Gear Review: Danner Recurve Moc Toe Boots

I don't normally gush over a product in a Product Review but my new DANNER RECURVE MOC TOE BOOTS are the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn, hands down.

U.S.A.-(AmmoLand.com)- I recently tested a pair of Danner Recurve Moc Toe boots. Wow! Out of the box they were the most comfortable pair of boots that I’ve ever worn. They’re more comfortable than a pair of old tennis shoes. As I write this Product Review, I’m trying to determine what makes them so comfortable. As I thought about it, it’s not that complicated.

Danner Recurve Moc Toe Boots

First off, I think all of my hunting, hiking, and backpacking boots only have two hook eyelets. The Danner Recurve Moc Toe boots have four! This allows you to open the throat of the boot-up super wide so you can slide your foot into the boot with zero effort. Setting at your computer reading this Product Review I don’t know if you can appreciate this feature enough. I can’t tell you how nice this is and it makes me wonder why more boot companies don’t follow suit. This is a huge deal.

The second feature that makes them so comfortable is how light that they are. A pair only weighs 45 ounces. That’s not even 1 ½ lb. per boot. I work in a rough environment and wear heavy-duty leather boots all day. I work 10-11 hour days and by the time I get home my feet and legs are dead tired. I take off my heavy work boots and slip these on to go out to dinner and they’re so light that I feel like that I’m running around barefoot. I can’t tell you how refreshing that is.

They have some aggressive Vibram soles, so they will be great for hunting, hiking, and backpacking but so far, I haven’t been able to force myself to wear them for these three purposes. Why? Because they are so nice looking. I’ve been wearing them running around town and to Church. They double as a nice-looking casual wear boot. I planned on wearing them hardcore outdoors but they are so nice looking that I haven’t been able to force myself to do so as of yet.

I know I said this at the first of this article but I can’t believe how comfortable these boots are. I’m wearing them non-stop now. A while back I wrote an article on the need to slowly break in a pair of boots but I’m not too sure that you need to break these in, they’re that comfortable.

I normally don’t like taller boots. I don’t know if they bother my ankles or what but they bother me. These are 7-inch tall boots and yet they are super comfortable. And being that they’re 7-inches tall they provide for good ankle support.

They aren’t insulated so I will probably only be wearing them from March through December. But the Danner Recurves (Which are very similar to these boots) do have 400 gr. of Thinsulate so they would allow you to wear them in colder weather.

I don’t normally gush over a product this much in a Product Review but the Danner Recurve Moc Toe boots blew my socks off. I love them. The MSRP on the Danner Recurve Moc Toe boots is $200.00 and as is usual, we will close with the specs.

You lost me at “imported”. Danner has quite a few U.S. Made boots with similar or better performance. MAGA. Buy American.
