California Firearm-Related Bills in Senate Committees Need Your Action

Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- Two firearm-related bills have been scheduled for hearings next week.

On Monday, June 22, pro-gun Assembly Bill 950 is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Committee on Appropriation in State Capitol room 4203 at 10:00 am. Contact information for the Senate Committee on Appropriations can be found here.

AB 950 would allow a person who is subject to a gun “violence” restraining order to transfer his or her firearms to a licensed firearms dealer.

On Tuesday, June 23, anti-hunting Assembly Bill 96 is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water in State Capitol room 112 at 9:30 am. Contact information for the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water can be found here.

AB 96 would prohibit a person from purchasing, selling, offering for sale, possessing with intent to sell, or importing with intent to sell ivory or rhinoceros horn, except as specified, and would make this prohibition enforceable by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Don’t forget to forward this alert to your family, friends, fellow gun owners and sportsmen and urge them to call the members of the respective Senate Committees to SUPPORT AB 950 and OPPOSE AB 96.
