Beto Will Be Biden’s Gun Grabbing Point Man; ‘It’s War,’ Says CCRKBA ~ VIDEO

Democrat Joe Biden declared he would put anti-gun former Congressman Beto O'Rourke in as point man on guns during a Dallas rally. (Screen snip, YouTube, MSNBC)

U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- Would-be Democrat president Joe Biden essentially declared war on American gun owners by announcing at a Dallas campaign rally that he would put former Congressman Beto O’Rourke in charge of gun policy, according to one of the nation's major grassroots gun rights organization.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms called Biden’s announcement “a declaration of war.” According to RealClearPolitics, Biden is now favored to win his party's nomination in July.

O’Rourke appeared near the end of Biden’s speech, announcing that he would vote for the former vice president during Tuesday’s Democrat primary. In response, Biden told the audience;

“I want to make something clear — I'm gonna guarantee you, this is not the last you're seeing of this guy — you're gonna take care of the gun problem with me, you're gonna be the one who leads this effort. I'm counting on you, I'm counting on you, we need you badly.”

GOP Rapid Response Director Steve Guest tweeted, “Joe Biden promises Beto O'Rourke, who pushed for gun confiscation for legal gun owners, will ‘be the one who leads' his gun control effort. 2020 Democrats are unambiguous about their anti-Second Amendment agenda.”

But it was CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb who took off the gloves, issuing a statement: “Biden’s mask is completely off. He’s not just a doddering Democrat pushing to become president, he’s an extremist anti-gunner who just promised to put a gun prohibition fanatic in charge of his administration’s gun policy.”

O’Rourke infamously blurted during a Houston presidential debate last summer in Houston, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR15, your AK47!”

His campaign for the Democrat nomination tanked shortly afterward, and until this week, not much had been heard from O’Rourke, who formerly represented a district in West Texas.

At the time, Gottlieb vowed to not let anyone forget O’Rourke’s threat.

“For Biden to embrace Beto should erase any doubt where the former vice president truly stands on gun rights,” Gottlieb said in a Tuesday statement. “Months ago, we vowed to let nobody forget O’Rourke’s brazen threat to take away people’s firearms, and we meant it.”

“Beto O’Rourke represents everything that is wrong with today’s gun ban extremism,” Gottlieb added, “and he is one of the worst enemies of the Second Amendment. While he was campaigning, he said gun owners would be given the option of turning in their guns in exchange for cash, or risk being prosecuted. Then he outright threatened to confiscate the firearms of law-abiding Americans.”

Recalling the “O’Rourke incident” from many months ago, none of the other Democrats on stage at the time, including Biden, made any effort to counter the confiscation threat. Gottlieb said at the time that their silence confirmed a party-wide philosophy that suddenly transformed Democrats from the “party of gun control” to being the “party of gun confiscation.” Now, with The Hill reporting how “establishment Democrats” are rallying around Biden, apparently to keep Democrat Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders from capturing the nomination, the race is shaping up to be the insiders versus the outsiders.

Gun control has traditionally been part of the Democrat party platform, but O’Rourke’s approach lowered the bar to actual firearms seizures. Virtually all the other Democrats in the race have embraced some type of gun control, and with the entry of billionaire Michael Bloomberg—who was harshly criticized during a Manassas, Virginia Town Hall hosted by Fox News. It became so heated at one point that hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum called for a commercial break.

In Dallas, Biden incredibly told the crowd, “The days of Donald Trump's divisiveness will soon be over.” Yet he subsequently declared O’Rourke would be his partner to “take care of the gun problem with me,” essentially driving a wedge between himself and America’s estimated 100 million gun owners.

I saw part of Biden’s speech after polls closed on Tuesday. In addition to bringing in Robby O’Rourke, he seemed to shifting his entire platform to match most of what Sander’s has been calling for. My guess is he saw that there is no-one in the demo party to his right, so by shifting to a position almost aligned with Sander’s he can poach voters from Sander’s. I think he’s underestimating both the bro’s fanaticism and memory of general voters. Biden will be providing much fodder with which trump can demonstrate that Biden is inconsistent, claims positions regardless of his… Read more »

The costume that has concealed “We’re Democrats!” is all but gone, revealing the Marxists that have been hidden for so long.. Just plain ‘olé Communists. Nothing more…Communists that want to bring the Republic to ruin.

