And still no slide release… why? That and that alone is why I won’t waste money on the M&P series.

It does have a slide release.

What the H**L took S&W so long? Time to “pirate” some marketing and product development people from Glock and Sig.

No 45 ACP? 9mm and 40 S&W are guns for the ladies. Where is the man’s version? I can’t believe they don’t have this in 380 already for the children.

S&W, like most manufacturers, tends to release new guns in the most popular and relevant calibers first.

Real men shoot anything they damn well please. A.45, nor any other caliber, will make a man out of a “man” wannabe.

I don’t think a four inch barrel is compact, I think it is a standard full size.
Just my two cents worth.

With the standard size having a 4″ barrel and the previous line of Compacts for the M&P series having a 3.5 inch barrel, it really is strange that the M&P2.0 Compact line has the 4″ barrel.

Length? Height? Width?

Length is shown as 7.3″ in the Brownell’s page. Weight is listed as 23.68oz. Still looking for height and width; although I’d assume width is the same as the standard M&P2.0.
