What Resolutions Should Second Amendment Supporters Have In 2022?

Second Amendment Activist Protest Activism Take Action

United States – -(AmmoLand.com)- The start of a new year is here, and as is the tradition, New Year’s resolutions will be made. While all too often, those resolutions are history by the end of January, Second Amendment supporters should be determined to keep their 2022 New Year’s resolutions. But what should they be?

Register New Voters

Let’s face it, anti-Second Amendment extremists are registering eligible voters, so we need to make sure every eligible citizen who supports the Second Amendment is also registered to vote. If some shocking numbers are correct, this alone could be the difference between victory and defeat in the swing states that put an anti-Second Amendment extremist in the White House.

Vet Candidates

Just as important in the early part of 2022 is to vet the candidates for federal, state, and local office. The fact is, if you don’t want to be stuck with a disappointment like Larry Hogan or an enigma like Dr. Oz, you need to figure out who the best alternative to those candidates are – if they are in the field.

Ask the tough questions now but keep an open mind about the options. Remember, the first vote Susan Collins cast in the Senate after 2020 was against Chuck Schumer. If Schumer is the minority leader, he can’t do things like nuke the filibuster.

Pass Legislation To Fight Financial Deplatforming

Yes, social media censors Second Amendment supporters. Yes, we have serious threats from Gavin Newsom and other inventive anti-Second Amendment extremists. But if the firearms industry or “gun promotion organizations” (read: pro-Second Amendment organizations and outlets like Ammoland) on a financial blacklist, the Second Amendment will be history. State versions of the Freedom Financing Act must be the top legislative priority of Second Amendment supporters.

Make The Case to Everyone

If the 2021 election teaches Second Amendment supporters anything, they need to learn that the voters we don’t reach out to are the ones we will not have a chance to win over. Like Susan Collins, Glenn Youngkin has shown Second Amendment supporters an important technique in how to win elections in hostile territory.

Given the political landscape in Virginia, Youngkin may not be at the level of Josh Hawley in defending the Second Amendment, but his techniques have much to commend themselves to Second Amendment supporters.

Turn Out The Votes

Of course, all of the above will not matter if we do not get every pro-Second Amendment voter out to the polls. Know the laws governing elections and absentee ballots in your state and/or locality and get the vote out as aggressively as possible while staying within the law. Campaign like your First and Second Amendment rights are at stake… because they really are at stake.

Second Amendment supporters have a lot of work to do in 2022. The crucial task will be to defeat anti-Second Amendment extremists via the ballot box at the federal, state, and local levels this coming November. Then comes the task of replacing the Biden-Harris regime with a pro-Second Amendment President and Vice President.

Uh…. #1 – Buy ammo. We’ve got enough guns, it’s gonna be a Target Rich Environment. “Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice.” – Barry Goldwater.

Wow? Most of you guys STILL don’t understand the process and what MUST be done? WOW?

You really wanna make a difference? Stop voting for people based on the letter after their name! Actually look into their voting record. The vast majority of Republicans claiming to be pro-2A have supported infringement. Stop voting for people based on their party affiliation and out of fear of “the other guy” winning. As long as these Butters and Fudds keep winning elections they’ll keep doing what they’ve been doing and that’s infringing on your rights a little at time. Make it clear to your candidates that not only will you not stand for one more arms law but you… Read more »

Sadly, voting comes down to voting for the lesser of two available evils. (D) = Bad; (R) = Bad, in sheep’s clothing.

Problem:

ALL Democrats are gun grabbers regardless of their “official” gun votes. Why? They all vote for the gun-grabber leadership (Pelosi, Schumer), all endorse gun-grabbers like Obama, all confirm gun grabbers like Sotomayor, Kagan, Holder et ilk.

Not all Republicans are gun grabbers.

The solution is to primary the traitors out of the Republican tent.

Bad schools and textbooks and voter fraud are not accidents.
Both Hitler and Stalin knew education and phony elections where the key elements in tyranny.
In the old days voter fraud was easy to detect when voter turnout as 125%
Computers makes vote switching fast and hard to detect.
When voter test were used to deny racial groups their rights voter test were banned.
Maybe a non- racial test on the history an onstition of both State and Federal should be tried.again?

