Oz Endorsement Says as Much About PA Republicans as It Does About Trump

So the upturned thumb tells us all we need to know? (Dr. Mehmet Oz/Facebook)

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “This is all about winning elections in order to stop the Radical Left maniacs from destroying our Country,” Donald Trump declared Saturday in his “Endorsement of Dr. Oz.” “Dr. Oz is Pro-Life, very strong on Crime, the Border, Election Fraud, our Great Military, and our Vets, Tax Cuts, and will always fight for and support our under-siege Second Amendment.”

A skeptical reaction by the Fletcher character from The Outlaw Josie Wales comes to mind. As does a nagging suspicion about being played.

Hey, someone’s gotta say it.

Regular readers of this column will remember the documentation of Oz’s stances on guns before he was running for office, including hosting “This Is Our Lane: Doctors Speak about Gun Violence,” endorsing infringements “including the banning of semiautomatic firearms” under the guise of “public health,” and further using his mass media platform to “sell” due process-denying “red flag laws” to his low-information audience.

The Gun Feed provided further irrefutable evidence of where Oz’s sympathies lie, including his call for fans to contact Congress to get the CDC back into the anti-gun advocacy through junk science business, and his Moms Demand Action-promoted hosting of anti-gun Rep. Lucy McBath.

“If the former president backs him that will tell all but the most self-deluded ‘3D chess’ apologists all they need to know,” I noted at the time.

Not quite.  The guy made a name for himself on TV by firing people. Perhaps if he was better at picking them in the first place, he wouldn’t need to end up angrily attacking so many he had nothing but high praise for in the beginning.

Consider all the wonderful things he said about William Barr, Christopher Wray, Jeff Sessions, Mike Pence, Anthony Scaramucci, “Mad Dog” Mattis, Mark Milley, and more.

Then consider how he described them and their qualifications after their fallings out, respectively: Barr; Wray; Sessions; Pence; Scaramucci; Mattis; Milley

That’s not to say Trump was wrong in his final assessments, but we’re talking about his initial ones here. And noting he’s a man who puts the highest priority on being perceived as a winner, we see the reason he has nothing but superlatives in his latest endorsement:

“Perhaps most importantly, I believe that Mehmet Oz will be the one most able to win the General Election against a Radical Left Democrat looking to do unthinkable harm to our Country.”

How electing someone the smart money says will be a leader in future Republican “compromises” on guns will be a “win” (for anyone who cares about the right to keep and bear arms) is left unstated. But it’s bigger than that, though, right? We need a Republican Senate majority so we can stop dangerous Biden appointments, like the recently confirmed Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, pushed over the top by two other Trump endorsees Susan Collins, and Mitt Romney.

Speaking of that process, it’s on Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans to explain why they didn’t even try to deny a quorum and prevent the vote from coming to the floor. It’s also on each of the national “gun rights groups” that did not urge their members to pressure them, and are now using the existential threat Jackson represents to solicit donations. There was no chance? How would they know without a committed fight, and how would that fight, and its risks, compare against the ones their members will now be forced into?

Now, in Pennsylvania, gun owners will once more be forced into a “lesser of two evils” decision, and one that can’t be resolved in the primary.  Trump’s first choice, Sean Parnell, appeared to be on track with key “conservative” issues, including guns and immigration but suspended his campaign after being accused of abuse by his estranged wife. The other alternative is globalist “Bush Republican” David McCormick who throws gun owners this bone while wearing the obligatory orange vest and cap:

“Protecting our 2nd Amendment Rights – Dave grew up hunting on his family’s farm in Bloomsburg and remains a hunter to this day. He is a strong believer in our Second Amendment rights and will stand up against the extreme left who want to abolish our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.”

An identical testimonial, equally as weasel-worded and meaningless, could have been offered up by Fudds for Biden. This is the best that Pennsylvania Republicans can offer, and the most that Pennsylvania gun owners have the clout to demand? Over the years acceptance of oath-breaking lumps like Tom Ridge, Arlen Specter, and Pat Toomey have convinced the establishment that they can get away with serial betrayals and never pay a price at the polls.

