Obama propaganda and the news media organization agrees to go ahead and do it (or any other news media organization does it which likely happens all the time so that they don’t lose their access to the White House), they have a legal basis to continue doing their propaganda under the NDAA, unless and until someone challenges the provisions and gets those provisions of the NDAA overturned in a federal court. Ditto for whatever the next administration is (Trump or Clinton, both of which would also abuse this propaganda provision under the NDAA).

I should also remind anybody still reading this that the NDAA, which is reauthorized every year for defense spending, has in recent years been used as an “add things onto that” which could never be passed on their own, because NDAA is considered a must-pass bill, so the federal government did things like add (to the 2012 NDAA) provisions which allowed for US citizens to be permanently detained without charges, due process, or any form of trial. In Hedges v. Obama those provisions were challenged and the case went through the federal courts with some initial success but then ultimately struck out. The plaintiffs appealed all the way up to the US Supreme Court as many times as they were allowed to on the matter but the US Supreme Court refused to hear the case. For further details look up Hedges v. Obama on wikipedia or google. It is very disturbing to say the least. Notably, Japanese-American representatives of families affected by 1940s-era detention case law still on the books, including persons organized as part of the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality, were amici curiae in the case, arguing against the government. Even so, the US Supreme Court refused to take up the case and re-evaluate these horrible laws which are a stain on America.

This just goes to show that you cannot rely on people in government (the corporation-state) for any real protection of anything, certainly not with respect to your rights. That you must protect yourself as best you can. And with respect to the mainstream media discussed here, while I support the right of the press in the United States as one aspect of our free speech, the larger mainstream media organizations in this country only serve to emphasize and promote the interests of the state, which by and large are to promote a fear-driven narrative and create propaganda that corresponds to the administration and corporations that are in power at the time. If you want real news, or want to help educate yourself and others, talk to your neighbors, go outside, or write your own blog (using WordPress.org or zeronet.io) and broadcast it on diaspora (http://podupti.me/), Twister (http://twister.net.co) or other alternate networks. You might be surprised at the benefit in creating alternatives to the propaganda-laden nonsense of mainstream media media.

    1. Imagine if this were an article about blocking blacks from eating in white restaurants (we don’t need to go too far back to know that this was once a very hot-button topic). Suppose that Ms. Couric was altering the response of people advocating equality among the races to promote fear among the masses and influence public opinion in favor of segregation.

This is not a gun issue, it is a civil rights issue. It is a breach of the public trust issue. As a member of the press Ms. Couric has a responsibility to report both sides of the story without prejudice and allow the viewer to decide. Especially when the piece is presented as a DOCUMENTARY, there is an obligation to remove personal opinion.

Please, PLEASE, share this far and wide. Expose the issue for what it is, a blatant media attempt to sway the public to garner support for giving up our civil rights. I was there. I was a part of this interview. Listen to the audio files included in this article. See just how little was included in the documentary, but especially see how many valid responses were given to the question about the background check. There was no pregnant pause. There were a lot of valid responses, none of which were presented.

    2. What are the legal ramifications of such blatant alteration by the media of a response to a question that they have asked? Surely there has to be something… This is misrepresentation in its grossest form. Had I been one of the persons who immediately answered that question and this had happened to me, I do believe that I would be discussing with legal counsel how I was harmed, both emotionally and actually – in my personal and professional reputation – by this manipulation of my answer.

When the current media cannot find the answer it wants it simply makes it up and must be held accountable for these intolerable actions.

      1. “What are the legal ramifications of such blatant alteration by the media of a response to a question that they have asked?

Sadly, none, depending on which side of the political aisle you occupy. I believe that the very phrase, “journalistic integrity”, is an oxymoron. Today’s so-called “journalists” have – with all too rare exception – neither integrity, nor honor nor morals. Their only compass is the end toward which they work. Any means – I say again ANY MEANS – is acceptable and proper in pursuit of the sacred end.

      2. “What are the legal ramifications of such blatant alteration by the media of a response to a question that they have asked?”

Depending on state law, there’s a tort called “False Light Defamation” which would apply here. However, establishing damages might be difficult in this particular case. Many states recognize “defamation per se,” which recognizes that some statements are defamatory without proof of actual damages (e.g. accusations of job incompetence, having a venereal disease, or commission of a crime); but this seems like a case where the plaintiffs would have to plead and prove that they were harmed by the depiction (say, a reduction in membership or donations following the airing of the interview).

        1. She has all of the required credentials, Female, News (?) person on a Socialist Network, and Demon-Crat party. She can do what ever she wants and say anything she wants whether it is true or not.
In fact if she can produce a false documentary and get away with it, she will be a hero and get mucho cu does from her piers. The only thing, like Hill-o-sh*t, she is missing is the skin color, if they had that then that would make them Queens in the sick minds of Demon-Crats, and liberals, maybe even RINO’s like Ryan and McConnell.

    3. You are free to believe and say anything you want to the liberal, lying, distorting, media so long as it agrees with what they want you to say. There is no longer a situation of “reporting” news and events. The current situation is distorting anything to get the results you want so that you can sell more advertising to the left leaning gun grabbers.
Please remember, the media and government do not want to take away your guns out of some sentiment for possible victims of a shooting by a lunatic, they want your guns so that they can control you and you will have no choice but to succumb to whatever they want you to do.

