Conklin, NY -(Ammoland.com)- From the producers of the television show American Outdoors comes a new, original and exciting 13 week series – History of the Gun.
“I'm very excited about this series,” says Executive Producer Bill Rogers. “As the oldest outdoor television show in the country, firearms have always been a big part of American Outdoors but at least 70% of our content has been devoted to backpacking, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. Last year when we received international acclaim for our series on the History of the Sharps Rifle, it confirmed to all of us that we wanted to immerse ourselves in the history and the future of the firearms industry.”
Each week, History of the Gun will showcase an iconic gun of the past, explore it's history, look at it's evolution to it's modern day form and get a peek at what's on the drawing board for its future. In addition to taking a look at history, it also means factory tours of modern day manufacturing facilities and fun on the range with these 21st century masterpieces.
“We're excited to have signed C Products Defense as Title Sponsor for the show,” say Rogers. “C Products Defense has become synonymous with quality and reliability throughout the shooting industry for their magazines that will not jam.”
“Right now we're living in an historic era,” comments C Products Defense president Adel Jamil. “With our modern day manufacturing technology, we're producing some magnificent firearms and accessories but it's always great to take a moment and look at the past. History has a way of humbling and teaching us some valuable lessons. These iconic firearm pioneers were brilliant in their designs and what they had to overcome. We're very proud to be part of this exciting series.”
History of the Gun will air to a national and international audience of over 63 million viewers, with over 35 million viewers in the United States, 14 million viewers in Canada, 12 million in Europe and 2 million viewers in the Middle East.