Left unaddressed is what the effects of taking fire out of bellies will have on voter turnout. Won‘t everyone be surprised, including Donald Trump considering his prospects for a 2024 comeback, if their best-laid schemes result in John Fetterman, Malcolm Kenyatta, or Conor Lamb taking home the prize?

For all of Trumps supposed education he missed out on civics and U S history, he ought to study the Constitution and Federalist papers because he has proven him self clueless.
He had so many bad picks it was laughable and Dr.Oz is yet another in a growing list. Dr.Oz is a Anti,no thanks.

Rock

Oz would be yet another RINO, we do NOT want or need him.
BAD endorsement Mr.Trump, bad endorsement.

As a resident of PA and one who has been involved in 2A activism for a long time I can tell you that the government and the political parties, both of the major ones, are totally corrupt. Th government in this state needs to be burned to the ground (figuratively, of course), and rebuilt from scratch. I don’t think anything short of that will work.

Arny

Jeff Bartos talks a good line. And does make business sense from what I heard him say. And he was out helping many in Pa during covid scam. More than any other candidate in DC. He stated in a interview he believes the courts should not be playing the role they took upon during the gerrymandering in 2018. And their ruling during the scamdemic with voting, I’m not sure how he feels about 2A though. That is what I want to know. This will determine for me, if he’s worth the effort to vote.

Basic strategy is to support the most ___ who can win. Fill in the blank with the topic or issue that concerns you most.

I don’t know much about PA politics. Perhaps Oz is the best choice. I have my doubts. Perhaps Trump can better explain his reasoning behind this endorsement

However, before deciding to run as a Republican, Trump was a mainstream east coast limousine liberal and he governed as the most conservative, pro-American president in my lifetime. For the record, that includes Reagan.

Russn8r

Reasoning? He backed another TV celebrity.

Wild Bill

Unworthy of comment.

PistolGrip44

No Mention of a True Constitutional Conservative like Carla Sands, who will get my vote in the Primary. If OZ were to win, I would write in someone else in November.

So you’d rather see a Democrat win if Oz is the candidate?

2gats

Yes! Better to get the enemy fully in Front of us than lie to our wishful deluded selves that we are doing something to save the republic.

More untrustworthy rino traitors from Trump. No surprise. If he wasn’t such a piss poor judge of character he could have been a champ and he could have saved the country.

piss on mehmet oz!

and spare me President Trump’s evaluation.

let’s see romney and murkowski’s heads on pikes!

Saboteurs in our tent, like kiddie-sex-change panderer, closet Dem, gun grabber & dual-Turkish-citizen Mehmet Oz, are more destructive than open enemies. They’re why we never take turf when we supposedly control congress, senate, White House & judiciary.

Meh!

Trump should have fired any person that was on obummers staff in the beginning like all the other presidents have done in the past. What he didn’t do was part of his demise.

Grigori

What difference does it make? RINOs are just as harmful as card-carrying Democrats, probably moreso. At least a Democrat has the balls to wear his nasty label in the open so you know who and what he is. Cowardly RINOs hide behind that Republican banner and stab us in the back. Also, in Republican “majority” states like SC, many Democrats switch to Republican to get those majority votes plus the “straight ticket” votes from those too lazy or too stupid to vote for individuals rather than parties.

musicman44mag

NO I don’t think he does but we need to show the RINO’s that if they are one, they will not get in because we are sick and tired of voting party lines and We the PEOPLE are drawing the red line in the sand and we mean it. Fully protect the second amendment or we wont vote for you and a commie demonkkkrattt will win instead because we would get the same vote from them. We don’t need more Romney’s or cheneys in office. At least I would know that I would have a constant fight rather than have… Read more »

Tried to donate to Carla Sands, but her donation platform is WinRed, controlled by the Romney “Republican” party, so 4% of each donation goes to RINOs. I wouldn’t p¡ss on WinRed if it was on fire. I never donate online anyway, only by check, so 100% goes to the candidate. But her site has no mailing address & no contact page.

musicman44mag

I like your handle. Pun intended.

