Virginia: Attorney General Mark Herring Calls For Ammunition Restrictions

https://www.wfxrtv.com/news/herring-looking-to-close-ammo-sale-loophole/

Virginia – -(AmmoLand.com)- What is it about politicians who admit to wearing blackface? All three of them (Governor Ralph Northam, Attorney General Mark Herring, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau) are trying to divert attention from their past by pushing gun control.

I guess they are representative of the kind of people that the gun-control movement attracts.

RICHMOND, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia’s Attorney General Mark Herring is joining 21 other Attorneys General asking Congress to close a loophole on sales of ammunition.

They are pushing for Congress to pass “Jamie’s Law,” named after one of the students killed at last year’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School in Parkland, Florida.

It would require current background check requirements for firearm sales to also apply to sales of ammunition.

Under the new law, individuals buying ammo would either have to be licensed to own a firearm or undergo a background check.

Meanwhile, democrat Ralph Northam, Virginia Governor, is a PROVEN racist and infanticide supporter, BUT is still governor. Democrat Justin Fairfax, a PROVEN communist and sexual predator, is Virginia Lt. Governor and is STILL in office.

NO crime can make any democrat vote against another democrat. Democrats DEMAND a communist America. At the 2016 DNC convention, there were NO American flags on stage. BUT, there was a communist Chinese flag on stage.
“You will know your enemies by their actions”.

When the time comes, lists of the traitors will circulate and they will receive justice. They have certainly broadcast the fact that they stand against America and against freedom!

Truth

When is that time? Haven’t we waited long enough while the lawyer/politicians continue driving a stake into the heart of this country? How much more time do we need before the SHTF? Who makes the first move? Haven’t “they” made the first move(s)? Not to sound corny but haven’t they “drawn-first-blood” with the deaths of so many patriots over the last few decades; 1 most recently in Maryland with the ERPO law? “That law is being used by law enforcement to get a judge to take away guns from someone who is deemed to be a threat to himself or… Read more »

Will Flatt

“Who makes the first move?” That’s the rub, isn’t it. Nobody wants to be the guy who jumps first, then he either gets killed or ends up in prison for life without parole because nobody who calls themselves ‘patriots’ would back his move and join in.

What will probably have to happen would be a steady stream of people killed by government red-flag death squads and a series of Waco-style massacres of entire families before enough lazy bastards realize they have nothing left to lose and come together to fight back. Even then, I have doubts.

Wild Bill

@WF, a move like that takes thorough planning, co-ordination and logistics. No target list, no secure, coms, no logistics. Whomever jumps first will get creamed.
A Trump second term will make libtard heads explode, and maybe we can get the democrat national socialists to jump, first.

Will Flatt

@WB, A Trump 2nd term would be good. Getting the socialists to make the 1st move would free us up considerably. However I know a lot of patriots who have all the tick boxes checked on operational necessities as you mentioned.

Tionico

At Lexington it was a few overstressed REgulars under Jesse Adair who, without orders, fired a ragged volley at the Patriots, felling eight of them. The orders to the Patriots was “don’t fire unless fired upon. We don’t want to start a war, but if they mean to have one, let it begin here”. After Adail issued his command to the men of Lexington “lay down your arms and disperse, ye damned rebels”, John Parker, Lexington’s Militia Captain, issued a modified version: “disperse”. Not well he left out part of Adair’s command, didn’t he? It was as most of them… Read more »

The “lobsterbacks” fired first at Ruby Ridge, shooting in the back and murdering a boy, then shooting an unarmed mother in the head while she was holding a baby; They fired first when they massacred an obscure religious community, and sniped & killed anyone who tried to come or go, ultimately gassing and incinerating them all in a manner even more gruesome than what Hitler did to the Jews; They fired first when they staged a false flag terrorist attack on one of their own hardened buildings, murdering 168 innocent souls including a daycare center full of very small children… Read more »

One thing about going, “full retard.” It makes sorting people out much easier. Thanks for making it easier.

Will Flatt

Yes, thanks for sorting yourself out for us, retard.

