The 5th Day of Christmas by Bloomberg & Beto-Backed Texas Lawmakers

Texas State Capitol NRA-ILA
Texas State Capitol NRA-ILA

On the Fifth Day of Christmas, Anti-Gun Reps Gave to Thee: Local Gun Control

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- NRA-ILA is counting down the legislative lumps of coal that anti-Second Amendment lawmakers in Texas are leaving in gun owners’ stockings this year.

The 2021 Texas legislative session is less than a month away. Please support NRA-ILA as we work with gun owners to STAND YOUR GROUND on your Second Amendment rights at the Capitol in Austin next year!

Next up: House Bill 238 by Rep. Terry Meza (D-Irving), which repeals the state firearms preemption law, allowing cities and counties to regulate guns and ammunition in any manner they see fit.

Municipalities like Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio could be free to enact gun bans, magazine limits, licensing and registration schemes, and prohibitions on carrying firearms on your person or in your car. Only five states — CT, HI, MA, NJ & NY, all bastions of gun control — have no preemption protection. Preemption ensures uniformity in state gun laws so that honest citizens aren’t subject to confusing and conflicting local restrictions or denied their Second Amendment rights based on where they live, work or travel.

The importance of preemption was highlighted back in March during the early stages of COVID-19, as city and county officials adopted emergency orders closing most businesses, including gun stores. Attorney General Ken Paxon ruled in Opinion No. KP-0296 that these local orders could not regulate or restrict the sale of firearms, and he relied heavily on Texas’ firearms preemption statute in his opinion.

NRA-ILA has worked nearly every legislative session to improve Texas’ firearms preemption law and further protect your rights. We will oppose any attempt to repeal or weaken it in the 2021 legislative session.

It’s ALWAYS the big cities favoring preemption of a higher authority. The progressives move in because it’s such a great place to live then turn it into the same garbage heap that they just left. Do America a favor and stay in Ca,NY.NJ,Ma,Ct,Or,Wa,RI,Co,Md you’ve made these states so wonderful people can’t wait to leave.

After the nra boned Texas on Constitutional Carry, they can go jump off a cliff.
And if you think that they really care about your rights, they’re dead silent on the Polymer 80 and the company that was raided today.
Their own words on gun control…

Z… while I agree that there is a lot of, uh, “bravado” spoken here (and on other conservative sites), there are a huge number of patriots around the country who are indeed prepared to act, if/when necessary.

PS It’s the quiet ones who will respond at the proper time.

In GEORGIA, Rats-ass-berger is stealing the senate election for the democrats. 83,000 new democrat only voters were registered to vote in the runoff…IN A DAY! Rats-ass-berger is letting them vote even though state law says ONLY those that voted in the original vote can vote in runoff. He is making Republicans stay 100 feet away from all vote counting. Rats-ass-berger allowing mail in votes and all manner of things favoring the communist democrats. So, WHERE ARE THE PATRIOTS? You snivelling weasels always talk a good fight but inaction wins every time. You whine you must have guns to stop government… Read more »

This gutless site now “approves” dissenting facts and comment. Too funny.
Zuckerberg must be so proud.

That is because it is SO VERY easy to put BCM “Gunfighter” parts on your AR and talk tough on the internet. But actual effort to keep America free? Never! Americans are mere amoeba compared to the Founding Fathers, in intellect, spine, action and Honor (a word unknown to most Americans). In Georgia we see 83,000 democrat only voters registered IN ONE DAY! In Georgia, Republicans MUST stay 100 feet away from all vote counting. In Georgia, Mail in votes are illegal by state law, but Stacey Abrams already has 1.5 million mail in democrat votes. The worms on this… Read more »

Outside forces like Bloomberg and an alarming rate of UK influencer’s on social media are behind this rampant unconstitutionalism! It’s time to dismantle the ATF and enforce Article VI upon our tyrant autocratic Democrat leadership!

Yes, he is still president and he can still give the BATFE orders.

Just like they followed his order to ban bump stocks, they will follow his order to stand down on their efforts to narrow the definition of 80% pistol frames and pistol braces. But he has to give the order.

It would refreshing if the Republican Representatives we elected (especially those who ran largely pro-2nd Amendment platforms) would speak up and encourage the President to give the order.

He’s got enough space to make a phone call – it would take one minute.

He’s done plenty of good things and we all realize the establishment Republicans hate him as much as the Democrats/Socialists/Communists.

Defending him when he is off course is just odd.

If he isn’t listening to a written request from GOA, I don’t think he will listen to me.

Well of course he is. Every federal agency in Washington ultimately reports to him.

There are a dozen people on this board who do not understand that the BATFE reports to him.

All of this anti-constitutional boiler place is not a product of Texans serving Texans. This boiler plate is the product of well funded NGOs from outside of Texas attempting to dictate to Texans. Just Say No.