Montana454Casull

Trump sold out gun owners when he signed the bump stock ban and fix NICS . He is just another politician with a R in front of his name now after he did that. The R stand for RINO now not Republican .Just look at Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and the list goes on of RINOs who have sold gun owners out . A R does not guarantee they are second amendment supporters . Becoming a politician does guarentee they are corrupt and will not support the means to remove them all from office !

Arny

And let’s not even talk about his version of tax reform he ran on before becoming President. Once elected that fell to the wayside. That was one of the major reasons I voted for him. Well that & Hillary Stung more than sleeping with hornets.

Wild Bill

Respectfully, we got tax cuts under Trump.

Last edited 9 months ago by Wild Bill
Russn8r

Respectfully, no we didn’t. Not when balanced against his massive spending bills and consequent inflation tax.

Wild Bill

Equally respectfully, Congress does the spending. Not the president.
The FIT that we send in has nothing to do with how much Congress spends.
Inflation under Trump was a little over two percent.

Russn8r

Respectfully, Trump signed the bills & spent the money. The great monetarist Milton Friedman showed 70 years ago that inflation averages 18 months to kick in after the hike in money supply. We’re now seeing inflation initiated by Trump, RINOs & DemComs caused by profligate spending & money printing in Trump’s final year, exacerbated by paying people more to stay home than to work, which he also signed off on.

Wild Bill

Trump had to sign the spending bill, but spending bill must begin in the House, expenditure must be authorized by the Senate.
The president neither spends nor can stop the spending.

john

Good afternoon sir, Most here think they understand how our government operates. There is only the illusion that are government works for We The People at this time in history. We are in dark waters danger is everywhere. eyes wide open head on a swivel. We must have a fair election in the midterms or all will be lost.

Wild Bill

I was only speaking to the mechanics of federal spending as outlined in Articles 1 and 2 of the Constitution.
I’m sure that all three branches of our corrupt government have little intention to act in the best interest of We the People, but the mechanics must be followed, which gets Trump off the hook of this nasty allegation.
Yes, we have to get the elections under honest control and weed out the propaganda of our foreign enemies, that occurs on “social” media.

john

I understand what you meant How did we get a corrupt government Some say John Kennedy was a great president I disagree he was from a corrupt family that started long before he was born. His brother Teddy left a woman to drown while driving drunk he had a long run as senator. Fast forward to the bush family long before either Bush was president there wealth came from supplying the nazi party a little know fact. That said everyone has a past the Clintons that is a hell of a past that goes back to watergate for Hillary who… Read more »

Russn8r

Respectfully, wrong. Trump did not have to sign any of these bills, and he actively promoted them. The federal government spends money authorized by congress, and the president is the CEO of the federal government. The president can in fact not spend money authorized, and often does.

Wild Bill

I see that my writing was not clear, I meant that Trump had to sign the spending bill to make that bill become law.
Once the bill becomes law the president can not refuse to spend the money, he is not a CEO. Remember all the funds that the sanctuary cities were to receive, and Trump tried not to pay them? The S. Ct ruled that he had no power to withhold the funds because that would subvert the intention of Congress.

Russn8r

Respectfully, one case does not disprove the fact that presidents often get away with not spending funds authorized.

However, that issue is a diversion: Trump wanted to spend that money, which is why he promoted & signed profligate spending bills that authorized it.

Wild Bill

If Trump wanted to spend the money to the sanctuary cities, then why did he go to court to withhold it?

Russn8r

Respectfully, you know that’s not the spending I’m referring to.

Wild Bill

Sorry, I no more know what is in your head, than you know what was in Trump’s head.

Russn8r

Respectfully, clear from context. Trump’s final year was marked by his pushing & signing irresponsible spending bills, effectively inflation-tax bills, that paid people more to stay home than to work, and for deadly vaccines he still falsely claims are safe & effective. And he trashed folks who tried to fix these bills.

Russn8r

DemCom nonsense. Hop over to Media Matters & hook up with your fellow Log Cabin “Republicans”.

Wild Bill

I seem to remember that, at the beginning of the Chinese Corona virus contagion, Trump sent one Navy hospital ship to New York harbor and the other to the port of Los Angeles. Aren’t those blue states?