RoyD

Do you have a mouse in your pocket?

Will Flatt

GFY, commietard. I keep a recreational McNuke in my pocket! Now go finish munching on your tide pod & GTFO.

RoyD

Just as I thought, another flyweight posing. Well, if that’s the best you can do, then that’s the best you can do. Be sure to stick around in case I want to play with you again.

Will Flatt

Stick around and I’ll break your head off and shove it up your @ss for ya, f#cking commie POS!

RoyD

I don’t think you realize what you are doing but that’s ok. You keep on being you.

Wild Bill

@Truth, When “they” rise up in numbers that LE can not deal with, and your trained, supplied, and connected organization is invited to the party. Remember “High Noon”? That is when, High Noon.

Knute

IMO, it will likely start when yet another crooked LEO, like Gerald Goines, attempts to take out yet more citizens. Someday, that strategy (preying upon the sheeple) is going to inevitably end up with the victims shooting back… and being more successful at it than Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas were. If such lawless behavior continues, as it will if not severely punished (which I predict it won’t be), someday, somewhere, while the homeowner is firing back at police attempting to murder them, the surrounding neighbors will just join in. At that point, taking fire from all sides, their MRAPs… Read more »

Infringements on the purchase and possession of ammo is no different than an infringement on gun ownership and 2A itself! IF a state outlaws the unrestricted acquisition and possession of ammo, IT IS THE DUTY OF ALL IN THAT STATE TO SMUGGLE AMMO IN AND BUY OR SELL IT IN AN UNDOCUMENTED MANNER! If federal politicians try to pull such a stunt, that would be a dagger into the heart of the 2nd Amendment itself and would require all who love liberty to begin a 2nd American Revolution!! VA politicians forget their state’s motto: SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS – THUS ALWAYS… Read more »

Getting this passed on ammunition would have INTENDED consequences. All ammunition would have to be locked up by retail outlets and there would have to be strict accountability for said retail ammo. How much do you think this would add to the price of ammo if they even decided to sell it? Obviously there could not be any “mail order” sales. And what about the possession of ammunition? You would be required to account for each round you have in your possession and how you obtained it. It would be much like England where finding an expended .22 LR casing… Read more »

IF they did this at the federal level, freedom loving Americans would of necessity be forced to take up arms against the government and deal with the tyrants ‘with extreme prejudice’, along with any of their lackeys who don’t get the memo on 1776.

Whatzit

The only way for the liberals to achieve the degree of control that they are seeking is to lock each and every human being in a separate isolated cell with arms and legs chained to the floor and duct tape over mouths. Only then could they ensure that no one could commit an offense against the government. Think about it – it all boils down to degrees of control. How thorough do you want to be? How much control?

CaptainKerosene

The 1968 GCA required record keeping on all ammo sales. That was dropped before the 1986 FOPA. Ammo records on billions of rounds of .22 rimfire and millions of centerfire did nothing except fill up a lot of paper and waste a lot of ink.
It seems that the entire idea of gun control is about destruction of the Second Amendment and thus the Bill of Rights.
The goal of these people is a socialist take-over and they must disarm the citizens who oppose tyranny. THEY want crime because it is their wedge,

Wild Bill

These states are in full rebellion, usurping the powers and authorities reserved only to Congress; negating the Constitutionally enshrined rights of the people; and impacting the 10th Amendment police powers of the other states.
Thank God that DJT is successfully populating the federal judiciary with Constitution following judges.

