Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- Another liberal anti-gun scam richly demonstrates itself to be a failure. This time, they even officially admit it!
After fifteen years of Maryland’s highly-touted “gun fingerprint” cozenage, proposed and pushed through by liberal Democrats..,
…even its former supporters have sheepishly admitted it was, and is, a complete failure, and a fraud from the beginning.
They are allowing it to quietly die. The liberal media has, of course, developed amnesia!
This law imposed a painful and expensive burden on gun manufacturers, retailers, and legal owners, while costing already beleaguered taxpayers millions, and creating an entirely new, massive state bureaucracy. The law required that spent casings from every handgun sold in the state be required to be cataloged, photographed, and stored in a “ballistic database.”
Over the next fifteen years, not a single crime was ever solved using this system. Not one!
All those carefully preserved, photographed, and cataloged cartridge cases were never anything but so much scrap metal.
From the beginning, naive liberals were told by people who actually knew something about the subject that “ballistic fingerprints” supposedly extracted from all those preserved cases was utterly worthless.
Of course, they didn’t listen. They never do, as their gun-hating agenda blinds them to all logic!
The system broke down, almost from the beginning. It was unusable. Liberals, of course, continued to defend it long after they knew, and privately admitted, it was a fraud, and has never been anything else.
Even now, liberals arrogantly insist that their “good intentions” justify all the inconvenience, wasted taxpayer dollars, and bloated bureaucracy inflicted on innocent Americans by this inexcusable abuse of power.
As always, liberals want all the power, all the money, all the ability to do violence to individual rights and liberties, but none of the accountability.
This law, like most restrictive gun laws, was never about crime. It was about punishing and harassing legal gun-owners, because they don’t support liberal politicians and agendas.
Even now, HRC, refers to us as her “enemies,” not the loyal opposition.
