Ruger Security 9 Pistol

Read AmmoLand News’s recent review of the Ruger Security 9 Pistol online and checkout the solid features.

All New Security-9 from Ruger
Ruger will be providing Security-9 pistols for a “Close Quarters Combat” range instruction led by Glen Stilson, United States Army Veteran and Owner and Head Instructor of Independence Training.
  • Compact for easy concealment, the Security-9® is designed to fit a variety of available holsters.
  • Rugged construction with blued, through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame.
  • Precision-machined, hard-coat anodized aluminum chassis with full-length guide rails.
  • The Secure Action used in the LCP® II and Security-9® is derived from the reliable and proven hammer-fired LCP® fire control system. The Secure Action combines the smooth trigger pull of the LCP® with the short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action.
  • Textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip.
  • Dovetailed, high-visibility sight system with drift adjustable rear sight and fixed front sight. Sights can be easily changed out for different color options (available separately).
  • Internal, Secure Action hammer provides strong ignition force, yet allows for easier slide racking when compared with many striker-fired pistols. Front cocking serrations enable positive slide manipulation.
  • Safety features include integrated trigger safety; external manual safety; neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension; and hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled.
  • Safe, easy takedown with no special tools or trigger pull required.
  • Also includes: two alloy steel magazines.

Ruger PC Carbine with M-LOK handguard.

Ruger Announces Six New PC Carbine Models
Ruger Announces Six New PC Carbine Models

Read AmmoLand New’s recent review of the Ruger PC Carbine with M-LOK handguard and find out why the early cowboys had it all right.

  • CNC-milled handguard that is Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum for maximum durability, with Magpul® M-LOK® accessory attachment slots on all four sides for easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible rails and accessories.
  • Interchangeable magazine wells for use of common Ruger® and Glock® magazines. Ships with SR-Series™/Security-9® pistol magazine well installed and an additional magazine well accepting Glock® magazines is included*. Ruger American® Pistol magazine wells are available at ShopRuger.com.
  • Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
  • Dead blow action features a custom tungsten dead blow weight that shortens bolt travel and reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise. Bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability.
  • Reversible magazine release and reversible charging handle to support ambidextrous use or one-handed control manipulation while maintaining a proper firing grip*.
  • Cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. The heavy contour barrel provides consistent accuracy, while barrel fluting sheds unnecessary weight and allows for quick handling.
  • Threaded barrel with included thread protector allows for use of standard muzzle accessories.
  • Accurate sighting system with adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight and non-glare, protected blade front sight.
  • Soft rubber buttpad with spacers allows the rifle to be properly sized for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear or defensive gear (three, 1/2″ spacers included).
  • Durable, glass-filled nylon synthetic buttstock features a proprietary texture for enhanced control and an integral sling mount for rapid sling attachment .
  • Light, crisp trigger pull with minimal overtravel and positive reset utilizing proven 10/22® trigger components.
  • CNC-machined from an aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum billet, the receiver includes an integrated Picatinny rail and is Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability.
  • Also includes: one, SR-Series™ pistol magazine and hex wrenches for rear sight adjustment, buttpad spacer adjustment and charging handle removal.

14… missed a couple of days.
Was running some practice drills at the range over the weekend. With my 20 lb spring upgrade my sec 9 runs sweet. Dusted off my P95 and damn that gun shoots wild compared to the sec 9.

Love Ruger products.. great value and warranty…

I have 10 Ruger’s of different calipers and styles, The last one was a Birthday gift to my son as he is getting ready to start teaching the Grand Kids to shoot, which is good. I was going to send one of mine to him until I gt the pricing from FFL dealers along with the shipping charges, it would have cost me 1/2 again what the gun cost new, so the trick was set in motion by having my son give me the FFL dealer that he dealt with, a couple of phone calls, one 10/22 take-down ordered and… Read more »

Ruger firearms are the best thing around. Dependable and well made in the USA. I’ve never experienced a mechanical problem with a ruger, only one cosmetic problem with bluing on a reciever. Customer service was excellent and the problem was fixed at no cost to me. Will definitely be a loyal river owner for years to come.

Leon

Ruger firearms is one of the best and most reliable firearms on the market today

Joshua Castillo

Excited for the winning deal!!!

Peter Bagnod

I love Rugar products. My first rifle was a 10/22. It’s one of the most fun rifles I’ve ever shoot. I also have a PC carbine. I love that my glock magazine’s are compatible. I would love to have one the up up grades with the M lol hand grip. They really look amazing. Thanks for the chance to win one of the upgrades.

Harry

I purchased the Ruger American Ranch bolt action rifle in 7.62×39. I owned a AR-15 which I then sold and purchased the Ruger Mini-30 in 7.62×39. Why? Their magazines are interchangeable. Whoever heard of a bolt action rifle with a 10, 20 or 30 round magazine? That is why! Put a fine scope on it and shoot all afternoon.

Tim Johnson

Own several Rugers, LPC, Mini 14, 10/22, and can’t wait to be the owner of another 2.

Dan

I’s a big fan of Ruger firearms. I have 33 and many are new old stock that remain unfired in my collection. They are a great company with great people. I had the chance to tour their facility in NH a few years ago and it was an amazing experience.