    4. What do you expect from Katie. She is Hilliarys girl, rumor has it they slept in the white house together. The truth is not necessary in American journalism. Sue I say sue

    5. What is the difference between Kouric out jogging and a midget, mastermind, criminal? Answer…one is a cunning runt.

    6. I applaud your desire to get the truth out, especially to the antis but y’all should have known up front that this would end up being a ‘hit piece’ against gun folks. She has an extensive track record of being anti-gun (and probably snit freedom as well). Several commenters have mentioned law suits, that might be in order. I don’t know if VCDL got legal advice prior to the sessions but probably should have. And a stipulation that retained rights to view the final product for both content and obvious ‘editorial’ bias. Lessons learned………………

      1. We fully intended this to be a “hit piece” in spite of promises to present a “fair and balanced” documentary (listen to her promises on the audio). But she has played into our hands by such a blatant abuse of the public trust. What we need to do now is to share this travesty far and wide, with people who are not necessarily gun owners but who care about civil rights and about integrity of the media. If we can do that, watch Ms. Couric hang herself with her own rope.

But we must be careful to stay on the high road…no name calling. Just facts. Don’t fall into their trap.

      2. Absolutely agreed. You should have gotten legal counsel before the deal was cut and you would have found out that the piece had an agenda. Did you not realize when she was in DC filming and could have gotten the likes of the NRA to join the piece instead of some small state support group that the NRA had already told her “get lost” as you should have as well. being realistic if any gun supportive group thinks for one second that ANYONE is going to do a positive piece on gun support in the current age of politics and media then they are just misguided. Who would watch it? No one watches facts they only watch conflicts. Who sits and watches a community meeting where everyone gets along? NO ONE. Put a meeting together of different races or genders or potential genders and that makes news even for us conservatives. I surely do not want to watch a movie on gun support. I know all the reasons why we should be allowed to support our rights but it is only NEWS worthy if there is conflict
As I said SURELY Chris Cox had already told her no and you fell into the trap.
If you recall Wayne and Chris offered POTUS the ability to debate in the open and the WH turned the offer down because it would have been too difficult to actually produce the piece to both sides legal agreement. the NRA isn’t stupid enough to give away publishing license why did you?
Don’t complain she followed the law no lie was created it is only an implication of silence had she actually re-voiced the individuals and made them say things they didn’t’ say thru some voice altering technology that would have crossed the line but as it is now the VCDL didn’t get its publishing retraction rights nailed down in advance and can’t complain about it now (don’t worry they wouldn’t have given them to you had you asked for them they already tried the NRA long before they tried you guys) Lick your wounds and learn a lesson you can never win against a media outlet unless you own it.
        Dr D

        1. It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. We knew it was a hit piece, but if no one spoke on the side of the freedom-loving civil rights activists (us) the line would have been, “We asked several groups for their side but they were too ashamed to participate.” At least this way we got SOME of our view on the air, and most of it was decent under the circumstances. Now the task is to expose the shameless manipulation on their part. This can be a feather in OUR cap if played right, but we need people to spread the word.

            1. We knew that going in…this isn’t our first rodeo 🙂 That is why we recorded the interviews (all of them).

          1. Well, Pat, we will do our best to pass the word. Keep up the good work, but should a journalist contact you again get a media attorney or just say that you can’t fit it into your schedule. Don’t let the bastards grind you down.

    7. katie has special rights you don’t have, she is allowed to lie and mislead, it is called journalistic privilege. There is not one thing that will happen to her for doing it. She is in the higher echelon, Law does not apply to her, only you lower people. She is of the ruling class. You are sheep, do as you are told. Stop criticizing Katie, she has nice legs and she is above your miserable lot, in life.

    8. Why are you surprised at what Couric did? They edit all interviews to support their agenda. Quit giving interviews to these assholes. All they are going to do is use you.

    9. Lying beeotch!

Remember “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.”

She should be banned from interviewing Second Amendment supporters.

      1. She should be be from Media Period!!!! She don’t Know or DON”T Care how to play nice in the sandbox!
Rule Number One— Don’t Talk to Journalists OR News People.

    10. I watched this so-called documentary and the best thing I can say about it is that the half-truths were clearly outright lies. Anyone who is familiar with gun laws would know that it was a hoax and one-sided. Only the uninformed or ignorant could believe what was said in this show. I believe it was just another black eye for journalism!

      1. You mention the uninformed and ignorant are the only ones who will believe what was said. Well Billy and Obambam were both elected to two terms each, so there must be a whole bunch of those ignorant and uninformed out here.

    11. The set up was at 1 hour 36 min. She asked for silence for a sound check.. Everyone who knows anything about doing a sound recording knows is that you do the sound check at the beginning, not the end of an interview…She did not get the “right” answers to her questions so she basically screwed everyone in the interview and manipulated the tape..

    12. Another comment in this silly show “Did you know there are more gun shops in the U.S. than Starbucks and McDonalds combined?” haha. WHAT?

