Alien Gear Holsters Introduces New Take on the Classic Shoulder Holster

POST FALLS, Idaho-(Ammoland.com)- Alien Gear Holsters has taken a classic concealed carry position and made it more comfortable and durable than ever before.

Shoulder carry is one of the most popular carry styles among concealed carriers, and with good reason—it’s convenient to conceal under a jacket and keeps your firearm easily accessible. Many of the shoulder holsters on the market are bulky, and the leather they are made from break down over time. Alien Gear Holsters designed their new ShapeShift Shoulder Holster to utilize ultra-slim injection-molded Shift Shells, and crafted them out of CoolVent neoprene and
English Bridle Leather for durability and comfort.

“The Shoulder Holster offers an innovative approach to the classic shoulder holster where the classic leather look is kept, but it’s improved with additional modern materials,” Alien Gear Holsters’ mechanical engineer Igor Shirobokov said.

The ShapeShift Shoulder Holster is completely customizable, offering three optional retention devices and the choice between carrying one firearm, two firearms, or one firearm and two spare magazines.

The ShapeShift Shoulder Holster and Shoulder Carry Expansion Pack are both backed by Alien Gear Holsters’ Forever Warranty and 30-day Test Drive.

Looks like someone facing the wearer and standing close could draw it more easily and faster than the wearer could. I’d like to read more about the retention devices.

If you are counting on a “quick draw” to save your bacon in a lethal confrontation, you will almost always come in 2nd place. It’s important to recognize the “signs” as threat levels accumulate or escalate, and prepare accordingly. That means evaluating cover and escape routes, and if necessary to utilize deadly force, knowing that the best carry position in these cases is in your shootin’ hand. That’s what 30+ years of LEO experience taught me.

The picture, most likely done by a advertising person who has never held a gun, shows a draw in which the gun will sweep the off-side arm. This is the issue most people have with shoulder carry. That off side arm needs to be out of the way, like held high, or the gun needs to be drawn pointing downward, awkward to say the least. And you must use this carry concealed or everybody you muzzle as you walk around with the gun holstered will be complaining that you are pointing a gun at them, which, strictly speaking, you are.… Read more »

Arguably the slowest draw with the greatest number of drawbacks. Shoulder rigs are comfortable but present innumerable other problems.

Best shoulder holster made! It can be adjusted to fit any sized person. I’m a big man and it fits me perfectly!