Michael

Awesome combination and great to have two firearms with the same caliber.

Dick Bosma

I own. A40th anniversary Ruger pistol & a stainless 1- 5000 Ruger pistol & anew unfired Bearcat. 22. Ruger&Ruger 30 – 06 rifle I just like Ruger OK?

Martin Olson

Bought a 10/22 when I was 18 and a Mark II in my twenties. Both still work flawless. I’m 57 now.

Chris brannen

I just bought the original PCC in tan before I realized there’s one with mlok rails as well as the sr9 compact would love to win the sr9 original and mlok PCC

Joseph Senko

Have a Ruger MK1, still accurate. Had a P89, Blackhawk which I sold to get a Redhawk. My P89 was my duty weapon and it was very accurate. My son got it. The Redhawk I traded for a 1911A1 Colt. Big mistake. The MK1 will go to my grandson.

Chuck Yice

Love my Ruger American preditor 308. Withe the PC 9 L am well rounded.

james powers

I own two 10/22 rifles and a mini-14. Would love the have the new PC carbine if it would take the M&P magazines.

Richard Pearson

Cook County, Illinois and Aurora are the only two places you can’t possess the PC Carbine and the Illinois State Rifle Association is challenging those bans in court. The Wilson v Cook County case is in the Seventh Circuit now.

Kirk Chen

Would love this set!

Roger Schoenfelder

I own over 10 Rugers including my first handgun that I purchased in 1965, a Single Six. Love them all.

Phil in TX

I bought my first Ruger, a Mark I .22 pistol, in 1972 after I got my first real job. I still have it and it shoots great. I have had to replace the original mag, but that’s it. I also have a Single-Six, and it’s another good gun. Besides those two I have 10 others. All are fine firearms.

Phil in TX

Tim

I am 100% RUGERHOLIC ! I cleaned out my old collection and now I only have RUGER Firearms.

Greg

Great articles, hope I win.

Curtis L Bolick

Love some Ruger guns.

JOSHUA PALASZ

I enjoy shooting the 10/22 takedown, including the sr22 real treat especially since I got huge hands.. The security 9 my friend has does have a pretty good trigger, would enjoy owning one myself.. the PC carbine I rented at the local shooters world, it’s like a laser.. Wonder if soon you’d make one for .45 acp? Mainly because it’s in 9mm and .40sw; plus it’s hard to find a pistol carbine that fires the .45 acp that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg..

Rick Middlebrooks

Joshua, try the Hi-Point carbine in .45 ACP. They sell for around $270, more than $200 less than the Ruger PCC in 9mm, and they have 20 round mags available. Mine has been absolutely reliable and is very accurate.

Rick

Luke Rice

Would be a great add to my collection, and I like the fact that I can carry the same ammo for the pistol and carbine. Good luck to all who entered!

Bryan Fletcher

Need this winn

George Steven Jakubowicz

Between the Ruger and 9mm you can’t go wrong! Always liked both!

paul froehlich

have two rugers the 1022 and mk ll both are good guns amd cheap to shoot very accurate and good looking would love to own two more rugers in 9mm.

Don Panton

Well here we go with a Semi negative comment. I have already purchased a Ruger pc9 and absolutely love it it’s like a Ruger 10/22 on steroids and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My negative comment is I didn’t know I was purchasing a California compliant model and after I bought it tried to contact Ruger and they would not help me either change it or some another barrel so I can have one that was not compliant was California laws. I did find a gun smith to help me even if I don’t put a flash suppressor on… Read more »

‘Been loving Ruger’s precision ever since my first NRA show as a Boy Scout in D.C. when my Dad was at the Pentagon, back in the 50s.
I gravitated to the Ruger booth and picked up a Blackhawk for the first time……..’like I said, Precision.

Michael Evans

My first rifle was a Ruger 10/22. Now one of my grandsons is the proud owner of it. My first pistol was a Ruger 22 with a bull barrel. Loved both Guns. Now l have the SR 1911 in a 45cal best gun ever right out of the box. Yes l have a Modern. 77 in a 22 Hornet tuck away and what a beautiful rifle and shooter.

Patrick Lee

Bruce A Keough

That’s all I own are Ruger no complaints

Ronald

The 9mm is the only pistol round I shoot and have been wondering how I was ever going to be able to add the carbine to my toys, probably the only way is by being the winner of this great give away Good Luck to me. and you I guess

Tialin.:.

I’d love to win this. I haven’t been able to afford to replace the Beretta 92F that my stupid ex husband made off with. I really need a new gun and Rugers are awesome.
Good luck to everyone entered! (me too! Lol)

Albert Tacke

These would bridge the gap nicely between my 10/22 and Ruger Precision Rifle in 308. 🙂

John Schmidt

Great combination

The other Jim

“NOTE: Residents DC, CT, NJ, IL, MD, and NY may not be eligible to win. Take your complaints up with your local anti-gun lawmakers.”
Same as the last 3 raffles? No alternatives by now Ammoland? Why do you hate us because we are residents of DC, CT, NJ, IL, MD, and NY? Why do you assume we voted those lawmakers into office and seek retaliation against us?

Ron Toney

Thank you