      1. It is actually true. Based on ATF documents there are more FFL’s (which according to the report would mean each is in some way a gun “shop” be it that most are scamming the system to buy guns at wholesale.) There are more FFLs then Starbucks and McDs in the USA but so what. There are almost as many actual guns as citizens of the USA as well (320M vs 310M guns) and about 1/3 of the USA actually owns or possesses a gun but so what.
The issue is that ANYONE can ANY argument and spin it to their side if they choose to. The NRA is the very best at doing it and thank goodness for them otherwise we would have lost our guns decades ago. had the NRA not done what Curic did back in the BILL Clinton days the gun ban would have been permanent not only a 10 year law that thankfully expired. The problem was the Virginia organization went into a gun fight without a gun
What SHOULD have happened was the lawyer should have sat down FIRST then the interviews and the like could have happened. IF Katie and her lawyers sat down with the gun lawyers and came to an agreement as to content and editing rights and the like then the piece could have atleast been a hit piece with integrity instead of a hit piece that makes our side look really stupid for allowing it to happen on voluntary soil
Doing it this way makes it look like we aren’t prepared to defend our side and we prove it with silence and other inserted and not inserted edits
THAT is why the NRA picks and chooses it interviews and doesn’t do as many as we members think they should. It is all about not being given an opportunity to be part of the structure in advance. If we know we are going into a gun fight we need to bring guns not knives.
        Dr D

        1. Good clarification Dr. D. I hadn’t considered what they really meant was FFL’s. It’s a stretch to go from an FFL to a “gun shop”. As you said MANY FFL holders do not use their licenses for a “gun shop”. Most FFL’s that I’ve used are just a guy in his home.

          Thanks again for the clarification.

        2. Dr. Dave, I don’t mean to quibble, but I would not call it scamming. After all our dear president wants us to have or obtain a FFL if we sell more than one gun from our personal collection per year. I think that if a hundred million gun owners applied for their FFL all at the same time, it would be a fine thing.

          1. Hey Wild Bill, I don’t know the particulars of an FFL. However, it seems like an end-around way for gun registration. What do you think? Is it gun registration in disguise?

            1. When the government comes for our guns, they will have a copy of every ammo purchase of yours that they can get their hands on. They will list that rifle, shotgun or rifle on the warrant. When they serve the warrant, they will also take any other rifle, shotgun, or pistol that they can find. The feds don’t care how many agents, metal detectors, hours, back hoes, crowbars, or bolt cutters, it takes. Nor do they care about what kind of mess they leave behind. If it takes destroying your entire barn board by board to execute the warrant, then they will. Registration? Machs nixt.

            2. My apologies Eric. I did not mean to make with the negative waves. I guess that I am tired. It has been a long day. I think that the pres. wants to slow down selling from our private collections. If we have to go threw the process of getting and FFL and doing an instant check to sell that second (or more) gun, then the pres. figures we won’t sell that second gun.

          2. A fine thing if you believe that one should be using a business license and the HUGE hassle in obtaining one to get personal guns at cost. the gun industry would collapse on its own weight if your suggestion was to occur. FFL’s are for people with legitimate intentions to buy and sell for profit. I see BOATLOADS of guys who jump on the ease at which one can obtain one to undermine the entire industry of legitimate gun shops. If one is to get an FFL they should have the exact opposite thing happen then Obama requires they need to sell a certain amount per year in order to keep their license. This is way different then another AFT license for collectors and antique people who ONLY buy to collect and yet have a special license that allows them to by-pass the paperwork and checks each time they add to or move a collectible or curio/relic type gun. I know 5 guys here in FL that have FFL’s have all but never sold one for profit use their licenses to buy direct from distributors and undermine legitimate dealers who are looking to make a living and make their FFL’s available to all their buddies at cost plus expenses. Although I can’t imagine that this group represents a huge portion of gun sales it surely is not as intended and that is to be “in the gun sales business”
We got a bit off track with this and to attempt to bring it back on topic although I really am thankful that the group accepted the offer to discuss the gun issues we feel are so hot in today’s pervasive DNC society going after it without proper legal support makes the entire gun industry look bad. We look like a Pro-gun group got their asses kicked by this very savvy seasoned broadcast announcer and now are feeling abused and looking at sour grapes when in all reality this outcome was 100% expected and should have been left to allow her to swing by her own noose rather then to suck an organized group into her web of deceit. As I said I am sure that she attempted to get the NRA or GOA initially but once she found that she could retain editorial control they bailed and so she went to second and third tier organizations looking for a pawn to play with. We need to stand in unison with no rogue players other wise we all look like amateurs. We as an industry or group have no one to blame but ourselves and now after the fact trying to complain that the milk got spilled on us makes us look really childish especially with things like expanding her footprint to YouTube and or other social media just feeds her more viewers to see it. NO ONE is going to agree with our position that she abused us they are only going to hear the silence and the edits designed to make her look like she is right and we are wrong. Sure we feel better by creating a stir but we need to be better then her and shut down the expansion of complaints except on places like this that only enthusiasts frequent. Dr D

            1. My comment was somewhat tongue in cheek. Your comment “FFL’s are for people with legitimate intentions to buy and sell for profit.” is not a requirement of the law. And buying low and selling for a profit is what the individual and the gun shop owner, both, do. One is just smaller than the other. The individual sole proprietor could find that he is good at the trade and become a gun shop. Or the gun shop owner could retire and down size.
I see no ethical dilemma about getting around a law that should not exist in the first place. I remember when you could go to any hardware store and buy a firearm and walk out the door with it. That was freedom that generations of Americans will never know. All this FFL stuff negates freedom. The fact that the GCA still exists, is our fault.

      2. Well, if you do Cerakote or are a gunsmith you need to have an FFL. Many of these guys rarely or never actually sell guns, but they are required by federal law to have an FFL.

    13. Seems to me that a good defence for any/all future interviews/ news casts/ events/ conferences and films is to have your own cameras/videos filming and keep a nice copy of what you said/ was said… no problemo, you got a tape too.

Good job! Keep the faith my friends!