Just as Bernie’s hard-line communist supporters have called for.
His supporters, demanding a communist America, have called for pulling conservatives from cars and burning them alive, concentration and re-education camps and out and out civil war against those who support the Constitution.

Gee, as I recall those demands follow Lenin, Mao and Castro 100%.
Coincidence?

You have forgotten that all across America, the democrats are buying electronic voting machines. In those electronic voting machines, you can make each “button” do what ever you like. The manufacturers of said machines are working 24/7 to keep up with democrat demand. In 1992 in Louisiana, Republicans lost several elections to electronic voting machine democrats. After the election, it was found that NO ONE knew who programmed the voting machines and if you entered ten votes for the Republicans, it registered as five for the Republican and five for the scum democrat. In 2016, in Philadelphia, 121% of registered… Read more »

Sloppy Joe has probably forgotten that he said it already. Trump will mop the floor with him in the debates. As long as the economy holds up, the Democrats don’t have a prayer this election cycle. They are still dangerous, though.

Have said it elsewhere, biggest impact of COVID-19 is likely to be economic. There is risk of a sharp downturn and that some voters blame trump’s policies for degree of ensuing hurt. Don’t take election outcome for granted. Many oppose trump to point of not caring who is running against him and there are many sander and Biden supporters who cannot conceive defeat. Somebody’s got to be wrong.
Victory goes to the well prepared, so do what you can to insure we get suitable leadership.

O’Rourke only said what the democrats always intended. Biden would have been out for a ban regardless. Bloomberg has already promised to back Biden. Vote against Democrats this year, and every year until they disavow their anti-gun stand.

@ttj – You may call it cowardice, I call it caring for the lives of children. I will continue trying to sway my children and my MIL to an intelligent view of the world, but their priorities differ from mine.
As for the leadership – I will not prove them right by being a violent gun owner.

So what happens when you put two anti-gun dolts in charge? Why, they trip all over themselves like the Three Stooges only there’s two of them. “Whoop-whoop-whoop!” Ol’ Sleepy Joe may well be the Dems “Johnny Come Lately,” and Beto may be all amped up on “Hell yes we’re coming for your guns!,” but neither will see office. What you see today is as good as it’s ever going to get for these to unAmerican idiots. By November, the Republican machine will be in full swing, and they won’t know what hit them: besides another four years of Donald Trump.… Read more »

Good. Bloomie out of direct action is progress. BUT his money is still dedicated to doing Little Mikey’s evil bidding.

Best case I think would be for Sanders to win the nod, then it would be The Donald against The Burn.

The latter is enough of a nutjob loose cannon I can’t help but think it will tip solidly toward the former.

SO that leaves some critical state races to manage…. Washington’s being one of the more critical.

Laughable how the dims keep recycling all their no-talent ass-clowns. They are hell bent to ensure biden is the nominee, keeping Warren in the race to take votes from bernie. These people are sick, and I’m happy to sit back and watch their disgusting enterprise implode. Make sure everyone votes folks. We cannot afford to lose to these commie bastards – if we lose it’s all over. Civil war 2 will happen no doubt.

@DZ – Once he’s on the skateboard, return him down one of the little hills in San Francisco. If he comes back, do it again but drop him off on I-50 just west of pass between Nevada and California. Last time I drove that way, didn’t touch the gas, kept it in low and still had to brake for 90 mph curves. Good luck making it down on a skateboard, particularly tied up and covered in tar. Childish end to a childish being.

Beto, along with ALL the other demoncrapic presidential candidates, has already promised mass confiscation of AR’s and AK’s. Several have offered to use MILITARY FORCE. That is a declaration of war in no uncertain terms. It’s a sad thing that a country forgets it’s roots, the freedoms and the rights that were given to man from the LORD. The price to keep them had to be earned with blood. It always does. I expect there is a tree someplace that will soon be refreshed. The British tried firearms confiscation in the colonies at Lexington and Concord. Between that and a… Read more »

I’ve long been a fan of the firing squad, particularly when the customers are of the sort that either use guns in the harming of others, (they eat their own sauce) or if they have worked hard to disarm the rest of us. (poetic justice) I don’t think there will be any issues in finding a sufficient number of volunteers to serve our People in that capacity.