Wild Bill

Yes, had Trump felt that he was president of the red states only, he would have sent the hospital ships to only red states.

john

We must never forget how the corona virus was weaponized. Today we are watching something unfold in China people being held locked up starving screaming 25 million are now pad locked in without medical care and basic supplies.
Americans would be foolish to think that another lockdown can’t happen here. Yes some would be happy on the left progressives today we have a one party government that knows no bounds that empowered local democrats to issue mandates against our freedoms.
Remember NOV 2022 midterms are just around the corner a Democrats dream come true.

Oldman

Wow! A lot of ‘respectfully’ going on around here. Could this be the change of the tide. Go Trump!

We the People wanted Trump to build the wall. He was opposed in every way. He built the wall (most of it).
China was raping us. He stood up to them. NAFTA was exporting American jobs. He stopped it. The UN Small Arms Treaty was fixing to negate the Second Amendment. He axed it.
One thing that he got wrong is not the measure of his presidency.

Russn8r

One thing? LOL

Wild Bill

You imply more. That is not an argument. List them… if you can.

Russn8r

Done. Lots of times. Not your gopher.

Wild Bill

Didn’t think that you could.

Russn8r

Get busy, gopher.

Russn8r

Trump’s babble-bungling of the defense against the ChiDem covid attack, then jumping on the covid hysteria bandwagon with Operation Warp Speed and his idiotic spending spree, signing corrupt woke pork bills that pay people more not to work than they would make working, helped the ChiDems & RINOs create massive inflation, which is a massive tax that is far greater than the $trillion he handed out like candy. The inflation took back the middle & lower class giveways and then some.

DIYinSTL

Yeah, Trump screwed us over even worse on bump stocks (by letting the whole effing regulatory camel into the tent) than Reagan did by accepting the Hughes Amendment as part of otherwise good legislation. Somewhat balanced by federal court appointments though. Oz’s history places him left of Romney.

Trump capitulated to the Congress and panicked American people when, on the advice of the NRA and OTHERS not known, he told the ATF to call them machine guns. Now that the truth is out and there are lawsuits, probably to be go before the SC, it is a whole different game. He also has two very conservative sons who are into firearms, hunting and self protection, that will probably change his mind, in the future. We here all know that nothing has been shown to be the truth about Las Vegas….Just another Kennedy-like cover up.

JSNMGC

Trump was never pro 2nd Amendment. People apologize for his actions while he was president by indicating he was just following the advice of the NRA. Trump pushed gun control that not even the NRA supported, and Trump bragged about doing so. As far as him taking advice from his sons next time around, it’s more likely he will take advice from Ivanka and Jared. Trump desperately wanted to increase his popularity among white, suburban women. A large percentage of white, suburban women believe the government can protect their children with more gun control laws. Trump was pandering to this… Read more »

It’s been some time since I voted FOR a person to become president, but I always find one to vote AGAINST. I’d like to see no one win without a majority of the votes cast. If no one wins a majority, hold another election. If the loser gets 40% of the votes and the winner gets 45%, then most of the people wanted somebody else!

I watched the rally in Georgia and when he indorsed Dr. Spazzo my heart dropped. I wondered if Trump got a second term if he would revert back to being a demonratt in his last days and implement all kinds of antigun measures. His willingness to ban bump stocks concerned me and his support of Red Flag Laws pisses me off. Now this, and I am even madder than the red flag garbage. I am leery of him now and think this is a prelude to what he is really looking for. When my heart dropped, so did my vote.… Read more »

I have long had the sinking feeling that Trump was “controlled opposition”, put in place by the Deep State to stave off the revolution which surely would have happened had Hillary won in 16. The more of his damnfool antics such as this that I see, the more convinced I become that I am correct about him. He did a few little things here and there that improved things for our country, but I noticed that almost as if by design, they were engineered to be of temporary or minimal impact. Attention everyone, few people seem to be aware, why the CCR Bill ( national concealed carry reciprocity ) is not now law.

There is actually a hard to find video of this.