    14. Katie “Goebbels” Couric wants to be part of the Hitlery Clinton administration. #GettingTheOldGangBackTogetherAgain

    15. Update: This is now being dubbed “Gungate” by many in the media, including left wing outlets. I guess they hung themselves with their own rope! 😉

In the mean time, Google “Katie Couric Fraud” to keep the stories high up on the ratings.

    16. You pro – gun MORONS are grabbing at straws with this story. None of you are victims or have Family that are victims. You are a Dying breed of your Grandpa’s mentality. The funny thing is you have no arguement when it comes to statistacal figures and when your confronted with these facts you default to an idiotic “one liner” statement. There is only one instance in which guns should be used and that is to shoot pro – gun supporting dummies!

        1. Tex, the worthless little ******** isn’t significant enough for any of our time. And the sissy pussy whip is certainly not going to take on any of us, they all hide behind a woman’s skirt when things get intensive. The one thing I find interesting in his miserable diatribe of bilge is the reference to facts, the gutless bed-wetting sons of bitches are totally lame when facts are on the table because they always show in our favor. They talk about facts but they are utterly clueless. And some parting shots of verifiable truth are, they have substantially less than zero in morals and even less yet in integrity.

          1. George, I agree, he is a worthless little turd. How does he know that “None of you are victims or have Family that are victims”? Furthermore, one doesn’t have to be a victim to know that personal safety is important because sooner or later one might become a victim.

Moreover, his comment “There is only one instance in which guns should be used and that is to shoot pro – gun supporting dummies!” reflects some sort of instability. Just another reason why guns are important for self defense and deterrence.

            1. You are not a worthy candidate for cranial banter.

In closing, I’ll just point out that a worthless vaginal cavity is….well, just a worthless vaginal cavity. Nowwhatayathinkathat?

      1. Are you serious?
        Really?
Have you actually looked at the “Statistics” you decry?
At best, your venom is misplaced.

      2. Just a guess, and only a guess, “B” may end up with similar computer problems as GButt? And the source of it leads to a city in North Dakota named Washurass. Look it up. It doesn’t exist but that’s where the IP address leads. In the time it took to write this post, I have found out that “B” is only a Bot posting only for $ on a device with an outdated Intel processor that………… from this point forward is the processor used to post this. “B” it’s a no-no to threaten the lives of people. I FOUGHT for your right to disagree with anyone, HOWEVER you went too far by threatening a person’s life. Farewell from INSIDE YOUR HARD DRIVE. Josey Wales

          1. Oh my! I’d like to see that. Some one, who is unworthy of naming, has picked the wrong Texan, the wrong state, and the wrong culture to mouth off to. I support your civil right to travel. I encourage you to have meetings in Texas. But can you notify us all in advance because I, for one, would like to be there.

    17. FYI, B-Man, many of those interviews who support your civil rights (including the right to call people names and threaten them with bodily harm when you disagree with them) are survivors of criminal attacks and that is why they carry…many of them are still here because they were legally armed. We ARE the statistics and don’t need one-liners. And please get help for your anger management issues.

      1. Hey Pat, recently the Clinton campaign admitted hiring people to go onto websites and push the liberal agenda, with the stated goal of making conservatives feel isolated and alone. B-man could be one of them, based upon his, ” You are a Dying breed of your Grandpa’s mentality.” language.
Trolls like him get paid by the response. The more you respond, the more he gets paid. Nothing that you ever write, nor facts or statistics that you present will ever change his patter.

        1. Not really worried about changing his mind. But others on here see the response (like you) or the lack thereof and may get something useful from it. 🙂 And that is why I didn’t hit reply to his post but just posted a general reply to the article. Thanks for the input.

          1. Lol,only bunker buying “the World is ending” dummies like you guys believe stupid sh*t like that. Ha,ha,ha I wish I was getting paid for this. Oh, and tex, you should hope to never cross my path. See, I am not a liberal nor am I a demacrat that you ******** *** pro gun **** usually talk about. I am part of a new era of Americans that are going to fight against the destruction of this Great Country that you dummies cause.

        2. Bill, the Clintoons like to use surrogates for their dirty work. The Elizabeth Warren attacks on Trump are evidence of just that. Trump will handle this bull*shit easily and destroy the liberals.

          1. Aah yes, the B-man is back. You guys crack me up with you one-liners (Clintoons, Bwuss), wtf…. LMFAO! Its exactly what I predicted. You have been so manupulated by the extreme capitalists and you are either too dumb or too proud to say otherwise. For the exception of supporting the national retard association, I actually support Trump but I have no loyalty to him, I just agree with a lot of of his remarks, and not to mention that he is the only one that he is the only one that has the balls to tell Bush 9-11 happenned on his watch. I do like Trump! Now who wants to talk facts? And who wants to keep the dumb one-liners going?

    18. The liberal anti Second Amendment people will fabricate and spin anything to suit their agenda. Take a look at the following Washington Post headline:

“Hillary Clinton doesn’t want to repeal the 2nd Amendment. But in 1991, George Will did.”

WP trying to spin ones misguided position.

    19. Need to go get some hot tar and chicken feathers and dress this cesspool parasite in high fashion! She is the ultimate of a cesspool parasite!

    20. Journalists like Couric will NEVER understand the gun rights issue. In their minds any reduction or elimination of guns is a good thing that would promote their utopian vision of a government run peace and love existence of which in a perfect world is great but unfortunately an unattainable fantasy. Gun owners are simply street smart practical, logical, common sense advocates in the real world of where bad people will always exist.

    21. She is just another member of the Pravda West Media with a Democrat Agenda….

She would make Stalin so PROUD !!!!

