Jackson, TN-(Ammoland.com)- Kinetic Concealment, known as the originators of the neoprene-backed hybrid holster is proud to announce their recent acquisition of a US Utility Patent for their multi-layered hybrid holster.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Kinetic Concealment Inc. U.S. Patent No. 9,568,275. The patent is an accomplishment that helps solidify the Kinetic Concealment brand as a true innovator in the firearms industry.

The idea of the neoprene-backed leather hybrid holster came about as a way to make conceal carry more comfortable and for the user to be more open to utilizing an IWB holster without the use of an undershirt. The neoprene also acts as a moisture barrier, aiding in the fight against rust on a firearm that is holster carried for long periods of time.

About Kinetic Concealment:

The Kinetic Concealment patent pending system utilizes a special nylon-backed neoprene substrate. The neoprene is bonded to the body side of the leather, then the edges are precisely stitched using standard leather stitching techniques. This added feature gives complete comfort even when the holster is being worn without an undershirt directly on the skin. If the holster is worn with an undershirt, the neoprene slides smoothly along any common undershirt fabric such as cotton or polyester allowing for a better range of motion as the body moves.

From the Kinetic Concealment website, “We warranty the neoprene on our holsters for one calendar year from purchase date.” 3-Feb-2017
From the Alien Gear website, “If any part of your Alien Gear Holster ever breaks for any reason, we’ll repair or replace it for free. We’ve got you covered. Forever.” 3-Feb-2017

Not sure who stole the idea from whom, but Alien Gear wins, no question about it.