Let’s look at the Amy Klobuchar that Trump mentioned and her comments if she were president. As for Diane Feinstein she and her dead husband have already proven their allegiance to a marxist government and her ability to lie to the American people. The democrats are anti guns anti American and want to disembowel our constitution in the name of globalism & socialism. Americans must vote to take the house and senate in 2022. You don’t know it never would’ve passed. All you know is Trump blocked any attempt to try. He couldn’t wait to jump on the gun control ban-wagon and suck up to DiFi & Schumer after a shooting. At the very least he could’ve loaded the bill with poison pills like carry reciprocity and abolishing “gun free” zones, and blamed Dems for killing it.

john

I guess that not everyone reads and thinks about what they just read. Trump or no Trump sometimes you have to know when to stop poking the bear. Trump was attacked from all sides everyday who here could have withstood that assault at their place of work? Trump made lots of mistakes he kept his promises more than any other president. I guess not everyone likes to reply directly to issues without deflection. What bear are you talking about, btw? He didn’t just walk away, he actively supported gun control, disgustingly sucked up to DiFi & Schumer and hushed the one guy who wanted to include reciprocity. Then when his gun control law failed to pass, he did administrative gun control.

john

Trump had real issues with people he picked in his administration. I believe that being a owner and CEO President of a multi faceted company where it was Trump’s way or the highway was not conclusive to how he handled his staff.

The board of directors the largest shareholder has the biggest teeth and most answer to that person. Not so in Washington!!! I do believe Gun control was not the first thing on Trump’s mind daily and rightfully so.

Thank you for reading

Wild Bill

You are very diplomatic!

I will NEVER vote for Trump again. He had his chance and his narcissism failed us every step of the way. His anti 2A crap was more than enough but his record when endorsing and hiring people is atrocious. He is so crappy at chosing people who are nothing more than RINO’s that if he endorses someone we need to run as far from that endorsement as we can get. I likewise strongly prefer to not see Trump run again. If he gets the nomination, he’s better than any alternative. I’m looking for Trumpism without Trump. Who is going to offer that?

Ron DeSantis

Russn8r

DeSantis has all the positives of Trump, none of the disadvantages. Plus he can finish a thought coherently without flip-flopping and changing the subject 10 times in the same sentence. And he does things, doesn’t just yap and “think about it” and “watch closely” as Trump did with Twitter censorship.

Noem’s good too.

Russn8r

We don’t know that yet. DeSantis said he wants it. Have you lobbied him?

Some here bash him for actions by Marion Hammer’s corrupt pets Sen Pres Wilton Simpson & Rep Chuck Brannon who blocked ConCarry.

They refuse to email or call to let him know how important it is to us now rather than late this year when Simpson’s term limited out.

They don’t really want CC, just want to bash DeSantis. Most are shills for RINO Greg Abbott who only pretends to do the right thing under heavy pressure from real Rs.

I don’t know how much he wants it, I’m no worshiper, I lobby him daily to use all his clout to get it done now instead of late this year or early next when Simpson’s out. That sounds like he has pipe dreams to me, but yes, you are right. He thinks I am a Trump worshiper, but he doesn’t know that I worship no man.none, not even a little. I only Worship the God of Creation, the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Happy Easter everyone!

Wild Bill

Happy Easter to you and your kin, too!

Russn8r

Anyone who posts “Go Trump!” to articles about him pushing gun control & endorsing gun grabbers like Oz, is an obvious Trump worshiper.

Wild Bill

So many factors, yet you seize on one to support the conclusion that you want. That is not logic. It is rationalization. Did you spend your whole life rationalizing?

Russn8r

Get off my jock, stalker.

Wild Bill

You invite derision. It would be rude not to accept.

Russn8r

Sure thing, stalker. What happened to your 20-mule-team sock posse? WillTEXJesseBruceFord get whack-a-trolled again?

Wild Bill

There never was a posse that was just in your own mind. You offended so many that a number of individuals made it their business to stand up to your filthy, perverted comments. Have a nice day.