    22. I would use another word to describe her and it sounds like witch!!! POS is another way to describe her.

    23. Perhaps Katie can find redemption down at MSNBC with comrade Brian. Such brazen dishonesty is precisely the reason conservatives refuse to give another inch to these corrupt leftists. Most of us find this revilement totally unforgivable. All my friends now are opposed to even the tiniest tightening of rules. Fact is conservatives no longer trust leftists. I’m surprised conservatives acknowledge the existence of these charlatan leftists. To Bloomberg, Schumer, Hassan, Inslee, Cuomo, Brown (both Kate and Jerry), Malloy, et al., from now on the answer is hell no. Resolute defiance of any infringement is the new rule. Conservatives not only oppose changes to the gun laws. Millions now refuse to comply with new laws, no matter how slight they seem. From my own perspective, leftists like Crooked Katie is just another corrupt moron like Dan Rather. The world would be a better place if she’d join Lucy Ramirez.

      1. The socialists know that law-abiding firearms owners are just that,law-abiding ! We ain’t easily prone to anger and rage, they know that too. We play by the rules and expect the politicians we elect to respond to and handle our grievances through the political process and by law. The socialists keep pushing and now it’s gone to shove ! Those politicians have thrown us under the bus and continued to give Obama everything he wants. They are the cowards that created Donald Trump ! We won’t be pushed/shoved around no longer !

    24. 4th Generation Warfare Handbook Kindle Edition
by William S. Lind (Author), Gregory A. Thiele (Author), this book tells what they are doing. a very good read .

    25. Why is it that we’re not calling for the lying whore to “step down”? Forced out of the business! Disgraced!
If it were a conservative journalist, the Leftists would be all over the idea of ruining their career.
      Double standard Dummy-crats!!!
We need to fight fire, with fire…

        1. Her network, of course. But, being of the same ilk, they will just blow it off.
Still, for actions to take place, something has to be done or said. The Leftists (really L cubed…Leftist Liberal Loonies) wouldn’t pass up the opportunity.

    26. She has always been a lying POS like other liberals. She would not know a true story if it hit her in the head. She has been dumped by other networks and Yahoo should flush their couric toilet and dump her. Hey Yahoo clean up your act and become an American again-FLUSH THE COURIC TOILET.

    27. Anyone notice geek BUD isn’t posting anymore??? Gee, I wonder why….my “guess” and it’s only a “guess” is that his hard drive and ALL PROGRAMS ARE “PROBABLY” no longer operational. My “guess” is that it all had to be replaced. Perhaps it was just bad “luck” or bad “timing” maybe even an unfortunate series of events conspired to require a whole new system. It’s ashame. Really saddens me as I’m sure it saddens us all!!! Onward and upward. Josey

      1. I did notice. If you ever need to hide out… I mean… vacation… I have a guest house that you are welcome to.

      2. I’m speculating that Gee Dud became SuperMan … I mean Super Dud who might be in co habitation with Superwoman. Just speculating.

      3. Josey, who the f**k are you lying about hacking my computer? My computer is not hacked and I am sure you dont have the ability to hack a f**king piece of wood let alone a hard drive. This is the same responses and lies gun supporting dummies do and is a perfect example of how you guys lie all the time and to have something to fight for in your purpos-less lives.

    28. Just remember the reason that Couric (and many other MSM reporters) are given agendas and are “strongly encouraged” (in other words, paid) to either lie or simply promote a “government” (a.k.a. corporation-state) agenda in such a way that the government agenda appears as part of their “news,” is that they (both the news organizations and the corporation-states) can have legal immunity for this sort of reprehensible activity under the little-known Smith-Mundt Act.

This actually was a process which politicians had been working toward for quite some time, which is why the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 (gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr5736ih/pdf/BILLS-112hr5736ih.pdf) which was in fact passed so as to direct that “the Secretary and the Broadcasting Board of Governors shall make available to the Archivist of the United States, for domestic distribution, motion pictures, films, videotapes, and other material 12 years after the initial dissemination of the material abroad(…)”

Korematsu Center for Law and Equality, were amici curiae in the case, arguing against the government (from the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality, Amicus Counsel made appearance for Amici Karen and Ken Korematsu; Holly, Iris and Laurel Dee Yasui; Sharon Mitsu Yuen; and Marion Setsu Oldenberg, with the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality having filed an amicus brief in support of Plaintiffs Christopher Hedges, Daniel Ellsberg, Jennifer Bolen, Noam Chomsky, Alexa O’Brien, US Day of Rage, Kal Wargalla, and Hon. Brigitta Jondottie M.P.) Even so, the US Supreme Court refused to take up the case (Hedges v. Obama) and re-evaluate these horrible laws which are a stain on America.

If you want real news, or want to help educate yourself and others, talk to your neighbors, go outside, or write your own blog (using WordPress.org or zeronet.io) and broadcast it on diaspora (podupti.me/), Twister (twister.net.co) or other alternate networks. You might be surprised at the benefit in creating alternatives to the propaganda-laden nonsense of mainstream media media.

      Thanks for reading.

          1. Tex, anyone that thinks farmers are unemployed or hicks is either ignorant of what it takes to feed the word or is turning a blind eye to how sophisticated farmers are. Farming requires the equivalent of several college degrees in Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, Gasoline Engine, Diesel Engine, and Machinery Mechanics, Marketing, Transportation and traffic laws, Chemical Herbicide, Insecticide, Biological Germicide Ecology and Environmental Protection and finance. And as you know, Tex, they only have eighteen hours per day to employ that knowledge and those skills. In the next twenty years, those farmers are going to have to figure out how to get twice as much food out of the same number of acres to feed the world’s population.

