Hugo, MN – -(AmmoLand.com)- JP Enterprises announces the release of its new Agency Rifle Program for law enforcement. This program builds on years of successful support for police departments and agencies across the United States. Now, JP is pleased to offer budget-conscious rifle options to bring signature JP quality and reliability within reach of the officers who need it most.

The agency rifle program comprises duty-focused carbine configurations:

  • .223/5.56 NATO carbines optimal for patrol rifles or SWAT team use with short-barrel and select-fire options available
  • 9mm SBRs ideal for replacement of the obsolete pistol-caliber platforms, available with optional select fire, integrated sound suppression, and dual top- and side-charge systems for operators of any background

Models in both calibers are available at three price/option tiers to meet the needs and budgets of any agency or department. Similar offerings for sniper systems in .308 Win. are also forthcoming.

The product of collaboration with JP’s many law enforcement partners and resources, this rifle lineup prioritizes platform reliability and accuracy. This serves the true objective of officer and bystander safety while minimizing agency liability in the event of an officer-involved shooting.

While designed for mass adoption, rifles in this program are built by the same certified JP technicians using the same quality JP components as any other premium JP rifle. JP is also committed to support to its law enforcement partners. Part of this program includes priority law enforcement technical assistance and complementary armorer’s certification courses to participating agencies/departments.

“If there’s one concern we’ve heard loud and clear from law enforcement, it’s the difficulties for both officer and department even in the case of a ‘good shoot,’” says JP founder and head of product development, John Paul. “We only want to offer a rifle that can mitigate as much of that risk as possible. Through the refined reliability of our components and build process, we’re confident in what our duty rifles can offer.”

I think that most state pay for there officer weapon at this time, so they can carry class 3 weapon the US Government
dose and in most state you cant get one .So if this a common AR15 or 9MM then what the point they ? Look a Calf. they can get thing you and can,t and they will tell you that real quick ! that just my to cents.

Evrything’s affordable, with tax-payer dollars..

Most of the LEO’s I know, build their own AR’s & qualify with them for their own use while on duty. Therefore, except for the duty belt sidearm, taxpayer dollars are not paid for the exotic expensive firearms that you imply.

I’m calling BS. Every LEO I know who uses a AR on duty uses the weapon the department has paid for or has an allowance. They also get 50-200 rounds per weapon depending on which agency.
MOST department wont let you use a weapon that isnt on their approved list. So much for “exotic weapons”. Most wont let you carry a 1911.

So you are against officers defending themselves against rifle toting suspects? Grow up.
