GUNNISON, Utah – -(AmmoLand.com)- A new addition to their Modern Precision Rifle offerings, Christensen Arms has announced a steel barreled model option starting at $1,795. The American-made chassis rifle incorporates decades of carbon fiber and custom firearms experience alongside a new #4 contour stainless steel barrel with a Cerakote® finish and matching muzzle brake.

The folding chassis features a carbon fiber comb, free-floating carbon fiber handguard, flat match-grade trigger, standard AR-style grip, and a 20 MOA rail. The MAGNELOCK™ system is designed for ease of use, with a smooth release button and a powerful magnet instead of a cumbersome clasp. Heavier than the standard carbon fiber offerings, the steel barreled Modern Precision Rifle weighs in between 8.4 and 9.6 pounds depending on the chambering and barrel length.

The Modern Precision Rifle with a steel barrel is available in both Black and Desert Brown anodized finishes chambered in 223 Remington, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 308 Winchester, 300 Winchester Magnum, 300 PRC, and 338 Lapua Magnum. All models are available to order through any Christensen Arms dealer. The Modern Precision Rifle is designed to impress, and backed by the Christensen Arms Sub-MOA Guarantee.

They are always coming up with something new, and I like how their rifles often have a skeletonized look almost. Either way, this is an impressive looking rifle.