Wild Bill

@wjd, I’d send her a case of cigarettes, if I thought that she would smoke them. Wouldn’t that be terrific if DJT would get to appoint another S. Ct. justice. He would get a chance to redeem himself to Second Amendment supporters, and libtard heads would explode all over the country!

tomcat

Virginia has enough problems with the governor and vice governor and now the AG wants to get his name in the ring. Unfortunately, the democrat socialists that work in DC live in Virginia and they vote for this type of idiots. Enough is enough, leftist retards need to form their own state and live happily ever after but leave us the hell alone.

theonlything

My first thought… whenever there is police involvement, red flag confiscation, or other in which a firearm threat is evident or simply present, the reports always include, ‘thousands of rounds of ammo’. Reported to raise fear and show ignorance that ‘thousands of rounds of ammo’ is in itself, a marker for ‘mass killing’. Therefore, all this ‘waste of time’ these elected officials are pursuing, doesn’t solve anything (as we already know). If these laws are enacted, instead of buying 20 or 50 round boxes (on sale), I’d be more likely to buy in bulk (save on background costs adding to… Read more »

Insignificance and meaninglessness on display.

Laddyboy

AHHH! The RAMBLINGS of a COMMUNIST.

Wild Bill

@Laddyboy, so you are saying that Virginia’s governor is a “red Herring” !

ras52

Wild Bill, you got that right. Gov., lt. gov. and ag. in VA. are worthless!

Rock

DAMN ! That was GOOOOOD ! Zackley what he is.

Ryben Flynn

I surprised we haven’t heard of Californians smuggling ammo already. I’m fairly certain Nevada, Arizona and Oregon are not subject to California ammo laws. Is Kommiefornistan going to setup Border Check Points on every highway, road and cowpath into the State and conduct illegal searches and seizures of ammo? I don’t know about the requirements to buy ammo in those 3 States, but I don’t have show ID to buy ammo where I live. At least, not the last time I bought any.

Ned2

They already have “produce/agricultural” checkpoints on every major road. Wouldn’t be hard to have them look for “a bit more”.
I don’t go to California any more.

Tionico

Ammo sales in all three border states are unrestricted, except for minimum age of 21 for handgun ammo.. of course, any kid with a handgun could, and often does, just claim he’s got a Browning BLR in .357 or .44 Mag, the clerk will just say FINE. ID to show age, cash on the counter pick up the ammo and walk out. No one records driving license number or number plate. Of course, one might not be wise to buy inMedford Oregon then drive right over thehill intoCalifornia… as if nothing was wrong.. which, of course, it isn’t. Any quantity… Read more »

Will, do it. You wont regret it. Theres nothing like rolling your own!

Wild Bill

@ras and Will, I could not agree more. I enjoy reloading. It gives me the ability to experiment and make the best ammunition for a particular rifle or pistol.

Whormd

I can’t see how that will accomplish anything at all.

Terry

It wouldn’t that is not their point. They simply want to make it argues for any law-abiding citizens to have anything that deals with guns

Wild Bill

@TLS, You mean citizen disarmament?

Terry

Actually i can see it having the opposite affect. Ifi had to fo that evertime I bought ammo i would absolutely buy it in bulk. The next year they would limit sales per form to one box.

Whatzit

Next will be the question of “how much ammunition does one household need?” The push will be for limits on ammo sales to 5 rounds per month, with each sale being logged in a federal database so that you can’t just go down the street and buy more. They’ll argue that the second amendment does not apply to “ammo”, but only to the firearms themselves.

Tionico

they forget what little history they ever think they learned.

Don’t they know that General Thomas Gage, the royal head high governor of all the Colonies, once he determined to disarm those pesky Colonials, did NOT try and seize their firearms, except at Lextington and Concord (at which places his men received the arms, all right, lead first) but instead seized, or attempted to so do, their powder and shot. He understood that the steel pieces were useless without gunpowder and lead shot, so he went after those wherever he could find them stored.

Knute

Remember that he did get most of the lead? At Lexington and Concord the lead that the British received came from melting down the pipes in the church pump organ to cast into balls.

Wild Bill

@Whatz, Some households get along with each other better, and don’t need as much ammunition.

Laddyboy

I hear some other countries all a Subject to buy 25 rounds per year. They also MUST account for every round fired.

JohnBored

A few years back (quite a few) all ammo purchases with the exception of .22 LR and shotgun shells had to be registered in a ledger at the gun/sporting goods store. Another of the Left’s attempts to curtail the 2nd Amendment rights of the law-abiding, which did nothing to inconvenience the criminals.
