SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. –-(Ammoland.com)- The 2013 United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) Area 5 Championships is a regional shooting competition.
It will feature 14 challenging courses of fire that test a shooter’s skill with the pistol based on speed and precision. Area 5 contains Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kentucky and West Virginia.
The winners of this match are considered the Area 5 Champions in their respective divisions.
USPSA is the national governing body for the sport of practical shooting in the U.S. and has more than 24,000 members competing in weekly matches throughout the country, as well as regional and national championships.
Shooters will compete for the regional titles in USPSA’s Open, Limited, Limited 10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack divisions.
Along with competitors from Illinois, shooters from across the country are expected to compete.

More than 230 of the nation’s pistol shooters will come to Barry to compete for regional titles in the USPSA’s 2013 Area 5 Championships.
USPSA is a non-profit membership association. Most of the more than 20,000 individual members belong to and regularly compete at one of the nearly 375 affiliated clubs and sections (groups of clubs banded together for mutual benefit) located across the United States.