Russn8r

Uh huh. Your Oathbreaker Posse just hates filthy perverted comments like this

Russn8r

Prissy prude act: Whine about allegedly “filthy perverted comments”; but no issue with posts like

Maybe it’s no act. You say folks who “use drugs recreationally” can’t be trusted; including alcohol & marijuana, even if used responsibly. Do you trust them with the right to carry concealed? Sounds like a drug warrior.

Oldman

Well, here we are again. I told you you would end up looking like a fool, if you continued supporting an obvious misrepresentation of Trump Supporters without any way to back it up.
If only you had been wise enough to have begun your statement with, ” I think that Trump supporters pretend to……… But then, I think that you have no clue as to what your obvious no intellect circumstance does to your inability to communicate with others in an appropriate manner. Good Friday to you sir and have a great holiday weekend with friends and family. Happy Easter.

Tackleberry

If you want to know what the water is like, don’t ask the fish. Likewise, a fool knows no other existence than to be a fool.

Wild Bill

That describes my pittie, perfectly!

Russn8r

Another chatroom commando Oathbreaker Posse snark attack.

Russn8r

“Go Trump!” -Oldman & Wild Bill, posting to an article on Trump’s gun control betrayals.

Oldman

Whassa matta? You run out of things to drink in your sippy cup? Happy Easter to you. Now go away and try to find someone else to pay attention to your ad hominem illiterate attacks. You beginning to bother me, boy.

Russn8r

Am I? Boo hoo.

Oldman

Emphatically NO! But it is good to see you making a fool of yourself-AGAIN! The worst part of it is you can’t seem to help yourself – nada one little bit.

ahhiyawa

Your solution is insane since there is a lot of road yet to travel before any of us have to cross that bridge.

john

A subject is now part of our country’s history Trump withdraws from UN arms treaty Obama and John Kerry sent the arms treaty to the united nations without the support of senate. Obama clearly over reached his oath of office undermining the senate and the American people. The US signed the treaty in 2013 but never ratified it. All doctors take a oath to save lives Dr Oz is a TV doctor in the limelight nothing more or less. As for Trump it would be a disaster if he runs again who he supports does not always win the day.
Republican have a big problem as the pickings are slim for a world leader from with the party. If the governor of texas keeps his word and send illegals back to washington ????

Russn8r

Wish it weren’t true, but Abbott only pretends to do the right thing under pressure from real Rs at election time.

Abbott Kills Child Sex Surgery Ban

Abbott-Phelan take $250k from sex-change mills
https://nationalfile.com/texas-abbott-patrick-house-speaker-received-250k-from-clinic-that-chemically-castrates-transgender-kids/

Abbott’s lockdowns bankrupted 1000s of small firms. Refuses to call special session to pass mandate bans with teeth despite his yr-old EO being ignored (as he knew it would).

“Abbott was ok with his ‘close small business’ order jailing hairstylists but does zip to stop UT ignoring his vax mandate ‘ban’.” Only helped get her out under heavy pressure from real Rs.

Russn8r

As to the border, see:

Abbott & Phelan responsible for paralyzed special session
https://texasscorecard.com/state/texans-critique-gov-abbotts-and-speaker-phelans-handling-of-botched-special-session/

Abbott’s border “wall” really a chain link joke
https://texasscorecard.com/state/citizens-find-governor-abbotts-border-wall-is-a-fence/

As to “Con Carry”, Abbott-Phelan insisted on keeping the deadly patchwork quilt of “gun free” zones, including “private” firms open to the public that yielded 23 dead & no civilian resistance in El Paso.

Russn8r

Check out all the pedophile sex-change downvotes.

Arny

Do you not see Abbott helping Biden to fulfill his illegal immigrant agenda ? He sends them to DC the illegals move all around the East Coast or elsewhere. How does that help ? Apparently you haven’t been to DC lately. It was already little Mexico. If he wanted to help he would send them back across the border. Or setup a NO MANS LAND.

Russn8r

Abbott is all hat, no cattle. He could invoke Art IV Sec 4 and Art I Sec 10 and stop the invasion.

“The U.S. shall guarantee to every state a republican form of government, and protect each of them against invasion…”
Art IV Sec 4

“No State shall keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, Compact with another State or foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.”
Art I Sec 10

Instead, he blathers at pressers & builds a chain link joke.