        1. Why, thanks for asking Janek. Unlike these unemployed farm hicks, I actually work and do somethimg with my life instead of planning how the world is going to end and living life in fear. The answer to you question is, in short, liability usually never falls on just one person or just one single reason. Though people want it to be like the way it is because its soooo much easier to just point fingers and say “Dats the bad guy” Did any of you even see the movie or are you just focussing on the silly part that fox is selling you? Are you even the least bit curious why terrorists are allowed to buy guns? Or why nra is against safe guns? Or the resl reason why the nra is against background checks? Why do you people avoid the facts? Oh, wait thats when you start with your “one liners” like this one, I love this one..”uh, if forks make people fat then maybe they should ban forks.” Making uncomparable dumb comments like that just show your not that educated. To Alex, there is no defamation when it is facts. Everyone here is trained to say that its all lies, but numbers dont lie. I estimate most of you will keep your head in the sand until if something happens close to you (hopefully not) then you may realize that you have been manipulated by the people you trust that they fought to sell guns to everyone so they can keep the bad guys armed allowing them to keep selling to you with fear.

      1. Ya, we go into Sh*tcargo and murder blacks every week just for fun. We could cut the gun deaths by 75% if we took them away from the blacks.

      2. And the Republicans are the ones letting terrorists in? And giving Muslims more rights than they deserve? Sure! Build ANOTHER mosque! You’re a PEACEFUL religion….
Pssshhhttttt….. I’m pretty sure it’s the Dems that are letting anyone and their dog enter this great country all in the name of ‘equal opportunity’. Sure guy, come on in! Oh, I’m SURE you’re not a radical Islamist. And I’ll protect you from all those evil REPUBLICANS that just want to drink beer, shoot their automatic assault weapons and fly their silly flags.

    29. Janek, the B-man just doesn’t get the subtleties of the issue. Like perhaps the fact that people who have fought (or died fighting) Nazis, for example, have, in fact, resulted in the protection of his 1st Amendment speech which B-man is alive to exercise today. B-man is happy to assume that because we are supportive of gun rights (which happen to be a 2nd Amendment Constitutional right in the United States) then that must mean that we have “blood on our hands” for any deaths at all that have occurred as a result of use of guns. Of course, if we look at what is actually killing people in the US today, it’s probably your milkshake and hamburgers, because violence is at the lowest rate it’s been in the history of the US, and I mean ever. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US with around 611,105 deaths each year. So you know, following B-man’s logic, “all you hamburger-supporting manipulated dummies have blood on your hands for all the innocent deaths.” In point of fact, though, hamburgers are just a food. It’s up to us what we do with that food: Eat ourselves to death, or engage in exercises of moderation. It’s no surprise that hoplophobes like B-man take such positions, though. After all, just yesterday, I saw a knife leap up from the table, twirl through the air, and begin to fly towards me. Were it not for my presence of mind, I would have been killed by this deadly knife (as we all know, knives are instruments of death which have spirit beings within them and are not simple tools). Thus it was I stopped this horrifying assault which could have become a neighborhood massacre, simply by repeating this mantra: “There is no spoon. There is no spoon. There is no spoon.” Fortunately the knife dropped out of thin air and plunked down upon the ground, and had I not taken such quick action, I would have had, in B-man’s words, “blood upon my own hands” for what surely would have been many “innocent deaths.”

With that said, please do make sure to go to the range often, and keep in mind the Four Rules of Safety:
All guns are always loaded. Make sure and treat them as such.
Never point the gun at anything you are not willing to destroy. (Treat end of gun like a laser)
Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target (and you have made the decision to shoot).
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

And a couple more, I’l throw in for good measure:
      1) If you have kids, teach them gun safety (use resources such as Project Child Safe of NSSF, and your state’s Fish and Game Department if you and your child are going to hunt together).
      2) Start with liberty in the home. If you don’t have it in the hearth and home, it’s impossible to help others see the benefit of it.

      1. Both of you guys are right about the trolls. They get paid by the response so they throw something in that is more shocking than my pasture fence, then they are off to some other site to repeat the process. They are never going to engage in a thoughtful discourse. That takes time and reflection, which in turn reduces the number of responses and their paychecks. I think that not responding to them but rather about them to someone else deprives them of a “response” or maybe they are on salary!
Sending you all a thoughtful and grateful D-Day.

      2. Notatool, Are you serious with that example of milkshake and hamburgers? Really guy, I dont want to hand out anymore insults but why do you gun supporters make examples that make no sense?? The correct response to your post is your your name “Notatool” a gun is not a tool for anything productive. All of the examples you dummies make are with tools or necessities of Life therefor are not comparable or a fitting example.
A more fitting example would be other things that are created to only kill and destroy, like a grenage for example or maybe a pipebomb. So make examples that are comparable, not “cholestoral kills more people than guns so ban cholestoral” its food and people live and people get old and they die. Its the dying before you get old that I have an issue with.

        1. Dear B-Man,

Indeed, I was being “serious” with the example of milkshake and hamburgers. But as I suspect you suspected, I was also intending some mild and constructive sarcasm (nothing malicious about it to be quite sure) with my previous remark, which presented a fictitious story about knives and other tools being instruments of death.

