WENATCHEE, Wash. -(Ammoland.com)- Mack’s Lure, Inc., manufacturer of the famous Wedding Ring and Smile Blade, today announced Ernie Marlan as a new sales representative who will be responsible for the areas of Northern California, Western Nevada, and Hawaii.
Due to the vast angling opportunities in these areas, Ernie will help Mack’s Lure’s existing area representative, Vance Staplin.
The acquisition of Shasta Tackle Company — makers of custom trout, kokanee and salmon lures, including the popular Cripplure, Hum Dinger, Sling Blade and more — has increased demand in these regions overall.
“With the California reservoirs full again, and having recently acquired Shasta Tackle, the timing for adding another quality representative was now,” said Bob Schmidt, owner and president of Mack’s Lure, Inc. “This is two leaders in the kokanee market combining their strengths and ideas to offer anglers even more exciting products, as well as allowing Mack’s Lure to grow more rapidly and get in touch with an even larger base of anglers, thus the need for more representatives.”

Marlan, raised in California, has been an avid angler for most of his life. He spends most of his free time fishing for a variety of fish and is intricately involved with The Fish Sniffer Magazine.
Well known by most bait and tackle shops in and around the state of California, Marlan will assist with placing products that sell into stores and will be involved in seminar speaking, as well.
Over the years, Marlan has developed and broadened his reputation in the industry, having been a manufacturer’s representative in the past.
With the amount of fishing industry knowledge Marlan holds, combined with a strong relationship, hard work and integrity, he is a great fit and a true extension to the Mack’s Lure, Inc. team.
