Recently, I was in Temecula for the grand opening of the Mighty Oaks Foundation’s national training headquarters. I would urge you all to check out the Might Oaks Foundation, and its founder Chad Robichaux. There is no other organization in the United States that is a faith-based military and veterans support organization. The mission of the Mighty Oaks Foundation is “to serve and restore our nation’s warriors and families, who have endured hardship through their service to America, and to help them find a new life purpose through hope in Christ and our resiliency and peer-to-peer recovery programs.”
I am honored to serve on the Might Oaks Advisory Board with five other distinguished American warriors from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force. This organization’s mission to aid our veterans, and families, who are hurting is honorable, exceptional, and admirable.
Sadly, one cannot say the same thing about the imbecilic governor of the state of California, Gavin Newsom.

“California will soon make history as the state is set to become the first in the nation to give free healthcare to some illegal immigrants. Gov. Gavin Newsom and Democrats in the state legislature reached an agreement to allow low-income individuals between the ages of 19 and 25 who are in the country illegally to be eligible for Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program. “While it’s not all we sought, it will provide a real tangible difference for people, especially for those around and below poverty and for middle income families who don’t get any help under the federal law,” said Anthony Wright, executive director of advocacy group Health Access, Fox News reports. About 90,000 people will qualify for the measure, which is part of a $213 billion budget deal. It is expected to cost roughly $98 million per year.
Under the agreement, a family of four earning more than $150,000 would be eligible to receive about $100 a month from the government for their monthly health insurance premium bills, AP reported. The state will reportedly tax individuals who do not pay for health insurance in order to pay for part of it. The policy would revive an individual mandate penalty that initially came with the federal health care bill former President Obama signed into law. (The Hill)”
We know about the previous egregious actions of NYC to offer free college to illegal immigrants, but not to Gold Star families. These examples of disrespect to our veterans should not be tolerated.
To think that Gov. Newsom would offer free healthcare to any illegal immigrant, yet make no offer to assist our veterans with their healthcare needs is unconscionable. I don’t think it would take $90M to make a difference for our veterans and military service men and women who are suffering and struggling from the incessant combat deployments we have asked them to conduct. But, what is also highly disrespectful is that Newsom would seek to tax law-abiding citizens of the Golden State to fund this illegal folly. What Newsom is doing is using taxation as a means to penalize individuals who are doing nothing more than exercising their own freedom of choice.
This is how the progressive socialist left rolls, people. They will coerce, intimidate, threaten, and mandate their tyranny in order to achieve their ideological agenda. I believe that the citizens of California would have no issue with an increase in taxation to support our veterans. But using taxation as a weapon against legal citizens to support illegal immigrants, tell me, what part of that is Constitutional or legal?
If the individual mandate has been repealed by federal law, can a state, lawfully, implement it on American citizens? I would tend to believe there will be a class action lawsuit against Newsom along those lines.
Regardless, once again, we see who is prioritized by the progressive socialist left. Remember, they said little to nothing about the failing VA healthcare system. Socialist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently remarked that there was nothing wrong with the VA healthcare system.
I have a simple question for all the progressive socialists who troll this website: illegal immigrants or veterans?
We know you will not answer, but your actions tell us all we need to know.

They put illegals above citizens in my state. They taught Muslims to fly the military flags of our country out front so they can blend in. California is the development laboratory for the SDNC (the “S” stands for Socialist in Socialist Democrat National Committee). The SDNC wants and needs to develop more government dependents who will vote Socialist Democrat forever. Veterans do not serve the DNC’s needs.