Orion

Oz is a blatant rino and trump should see that. very disappointing.

Mack

David,

The Hill has this to say.

Worth reading.

Trump’s Oz endorsement in Pennsylvania vexes GOP allies

Dan

Trump offers hope to us patriots, 80mill votes proves that. No one who is not a career politician can be expected to personally know the players. You hire people on their past performance but if they don’t perform for you, you fire them- if you have the guts to do so. TV Dr. Oz is no friend of us gun owners but, if he’s the best turd on the s#!t heap- use him.

Arny

Not really hope. Just the better of two evils.

waterfowler19

Trump got 74 million votes, Biden was the one with 81 million

Wild Bill

Eighty million of which were … fake.

Oldman

You really think he got a million that were NOT fake? LOL

Wild Bill

I stand corrected. 😉

Russn8r

Trump’s 1st & foremost a narcissist. Betrays his own as convenient. Ask Assange, without whom he’d never have beaten Hillary. Ask 100s of naïve unarmed Trump-worshiping ‘insurrectionists’ he trashed after his refusal to discredit Q-type psyops helped provocateurs lead them to destruction. Could’ve saved them with a pen, too busy pardoning bank robbers, drug dealers & celebs. Ask the 2A community about jumping on the DiFi-Schumer gun-control ban-wagon after a shooting.

USA 1st? He saw a big niche opportunity, glommed onto it. Trump worshipers clapped like seals when he endorsed Oz. Hope he doesn’t run for pres again.

Not this one, I was pissed and sat here waiting for this article to appear. I am surprised it took so long.

Russn8r

Yep. Codrea’s a busy beaver. Worth the wait. They clapped in the rally video like trained seals. Sick making. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtVMeCiiDV8
Personality cults are dangerous: Trump worshipers assume anything he says is “America 1st”, 3D chess etc.

Russn8r

The WB crowd is downvoting you for not attacking me. Sad.

musicman44mag

Lol, well we all have votes just like we all have !!!!!!. You know what I mean. I never care what the votes are, like them or not. What is said is the most important part to get the message out there. If some weren’t sharing their message I would still live in my own little world that is not totally informed. Russn8r

You start with an ad hominem strawman attack, then 2 pages of diarrhea. Trump worshipers pretend you never heard of a primary, that opposing Trump = supporting Biden. Effectively true in a general, but in a primary if you back Trump over a true conservative Republican, you help elect Biden.

Oldman

First and foremost, every human being is born a Narcissist. Most grow out of it pretty soon, especially if they have siblings. Trump is not one in my personal opinion. Trump is a showman with a large, well deserved ego. He does stand up humor with every rally, and whether you like it or not, he is effective as a president. Does he make mistakes? Yep. We all do, from time to time.

Russn8r

So, you like gun control, as long as it’s Trump’s gun control.

Wild Bill

Let’s not be putting words in other people’s mouths, please.

Oldman

Doesn’t deserve an answer. Gibberish, I say

Russn8r

No answer because it’s true, so you deflect like a coward. Trump’s gun control is no “mistake”, it’s straight-up betrayal. Like your posse’s betrayal of innocents murdered by LEOs.

Last edited 9 months ago by Russn8r

A lot of people here are expressing their feelings for Trump negatively. The enemy is not Trump who had failures during his term could anybody here have done a better job?. My own opinion is that Trump should not run again for many reasons. The republicans have no front runner at this time the Rhinos are siding with the enemy. Our constitution is being shredded while our borders are overrun due to that’s right Joe Biden and his administration and his party of lying politicians. Not just failures, betrayals. Recent polls show DeSantis more popular with R voters than Trump. DeSantis is the frontrunner in that regard.

ahhiyawa

ahhh…I am not aware of any poll that shows DeSantis outperforming Trump. If so than please post a link to that poll or polls.

