Gun-Grabber Charged with Murder Reminiscent of Others

Just the Democrat politician to help enact citizen disarmament edicts… (Kellie Collins for Congress/Aiken County Detention Center)

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- “The former Georgia congressional candidate accused of killing her husband and campaign treasurer in Aiken County had been married to him only eight days before he is believed to have been shot,” The Augusta Chronicle reported Friday. “[Kellie Lynne] “Collins was made the beneficiary of [victim Curt] Cain’s insurance about two to three weeks before his death.”

What kind of politician would covet money they had no claim to and resort to what they call “gun violence”?

In this case a doctrinaire Democrat — and one that “backed gun control.”

Collins’ campaign website went dark last year and the Internet Archive/Wayback Machine capture never saved the contents of her “Issues” page, but a July 5, 2017 report in the Athens Banner-Herald noted:

“Positions outlined on Collins’ website include support for … ‘responsible’ gun regulation to ‘(e)nsure a more careful monitoring process in gun sales from both retailers and private dealers to protect all parties involved and shield the community from the effects of firearms falling into the wrong hands;’”

Another set of “wrong hands” was also in the news recently.

“Mary Jo Buttafuoco was willing to forgive her husband’s teenage mistress who brutally shot her in the head — but the decision was far from simple,” Fox News reported Saturday. “The 63-year-old revisited the infamous 1992 case of Amy Fisher, who was coined “the Long Island Lolita” by the press…”

“I am looking forward to devoting my time and energy to as many organizations as I can that are trying to keep guns out of the hands of minors,” prohibited person Fisher was quoted by CBS News from a Long Island Press article she wrote, back in the days after prison but before she tried her…uh… hand at promoting a sex tape. Here’s what she had to say about the right to keep and bear arms in one of her columns:

There is no positive aspect to having assault weapons available for the buying public. No one needs an AK-47 for home protection. The government says it’s dedicated to fighting the war on terrorism, but it’s letting this bill die. Imagine the damage that terrorists living in this country could do with assault weapons. Is the government protecting homeowners? Hunters? Hunters don’t need an Uzi to shoot deer.

Assault weapons were designed for military use. If a law-abiding citizen has such a yearning to possess one of these weapons, then let that person join the Marines.

The cognitive dissonance is hardly limited to these two.

Earlier this year we took a look at some anti-gunners that included a school shooter, two “straw purchasers” for the Columbine killers, two Million Mom March members (one the president of the Springfield, IL chapter), Fisher, and one of the Columbine killers who had advocated “A school is no place for a gun.” And there are plenty more violent “anti-violence advocates” where they came from.

Yes, these are anecdotal, but there’s something to be said for the supposition that these misfits are projecting. They know they can’t be trusted with a gun so they presume you can’t be either. Otherwise, that would mean the problem was not with your rights but within them.

Better to blame NRA and pass another law, right?

The Left is comprised of idiots and brsin-dead ‘Zombie’ followers. No disrespect to normal Zombies intended…

Personally, I’ve had enough of this shiite…

If this waste-of-human-skin socialist cuckoo-clock does not like gun-owners’ (and in particular, MY) approach to life… if she is too damnably rock-stupid to understand the difference between The Bill of Rights and A Bill of Needs… then she is welcome to just bounce her happy, worthless ass out this building’s nearest exit!! And don’t stop moving until she hits Venezuela’s sunny shores (I’ll help her with directions and motivation, if she requires it… anything to ride the gene pool of her).

Wild Bill

@Joe US, True, but now she is of use to us.

As I recall, Hitler said that if a person wanted to use firearms, they should join the SS. I guess this logic sounds right to tyrants both big and small.

Gregory Romeu

But what she doesn’t understand is that end of millions of us actually did join the military, many of us the Marines. It’s not our fault that the Marine Corps taught us nasty habits and got us addicted to the smell of burnt gunpowder?

By the same logic, why don’t these people call for abolishing the first amendment and not allowing people to freely read or post their thoughts online when child predators use the internet to recruit children? Should we take away the freedom of the press to give opinions about politicians due to the Bernie Sanders supporter shooting up a baseball field trying to kill several Republican congressmen? Or another crazed leftist who cowardly attacked a sitting us senator from behind? Or should we restrict the power of the media as a result of the many, many false and misleading reports the… Read more »

you ask some good COMMON SENSE QUESTIONS ON THIS.
but you must know LEFTIST CAN’T HANDLE EITHER COMMON SENSE, OR FACTS.

This is what banning free speech looks like:

In short, anyone or any government banning free speech is a dictatorship. Trudeau has crossed into that position. We MUST fight for our freedoms and liberties against anyone who would do the same.

Douglas Kuykendall

Well wouldn’t that be the same with trying to ban firearms, and anything associated with firearms. That would be in your words a dictator government.Just wanted to see if we are on the same page.

Tionico

Yup. And THIS is why Article of Amendment Number One is instantly followed by Article of Amendment Number Two.

They make a great pair when preserved. When either is removed, or quashed, dictatorship ensues very quickly.

We are on the edge in both counts.

I had not heard this putative congresscritter’s little chicane of getting his life insurance to name her as beneficiary, then offing him two weeks later.

Looks like Murder One, one count, and barratry, insurance fraud, some such thing, one count.

Seems the quality of folks running for office these days has badly deteriorated.