Wild Bill

I think that you have it right when you point out that computers make vote switching fast and hard to detect. Maybe we should rid the election system of computers, first. Then followed by other methods of cheating like mail in ballots, no id needed voting, and no proof of citizenship. Then maybe some form of nonracial, minimum competency testing.

To start with three items need to be removed from the NFA. Short barrel rifles, short barrel shotgun and sound suppressors. TO START. The whole stinking thing needs to be scrapped. I’m going to get folks to start hounding Arkansas representatives. This is an excellent post about SBR insanity…https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/nfa-nonsense-the-atfs-insane-regulation-of-short-barrel-firearms/

Voting is the solution? Were you awake during the last national election or did you sleep through it? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is Einstein’s classic definition of insanity. How many times are you going to participate in a corrupt process and think somehow it is going to work for you? Would you knowingly sit in on a poker game where all the other players are cheating and expect to win? You can walk away and not play and nothing will change, or you can shut the game down, get rid of the… Read more »

What are you suggesting that we do?

CourageousLion

Get on juries and VOTE NOT GUILTY for victimless crimes for one.

Wild Bill

Yes, I agree, but I wonder what jpm was suggesting.

How about calling your state representatives and pressuring them to introduce and/or support pro-2A legislation, whether it be constitutional carry, or any of a host of other measures (you know what your state needs to pass). Calling works 100 times better than an email, so pick up that phone and let your voices be heard!

Wild Bill

Personal letters, too, are more effective.

what works is have proof they took illegal campaign money and hold it over their head

Wild Bill

Ahhh, good old fashioned black mail. It seems to work for the Chinese over Biden.

Knute Knute

Blackmail works esp. well on politicians and other public figures. Always has. And it works really well when you have evidence of said public figure’s felonies on tape courtesy of Epstein and Maxwell. Then combine that stick with the carrot of a promotion for doing as you order, and you have just purchased yourself a lawmaker that will live in your hip pocket and do whatever you say, no matter how clownish. Then onto the next ‘public’ ‘servant’… That is historically the way to riches… not through hard work, but corruption. Naturally one would publicly SAY the opposite of that.… Read more »

Knute! How have you been. I was unaware of your comment or I would have responded earlier! Sorry.
Wow, that is quite the quote! Where did you get it?

Add to the list these two things. First, join and support your state affiliate of the NRA. These state level organizations are your local lead to supporting the shooting sports in your state and local area and are often the ones to lobby and vet politicians in your state house and county and municipal levels. If your state affiliate is not politically inclined, join one of the ‘Citizens Defense Leagues’ who often work In tandem with your state affiliate but focus on the political and legislative and allow the NRA state affiliate to focus on the educational and recreational and… Read more »

Harold, this falls under register new voters and would be a very valid add to that paragraph. Stop the left from allowing illegal non-citizens from voting in our elections. That would not only help us with the second amendment it would help us with who gets to run our country and might even turn some blue states back to red.

Just sayin.

how about new york letting illegals vote in local elections , talk about watering down the vote

Patriot Solutions

How about not making freemason Ted Cruzs boy friend Joe Rogan governor of TX since he is bros with the founder of the Church of Satan’s son……

Would that be a good resolution?

musicman44mag

Clicked on your link and saw the picture. Don’t know the other guys name so I don’t understand the reference to church of satan but I would much rather have Joe Rogan than Matthew McConaughey who I know is talking about running, wouldn’t you?

Patriot Solutions

Why does it have to be the cabal?

You obviously don’t know that they have 10’s of them behind each player to replace the fallen.

Go ahead, wish to be ruled by Satan but those results are in hand.

Don’t you find it offensive to be played at this depth by so-called Christian patriots.

I find it offensive that anyone that would vote to kill an unborn child only because it is unwanted calls themselves a Christian and that anyone that would vote for them is offensive too. As far as referencing someone you consider to be part of the cabal goes, I used his name because I am aware that he is wanting or was wanting to run. It’s just like the last presidency race. There were about 10 people that we knew of running for the republican position but there were actually 20 or more but who knows their names, I don’t… Read more »