By the way, the pseudonym I chose for this forum, “NotATool,” was intended to indicate that I am not a tool. For example, not a tool of the establishment, or of the matrix, or of the mainstream media, or of the two-party-dead-bird… you get the idea. And a gun is a tool, of course. Helpful and productive. Apart from taking to the range for practice, it’s useful for putting food on the table, for defense of the home (though one hopes that will never be necessary, and practice of minimization or avoidance of use of force is extremely important – something you learn if you have gone through martial arts training to any level), and finally, as a last defense against tyranny and a guard against invasion. If you don’t believe those last two parts, read up sometime about something called the McMinn County War (otherwise known as the Battle of Athens of 1946), and also read up on the Winter War (Finland, against the Soviet Union, 1939-1940).

As someone who has owned a M28 Finnish Ski Trooper (these were captured from the Russians and basically rebuilt with a double rear sling slot to accommodate special slings for better handling by Finnish ski troops), and as the current owner of an M44 Russian (which I’ve got scoped out for hunting), I can tell you that it is very fine to hear the crack of the rifle in the crisp air and to feel the thing against your shoulder; to practice again and again until your shoulder feels sore, and to know that you are gaining in proficiency and refining your skill (while also helping your family). It is also good to reflect on the history of these weapons and how these simple rifles helped turn the tide against the Russians (who, while they did have a “victory” of sorts, were nonetheless soundly whipped during the Winter War; as a result, Finland retained its sovereignty and enhanced its international reputation).

I must say, when you stated that “It’s the dying before you get old that I have an issue with,” what did you expect would happen when you were born, that you would turn into the curious case of Benjamin Button? If you live in the US, you are very likely to die from Diseases of heart, Malignant neoplasms, or Chronic lower respiratory diseases. I suppose that could happen “before you get old,” as you put it, but it just depends on how you take care of your body. These are the big-time killers in the USA. If you use a car, drive carefully; 130 people at least per year are killed in the USA as a result of running into deer while driving. (A low number, but I don’t know about you.. it seems to me there’s always wildlife near where I’m driving. Caution is warranted.) But as for violence, it’s at an all-time low in the USA, as in an all-time-low in the entire history of the USA, so unless you are stupid (or unless you live in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York — you know, places where there are heavy restrictions on gun ownership and lots and lots of crime), then you’re probably going to be just fine and live to a ripe old dorky age. There are a variety of factors and reasons for that, but some of the best things you can read on the subject to summarize what’s going on are:

          1) The Many Causes of America’s Decline in Crime — by Inimai M. Chettiar (Feb 11, 2015), published online by The Atlantic. (You can just google the title and you’ll find the article.)
Describes how there is really no single cause for the decline in violent crime in America but discusses in detail how several major factors may be responsible.

          2) Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across the United States — by J.R. Lott, Jr., and J.E. Whitley (July 16 2015). (You can google this title and it is readable as a PDF – to read it you need to select the 2015 report, and not the 2014 report.) Replete with useful information and statistics about the growth of concealed carry permits (CCW) issued across the USA and decreases in crime in areas where issuance is more permissive. (This does not analyze open carry, but rather studies the impact of the growth of concealed carry.)

I hope that my dropping(s) of wisdom help you somehow B-man in your quest for knowledge and truth and the American Way. Cheers

          1. Thank you for listing your references. A few weeks ago I finished reading “More guns Less Crime” by John Lott Jr. A very academic data driven book.

          2. Noatool,
            ITS GROUNDHOG DAY!
At least I can say thanks for your half decent response as oppossed to the others here who respond with incoherent and racist remarks. Dude, your example of needing a gun to put food on the table was applicable about 200 Years ago, about when the 2nd ammendment was ADDED to the Constitution. It is not needed Today for putting food on the table. Did you see the documentary? I guess you think its a lie when the documentaey shows how the CDC is not allowed to research anything about gun statistics AND that they are not allowed to digitize their records. I am also wondering if you saw the part were Senater Graham said the he believes that terrorists are entitled to their 2nd ammendment rights also.
Hey, congradulations on Today’s surge in gun sales!

            1. 1) It’s not Groundhog Day. That was on February 2nd.

              2) A gun is still just as needed today as it was 200 years ago (probably even moreso). Self-sufficiency does not solely rely on a gun, however, you should become more sufficient by decreasing your reliance upon the state, and taking care of your family and community, to that end, garden and grow, hunt, and build. It will also be helpful to (as much as you can) avoid using traditional financial institutions; you may wish to explore utilizing alternative currencies (including virtual currencies), barter systems, time banks (which happen to be tax exempt if used properly), local currencies, and various forms of decentralized and distributed exchanges which will become more available and obvious should you explore these systems further. To be self-sufficient you must be a multi-dimensional creature; you have to be proficient with the earth (e.g. understand something about gardening), be willing to build things that you use (whether it’s a chair or a fence or a receiver for a weapon that you use) and understand how to repair the things you own. You should be both low-tech (know how to manage basic tools in the toolbox, which will include your hammer and saw and drill and so forth, and will likely include a gun) and high tech (know your computer, understand how to utilize public-key cryptography to your benefit). You should also be willing to reject the coercion and violence that the state performs as part of its “protection” and understand that if you don’t want this to continue then you have to take a good hard look in the mirror and figure out creative ways to manage and provide your own security for the most part, and encourage others to do the same. If you don’t know what some or all of the above means or are fuzzy about it, start learning.

