Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, together with Sandy and Lonnie Phillips, are filing a lawsuit against against Lucky Gunner–“which operates BulkAmmo.com“–which is where alleged Aurora theater gunman James Holmes bought ammunition.
The Phillips’ daughter, Jessica Ghawi, was killed during a July 2012 attack on theater goers for which Holmes has yet to face trial.
According to the Aurora Sentinel, the suit will be filed in the Arapahoe County District Court as part of the Brady Center’s “national campaign against ‘Bad Apple’ gun dealers.” The Brady Center says the suit will be “the first in the nation against online sellers of ammunition and military equipment.” It alleges that the ammunition retailer did not “use any screening mechanism to determine [Holmes’] identity or intent for the products.”
As Breitbart News previously reported, Holmes did pass background checks for the purchase of his firearms.
On September 10, Breitbart News also reported that the Brady Center and Lindsay Fox were suing In Site Firearms for selling the gun that police say was eventually used to shoot and kill her husband, Officer Brad Fox. The individual who bought the gun has been imprisoned and admitted “lying on gun purchase applications,” but the Brady Center is still suing as a way to hold “‘Bad Apple’ gun dealers… accountable.”

suing the hospital that birthed that devil spawn…
Hey – these morons pointed me to a decent ammo site or two. I usually look only at another site.
These lawsuits have the social utility theory behind them. This theory goes if a product has no social utility and is dangerous the manufacturers are liable for the criminal misuse. An automobile kills many people a year but according to this theory the untility of an automobile is greater than its crininal misuse.
These aholes (Brady, et al) should have all of their assets seized and their officers and lawyers thrown in jail for abusing the legal system in an attempt to harass law abiding people and deprive them of their rights.
OK, I’ll say it then: nitrogen dioxide.

I hope Lucky Gunner,Bulk Ammo counter sue the hell out of the Brady Bunch ! All this is is frivolous, harrassment !
Why doesn’t the Brady center and the Phillips sue the psychiatrist who was supposedly treating/counseling Holmes. She could have reported him to local law enforcement as a threat to society in the interest of public safety and more than likely that simple action would have prevented the crime. Holmes is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity, she an “educated” and trained psych could not see he was insane ?
It’s a fact of life. Lawyers profit from other people’s pain.
By this logic I should sue the oil industry, mining industry , GM , makers of alcoholic beverages , the used car dealer , the insurance company , the gas stations of the drunk off duty officer that ran me over . After all they all contributed to allowing a drunk driver to cause injury to me which resulted in 5 operations and 11 weeks hospitalization.
Please stop the stupidity lawsuits and focus on the real criminal , the idiot who did it.
Are they suing the store that sold him his shirt?mhow about the store that sold him his hair dye?
The car manufacturer that built the car he drove there? Or the gas station where he filled it up?
