I purchased a MAX 9, but didn’t keep it. My EDC for nearly 2 years is the SIG P365 and my measure of all the others. SIG got it right and the others are trying to emulate. Yes, I tried the HellCat too. The MAX9 just didn’t feel right in my hand & neither did the HellCat. Both are good guns, but the choice is personal. At very least there are several good choices .
Waiting to get my hands on a LCPII MAX for pocket pistol carry.

Had the Taurus GX4 been released ahead of the Ruger Max9, I believe it would have won the award. Yes. The Taurus GX4. Never mind that their customer service is lacking and never mind that it isn’t optics ready nor does it have great iron sights. But from a purely ergonomic standpoint, it has what may be one of the best triggers all micro compacts desire. Compared to the Ruger Max 9’s trigger, it is far nicer. The GX4 is in my opinion a better shooting pistol.
