‘Ballad of LaVoy Finicum’ Offers Tribute and Support for Slain Advocate’s Family

Jordan Page’s “The Ballad of LaVoy Finnicum” should be a wake-up call for all Americans of good faith. (JordanPage / Facebook photos)

USA – -(Ammoland.com)-  “I wanted to reach out because I am about to release a new single ‘The Ballad of LaVoy Finicum’ on 11/26,” musician, composer, singer and songwriter Jordan Page tells me via email. “I wrote it for the rancher who was killed by federal agents three years ago in connection with the Bundy occupation of the refuge in Oregon.”

I’m interested in helping spread the word for two reasons.

First because I believe Page is a first-rate musical artist with a profound voice for liberty who merits a lot more exposure. I did what little I could to promote his “Arm Yourselves” a few years back because I believe it is the best and most inspirational pro-RKBA song I’ve ever heard. I don’t just say that – there are some patriotic efforts out there I can’t endorse because I find their messages and execution too heavy-handed, preachy and “not ready for prime time.”

Not with Page’s stuff. The guy is a pro and he’s good, and I don’t just say that because I agree with his sentiments. I won’t give phony compliments, because I will not recommend something I don’t find truly worthy – that would make any future endorsements suspect.

My second reason is – and I realize many Americans are divided on the Malheur occupation – all the evidence of tampering and official lies following Finicum’s shooting death at the hands of ambushing FBI agents ought to concern all Americans of good faith regardless of any other considerations. A government that allows its functionaries to get away with that is a government that will allow and encourage it to happen again.

The song is being released Monday, Nov. 26.

The song “was written the night Finicum was murdered by federal agents in January 2016,” Page’s email reveals. “It stands as a testament to LaVoy’s life, and will be featured in ‘Dead Man Talking,’ an upcoming documentary series about him produced by the Center for Self Governance. Jordan has committed 50% of the proceeds from the sales of this song to the Finicum family to support them and their legal battles toward justice for LaVoy.”

You can click on this link to purchase both versions of the single. I hope liberty advocates see the value in encouraging positive efforts by our friends, especially with the prevailing media rewarding those working against our interests.

Hey Tim brown, grow the other half of your brain. “He was shot in the back. That’s murder”. Only a moron would make that statement. Force Science, do your research.

Wild Bill

@Jambo, Murder is a conclusion that can not be gotten to on the basis of one fact (e.g. the dead person was shot in the back.) The prosecutor must prove each and every element that particular state’s homicide statute. Then there is the Defense’s presentation of justification via self defense, for the jury to consider.

Under the 1946 Federal Tort Claims Act, a federal employee has a license to kill, unless a superior ordered him not to kill – and the superior has an incentive not to give such an order.

Wild Bill

@jh45gun, the FTCA only protects the federal employee if the AUSA chooses to apply the act. Application of the FTCA is not automatic and the employee can not force the AUSA to defend him via the FTCA. Nor does the FTCA apply as a defense to criminal allegation. So there is no federal employee license to misbehave.

The 9mm the Feds said was LaVoy’s was a stolen gun in the Portland area, so they claimed back then. I think the evidence suggests it was planted. I don’t believe LaVoy would have taken into possession stolen merchandise with all that was going on at the refuge. There is not a righteous shoot on the planet where a man is observed from the rear supposedly groping for a gun then shot from the rear for it. The cop who had a front view came from the woods with a Taser, and not a pistol. As soon as LaVoy stopped… Read more »

@"MCCLOUD!", “… keep your big yap securely shut…” Really? That from a Second Amendment supporter, like … well … yourself? I know that you don’t mean it.

Taj

Murdered? Geez, all Finicum had to do was stop at the road block instead of trying to “run” it. Then all he had to do was NOT reach for the pistol he had under his coat, which he plainly seen doing in the video. To the best of my recollection, he was shot by a local cop, not a federal agent. Everything Finicum did led to his own demise. No matter how you feel about their position, he was not murdered. All he had to do was obey the cops commands and he’d be around for his day in court.

tim brown

Yes, he was. He was shot in the back. That’s murder. The cops could have arrested these guys anytime they were in town. This goes way beyond your bubble reality. The oregon governor up to the usurper in chief had knowledge of all of this and they called the shots. The fact that you defend such police state mentality demonstrates you are a traitor yourself. https://thewashingtonstandard.com/valerie-jarrett-order-hit-lavoy-finicum/

Taj

Mr. Brown,
You are as brain washed one way as you claim I am the other. I’m not a traitor. 30 years in the military fighting bad guys so idiots like you can flap your pie-hole makes me a realist. Guys like you, who’s only ability is to repeat one sided rhetoric wouldn’t know a traitor if he crapped in your mouth. Being an anti government 2nd Amendment supporter obviously doesn’t make you smart.

Justin

That pistol was planted by OSP or fbi, it was stolen in Portland a year prior. Murder and coverup by the feds who tried to get those in the truck to shoot so they had reason to kill them all. Lavoy was just a naive rancher who had no idea the scum he was dealing with in the HRT.

Clark Kent ? I know yo are not Superman, because, I know him personally !. Advising Dave to “keep his yak shut” is probably advise that he neither wants nor will accept !. During this past year I was content in my knowledge that I had finally met the stupidest person on this planet, when, I learned who Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was, But, I was really saddened on November 06, 2018 when, I seen how many more people there were stupider than her, who voted for her !! Depositions against a stacked deck will get you nothing, but more trouble… Read more »

Just so you can add to your own intelligence, “stupider” is not a word. And “I saw”, not I seen. When you challenge someone’s smarts do it smartly.

Clark Kent

Dave: So you were at the scene and are privy to all of the facts of the case? Better let the authorities know you were a witness so you can give a deposition. If not, keep your big yap securely shut, as there are two sides to any story.

tim brown

So you were there too, clark kent? you should keep your trap shut too. I know people on both sides and it’s clear, especially after the Bundy’s were acquitted of ALL the charges against them. You really should get another job besides trolling.

tim brown

Neither were you, but since the Bundy’s and those who stood with them were acquitted of ALL charges, I can assume you just don’t want the facts to get in the way of your idolatry of the state.
