Southport, CT –-(Ammoland.com)- Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), is pleased to announce that Davidson’s, Inc. has been named the Ruger 2010 Distributor of the Year.

In recognition of outstanding sales and support of the Ruger product line, Davidson’s was presented with a rare Ruger XGI rifle in February 2011.

“Davidson’s has proven to be a valuable independent wholesale distributor for Ruger year after year, delivering high sales numbers and superior performance on all Ruger promotions,” said Chris Killoy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Sturm, Ruger.

“Through the joint efforts between Ruger and Davidson’s, we continue to produce exciting and creative Ruger firearms that are sold as “Davidson’s Exclusives.” These special runs are big hits with customers, and that enthusiasm stems from the sales and marketing efforts of the fantastic Davidson’s team. We are proud to name Davidson’s our “Distributor of the Year” and thank everyone in the organization for their commitment to Ruger,” Killoy concluded.

“It is really a special honor to receive the Ruger 2010 Distributor of the Year award,” said Bryan Tucker, CEO and President of Davidson’s, Inc. “I believe it is a great tribute to both Sturm, Ruger and Davidson’s that our relationship spans over 50 years, with Ruger being Davidson’s top firearms line since 1987. Davidson’s sincerely appreciates this award and is indeed privileged to be the top distributor of such a great American firearms manufacturer,” he continued.

“I would like to recognize all of the fantastic work by Davidson’s employees in order to make this happen and sincerely thank all of Davidson’s loyal customers to whom we owe our success.”

Davidson’s, Inc. is one of the largest and most progressive firearms wholesalers in America. In business since 1932, Davidson’s stocks a vast inventory of firearms from the industry’s top manufacturers, possesses years of industry experience, and has a reputation as a leader in innovation. I am looking for a Ruger Model 0662 and I understand you distribute to dealers in St. Louis, MO. I am trying to find out when you may be distributing this gun and am very interested in buying one. Ruger provided your name as one of the distributors. Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks!