Wild Bill

Caught him.

swmft

not really, but like most he was just glancing at what he read. WE need to stop sniping at each other, it is counter productive; this is an exchange of ideas and information and yes we need links to information to validate it and maybe glean a different view

Russn8r

As you know, I’m not stalking & sniping. Other way around. If the LEO Posse stops harassing & trying to cancel me, problem solved. But I won’t turn the other cheek, be silenced, stop discussing Oathbreakers or stop remembering their victims.

Wild Bill

I’m cool with that.

Russn8r

Then why don’t you stop stalking and sniping?

Wild Bill

Because you don’t.

Russn8r

Nice try. I don’t stalk you. You troll my comments that are not addressed to you.

Russn8r

My bad. I misheard a report. Correction: In Florida, not surprisingly, DeSantis leads Trump 44-41. Oddly, DeSantis is way ahead with Florida men, 51-32, but 12 points behind with women. I suspect that’s due to female regret & guilt over voting for Biden because Trump said a bad word, whereas more men had no buyers regret since they voted for Trump.

Nationally, I suspect DeSantis will soon lead, partly due to Trump endorsing anti-gun RINO & dual Turkish citizen Mehmet Oz.

ahhiyawa

Some qualifications in response to your analysis: …DeSantis came in second in a survey of CPAC attendees regarding which candidate they would support for president in 2024. Trump came in first with 59 percent, while 28 percent said they would support the Florida governor... A straw poll of CPAC republicans representing a broad view of party opinion, opposed to local or state polls, definitively establishes Trumps leadership over the party now and for the foreseeable future. Of course when Trump was removed as an option: …61 percent said they would support DeSantis… DeSantis is clearly a rising star who could… Read more »

Wild Bill

I up voted you, but he canceled it. Sorry.

Russn8r

So you defend Turkish gun grabbers. Kiddie sex change promoters too, like your heroes Greg Abbott & Dade Phelan who took $250k from sex change mills then killed a kiddie sex change ban.

Wild Bill

Wild Bill

Those may be what you think the facts are, but you need to bring a charge and then prove each element of each and every charge brought. Just saying that is due process.

Henry Bowman

WB, read my previous. When Ammoland deletes the post or account of someone whom I rip a new orifice, invariably my posts get shifted to people who are not the target of my reply. The reason people like Oz get elected is because a large percentage of people who are Republicans don’t support traditional Republican policy, including: Smaller government Lower taxes Firearm rights Some people call politicians like Oz “RINOs.” The reason “RINOs” get elected is because too many Republican voters don’t truly want smaller government, lower taxes, and firearm rights. Some voters say they are pro 2nd Amendment, BUT, they believe there are more “common sense gun control laws we can all agree on.” Some voters say they are for smaller government, BUT, “those darn private sector ammo companies are gouging us and… Read more »

Downvoters don’t like the other side of “RINO” voters pointed out.

Some people who call themselves “conservatives,” and who go on and on about socialists, believe in core socialist principles – just like AOC:

Russn8r

Small gvt, low tax, gun rights, property rights including the natural born citizen’s share of publicly held property, fully enforced borders & non-suicidal immigration levels, the right to fair trial by jury before any infringement of liberty, bodily integrity (no forced vax), free speech, not to have your children groomed by perverts, and the rest of the bill of rights express and implied.

Loyal American conservatives & true Republicans conserve these principles, not whatever happens to be law. “Rs” who don’t support these are RINOs, not loyal American conservatives. These are legit shorthand, no need to use quotation marks.

JSNMGC

I just showed three policy points and used the word “including.” I chose those three because a certain percentage of people in the firearm rights community who call themselves “conservative” struggle with two of the three. Many of them are statists who want a huge government, lots of government employees, and lots of laws. They want a good bit of totalitarianism – just a different flavor than the one driven by democrats. There have been numerous comments on this site calling for: More armed government employees (e.g., “state guards”); More laws (or misuse of current laws) to control prices, which… Read more »

Many Back The Blue Whatever They Do, but The Blue enforces gun controls, not the authors, & virtually every Blue group pushes gun control. Except LEAA. Haven’t heard of them for decades. Last I recall they pushed ‘Police Carry 1st’ i.e. civilians last, after police carry reciprocity passes. Betrayal. Once they get theirs they won’t lift a finger.
