Moms Demand Action, the infection keeps spreading.

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- What a year 2017 was, huh? Trump was finally inaugurated, and gun owners were set free! No more hassles and threats to our liberty, including our cherished right to bear arms. Whew, we can take a break for the next four years after eight years of gun-hating Marxist, Barry Obama, as many of us still believe. Finally, some much-deserved downtime, right? Uh huh…

I wish I could tell you we can finally relax for the next four years, but I would be lying and this past year proved we gun owners do so at our own risk.

No doubt there were some significant victories in 2017 for gun owners, in fact in a recently published piece over at Breitbart News I wrote about my top five stories of 2017 and four of the five were huge victories for gun owners. They included Trump’s inauguration, the Wrenn v. D.C. case, the passage of National Reciprocity (now in the hands of Mitch McConnell and the Senate) out of the House, and of course the nomination and subsequent confirmation of SCOTUS Justice Neil Gorsuch. There were many more victories both local and national but these, to me, stand out as a few of the biggest.

So why can’t we lay low, chill out a little bit and take some much deserved time off?

This email from Everytown for Gun Safety explains, in no uncertain terms, why we are unable to do so as we head into 2018 and the midterm elections:

For months before November’s election, volunteers from Moms Demand Action — wearing their bright red tees — knocked on doors, made calls, tweeted, texted, and got out the vote to make sure gun sense champions won big in Virginia. Thanks to your work and support, Virginia elected advocates for common sense gun laws up and down the ballot.

And it wasn’t just Virginia — across the country gun sense champions won statewide and local elections. Everytown, Moms Demand Action, and voters everywhere showed that America won’t stand for the gun lobby’s attempt to put our communities in danger with their extreme “guns everywhere” agenda.

Something else big happened in Virginia. Virginians said the top two reasons they voted for me were my stances on health care and gun laws. That’s right: Virginians came out to vote for stronger gun laws. And Everytown and Moms Demand Action are going to make sure people show up for gun sense champions across the country in 2018. The fact remains that the other side has us hugely outspent and I mean HUGLEY outspent. Capitalize that sentence, if you wish. It cannot be overstated. Here’s a guy, Michael Bloomberg with a net worth estimated at $47 billion. (You know you’re loaded when your net worth is estimated). Let’s translate that amount into real numbers. Michael Bloomberg could conceivably spend $3,219,178.08 every single day, 365 days a year, for the next 40 years if he chose before expiring his $47 billion. Of course, that assumes he made no more money over that 47 year period. Wrap your head around that, and I think you get the point.

I’m the first one to preach that the U.S. Constitution isn’t for sale and Bloomberg’s billions can’t buy our freedoms. I believe that and it’s been proven many times with Bloomberg defeats around the nation but make no mistake, his billions buy a $% of airtime anywhere he chooses, and for however long he wishes to run his campaign of disinformation and lies. Ask Washington State and Nevada, for example, if that takes a toll.

In addition to their Bloomberg funded deep pockets, the enemies of freedom are also now running a sort of covert operation to get phonies elected to positions of all levels of government from local town councils to State Houses and the Halls of Congress. And that money? It buys an election. Ask any resident of a blue state who will gladly tell you those elections have consequences.

Yes, Trump is stacking the federal courts with gun rights friendly judges, and the impact of that is generational but so are the tactics being implemented by the gun-grabbers. Between the concerted effort to usurp the 2016 presidential election by removing a duly elected president from office and the long-term goals of this man-made cancer infecting the constitutional rights of hundreds of millions of Americans in the form of phony “gun-safety” activists, you rest your weary head at your peril.

Money buys advertising which is very expensive that is why so many incumbent office holders get re -elected to office they have their hands on the money sources where most new candidates don’t.
The anti gunners have the resources to plaster ads on TV and Radio plus buy all the print media they want.
Follow the money is true in most political events.

our fore fathers need to have a hidden piece.
When the British searched homes and properties ,
looking for guns . The people had them buried in the
ground the British were standing on. When the time was
right they were retrieved and used to defend their owners .

@RJL…Regarding the millions who were first disarmed and then rounded up and murdered, you are quite correct, except the list could go on and the figures could be twice what you say. I have seen lists that total between 100 and 150 million victims of the gun grabbers. No one really knows, maybe because most folks can’t count that high. And the grabbers always use the same old heart string pulling reasons to enact disarming laws. It’s always very emotional, like the murder of schoolchildren by some deranged madman. The problem with comments saying the Demanding Mommies just turn out more voters and the problem is a lack of gun voters were demonstrated here in Florida the last few years. Good advances in gun rights in Florida were killed by NRA A-Rated politicians that won their elections because pro-gun voters turned out. The good guys did the right things, we won the elections and the consequences of the election was that the politicians stabbed us in the back. APATHY! Is the only way to express how stupid most hunters and gun owners are. You are not alone in Washington state, here in the People’s Republic of New Jersey, there are over 1,000,000 licensed hunters and 1.5 million firearms ID cards, so let’s just say there are at least that many (1.5m) gun enthusiast in the Garden State; but only one million in the entire state got up off their lazy a$$es to vote AGAINST the new communist governor Phil Murphy, and soon 20 new gun laws, that our soon former gov, Christie vetoed, will be passed making more… Read more »

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times; apathy is going to be the gun owners downfall. It happened here in WA state when less than 60% voter turnout gave control of state legislature to the Dems, which only gave them free reign to start introducing anti gun laws with a Dem governor !ores than happy to sign them. Mark, elections are not ‘bought’ by Bloomberg or the NRA. Elections are held and the side that produces the most registered voters to cast a ballot in their favor wins the election. Money does not cast a ballot and never will, period, end of story. Elections do have consequences which is the main reason pro-gunners need to get out the vote and make sure they introduce others to the shooting sports.

If spending lots of money were not a factor, they why does Soros, Bloomberg, the Clintons and all the other politicians spend so much money on elections? Money buys logistics, personal, dead person and illegal alien registration, pre filled out ballots, computer programing that changes a vote, and has even been used to pay people to vote a certain way, in spite of statutes against that sort of thing.