3). In addition to the previous reference which I listed, which was The Many Causes of America’s Decline in Crime — by Inimai M. Chettiar (Feb 11, 2015), published online by The Atlantic, I also urge you to find and read
Crime Is Down, Sort Of — New stats on U.S. imprisonment rates suggest a complicated future for criminal-justice reform. by Juleyka Lantigua-Williams (Jun 7, 2016)
I doubt you’ll read it, because, B-Man, you seem kind of set in your ways and not inclined to read things that might present facts to you. However, I do hope that you will read the above article.

              4) 240 years ago today on June 12th 1776, while the Virginia State Convention was assembled in Williamsburg, it unanimously adopted George Mason’s declaration of rights. Mason’s 16 section declaration would later inspire the text of the United States’ Declaration of Independence (penned less than a month later by T. Jefferson also from Virginia) and the Bill of Rights (that is, the first ten amendments to the Constitution, penned a few years later by James Madison also from Virginia).

Section 13 of Mason’s declaration stated:
“That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.”

This of course led eventually to the Second Amendment of today.

It should also be noted that both Mason and Jefferson advocated against the formation of standing armies. Jefferson himself stated,
“A standing army has always been used by despots to enforce their rule and to keep their people under subjection. Its existence was therefore considered a great threat to peace and stability in a republic and a danger to the rights of the nation. Since every aspect of government was designed to prevent the rise of tyranny, strict limits and control over the military were considered absolutely necessary. It was essential that the military be subordinate to civilian control.”

People today need more than ever to make greater efforts to place limits upon state and national expenditures which would allow even greater militarization (whether it be militarization of police forces or greater spending upon our armed forces). In order that future generations are not subjugated to brutish establishments bent on endless war, it is up to us to ceaselessly advocate for a reversal in this nation’s current tendency and trajectory of military expenditures. It is also our responsibility to train ourselves individually and collectively for common defense of our families and communities.

              Happy June 12th.

    30. I haven’t read ALL of the comments, but why didn’t anyone in the interview bring up that to stop criminals, is to actually PREVENT them from becoming criminals to begin with?!
PARENTS are responsible for their child’s upbringing! SCHOOLS are responsible in large part in a child’s upbringing….
When parents step up, and HELP their own children, and teach their children to be good, respectable adults, then crime might just slow down a bit!
And man, just for the record, Katie sure is one dumb, blind Bitch, isn’t she? GEEZ!!!!
She got mad when they talked about the mass stabbing in Japan… Like, “that doesn’t compare to guns” and “no one was killed in that incident”. They were making the point that if someone wants to harm someone, THEY WILL!!! With ANY object!

      1. Kaya,I don’t know if you have children or not, but I had a son that I did everything I could to keep him straight and it just never took. He has passed away now and so he is finally at peace with him self. You can only do so much with kids, some of them are just not controllable and are always in trouble. It was a constant fight to raise him. It’s easy to say what one should do, but there’s just so much you can do. It seems that some of them are born for trouble.

        1. Hi Raymond,
Yes, we do have kids. They are still a bit young, not in HS yet.I am SO sorry to hear about your son. And, you’re right. We TRY to do everything we can to raise our kids the way we want, and in your case it didn’t turn out. But, you TRIED! You gave it your all. And that’s saying a lot! Some parents don’t do ANYTHING to be a parent, leader, influence for their kids. Some parents actually push their kids in harms way. I have several family members that basically let their kids raise themselves. And then they wonder what went wrong and try to act like they were there for their kids and did EVERYTHING they could! PSSHHTTT!!!! That drives me freaking crazy! One has already been in jail at 19 yrs old (and is living with us now so he can actually have a chance to get a job, pay his fines and grow the [email protected] up), one is in his 30’s and has been in and out since his teens, and the other just had her 21st birthday, has a son that she’s not raising, is in jail and has been given 5 years to live if she doesn’t start her hepatitis meds.
So, Raymond, again, I’m TRULY sorry for your loss. I understand that some may be doomed no matter what, but some just need a mentor and a good swift kick in the ass.

    31. I’m so tired of the lying media and their agenda to help and carry this administration, we need to get control back and make these people pay for what they have done to conservatives like myself.

      1. Paul, I always believed that we need a Voter ID law. So we can stop the dead and illegals from voting, and win our Country back. A Voter ID law is “common sense.”

    34. Katie curic should hide her face in shame and never be given even an ounce of credibility. She has made trips to Epstein’s kiddie sex island and I find that to be disgusting. It is not surprising that someone as disgusting as her would try to destroy our Second Amendment Rights because she is going to try to eliminate everything which is good for us and the country because that is obviously what she is about. Hopefully I will never seen her ugly picture or a printed word of what she has to say ever again.

    35. Why does katie couric fly to Epstein kiddie sex island? She is thoroughly disgusting and I hop I never see her picture or printed words again.

      1. Lorraine where did you get the intel on Couric flying to Epstein kiddie sex island? Who is Epstein? Where is this alleged island located, it can’t be in the U.S.?

    36. Again you pro-gun Morons have Blood on your hands. Because of your support of the brain washing national retard association and their success in putting a gun in the hands of the Orlando shooter. Its so funny how durring the couple of weeks of my comments here, the worse mass shooting in U.S. History occurred. Thanks to you guys!
Ps: I’m sure you guys dont really care because it was a gay club.

    37. OK, although I tend to agree with the cunning runt remark, the FIRST Amendment has to do with the press. The SECOND Amendment has to do with guns. This says volumes about what the framers thought was more important.

Can’t pick & choose which right to support.

Everyone knows of someone who did not exercise the second amendment responsibly; obviously there are those that don’t exercise the First Amendment responsibly either… probably like most of them.
