Action Target Joins Lawsuit Over Chicago Gun Range Prohibition

Action Target Announces Their Involvement In The Lawsuit Over Chicago Gun Range Prohibition

Action Target

Provo, Utah –-(Ammoland.com)- ACTION TARGET, on August 16, 2010, joined the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) in filing a lawsuit in federal court against the City of Chicago’s new gun ordinance.

The lawsuit asserts that the city is depriving its residents of their right to keep and bear arms by banning public gun ranges while at the same time requiring range training for handgun owners.

Randy Graham, Vice President of ACTION TARGET, said, “We believe that citizens have a constitutional right to use and train with firearms in a safe and controlled environment. As a leader in the firearms training industry, Action Target is committed to standing up for these rights.”

Why has Action target joined the Lawsuit?

ACTION TARGET has a long history of supporting Law Enforcement in obtaining the critical training necessary to safely use their firearms in the defense of the public and themselves.

Our participation in challenging the City of Chicago prohibition on gun ranges is driven by the following positions:

  • As leaders in the firearms training industry, ACTION TARGET has an obligation to stand up for the constitutional rights of citizens to keep and bear arms.
  • ACTION TARGET supports the civilian ownership of firearms and promotes the safe use of those firearms through proper training in a secure and controlled environment such as a gun range.
  • It is Action Target’s experience that a majority of law enforcement officers support the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens. We stand with these officers.
