shotlock-logoU.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- ShotLock, the manufacturer of the ShotLock Solo-Vault line of individual home defense firearm safes for the Shotgun, Handgun, and AR platform, announced today the release of its newest Solo-Vault for Handguns, the QuickDrawer 200M.

The QuickDrawer 200M builds upon the success of the Handgun 200 Series. While the Handgun 200 Series opens using a hinged clamshell design, the QuickDrawer uses a spring-assisted drawer opening which can be accessed very quickly.

This allows the QuickDrawer to be used in situations where vertical space is at a premium. The smooth, spring-assisted drawer can be sprung open by a simple push anywhere on the drawer face and once pressed allows quick access to your home defense handgun. The QuickDrawer also features 3 internal locking points, a felt lining, and can easily be mounted under or on top of any flat surface using the provided mounting plate. It uses our patented 200M 8 button mechanical lock.

The QuickDrawer has been in development for nearly two years, and went through several revisions. The end result is simple to use, very secure drawer system that secures your home defense firearms and/or personal valuables.

“After the success of our Handgun line in 2014, we wanted to expand our product offerings in this market, and hopefully offer something unique that isn’t widely available.” said Ryan Thornburg, Sales Coordinator. “The end result is a product that is very easy to use, unique, while maintaining the level of security, quality and innovation that the ShotLock brand has become known for.”

I will say the idea of a triple bolt locking system is getting a little better, but, there’s always a but from a locksmith point of view the first thing he looks at is the lock and does it require a destructive entry or non destructive entry? Since I cant see the lock and they show no keys i’m going to assume that they put a low dollar lock on their high dollar box. That will keep a good majority of honest people out but crooks are not. As far as the 14gauge steel you can call it what you… Read more »

No low dollar lock on these units. Immediately sent to locksmiths for picking, raking and drilling…all passed with flying colors. Both mechanical and electro mechanical locks were developed with the user in mind with an eye towards quick, easy access…not for the would be thief however. We developed this lock after displeasure with the Kaba and Illinois Lock versions we had been using and have many great testimonials from folks who have had attempts made on breaking into these units.
