Rock Island Auction Company – -(AmmoLand.com)- Manufactured in 1908, this particular example is in the desirable 45 Long Colt 4 3/4 inch barrel configuration with fixed sights marked with the two line Colt address on top and the caliber on the left side. Two line patent dates and encircled rampant Colt on the left side of frame with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in ovals at the tops. Accompanied by a later production Lawrence Buscadero-style brown leather holster.

Condition:
Fine. Retains approximately 25% of the faded original blue finish, mostly present in the sheltered areas of the barrel and ejector rod housing with balance of metal a medium brown patina. Frame retains mostly the pattern of the original case colors with the aforementioned most accurately described as “silvered out”. Grips show heavy wear especially on right side which is also turning chocolate. Mechanics are excellent, strong bright bore with scattered fine pitting. Holster is also fine
