It was refreshing to hear a report in proper Castilian (except for the use of “colegio” to describe a college, since colegio usually means grades 1 through 12, or a professional organization, such as Colegio de Cirujanos)). I have shunned Spanish-language TV and radio, since today’s commentators usually resort to barbarisms and Anglicisms in what we call “Spanglish.” If I watch a football (soccer) match on one of the Spanish-language stations, I turn off the sound. BTW, I had no idea that Larry Pratt was so eloquent in Castilian!
