Appomattox Virginia now a 2A Sanctuary, Protecting Your Guns From Governor Northam

Virginia – -(AmmoLand.com)- 1. Virginia Citizens Defense League now has a model Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution for distribution!

  1. Another domino falls: Appomattox became a 2A Sanctuary tonight by unanimous vote!
  2. Action item: Franklin County – keep the pressure up!
  3. VCDL now has a model Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution for distribution!

1. Virginia Citizens Defense League now has a model 2A Sanctuary resolution that you can provide to interested counties, which have not already passed such a resolution.

As always with such things, there is room for improvement, but we simply don't have much time. Things are moving way too fast across the state. This resolution is solid, provides key protections, and makes a strong statement to the General Assembly.

It is a Microsoft Word document. All that needs to be done is to replace the county name (such as Chesterfield) and replace with the correct month and day (such as November 25).

See the embed below to download the resolution. If your county has not yet passed a 2A Sanctuary resolution, get a copy of the resolution to your Board of Supervisors member ASAP! Also, see AmmoLand News Second Amendment Sanctuary step by step guide found here.

2. Another domino falls: Appomattox became a 2A Sanctuary tonight by unanimous vote!

More good news! Appomattox County is now the latest Second Amendment Sanctuary in Virginia. Congratulations!

We now have FOUR sanctuaries and there are more are on the way this week. I can't wait to see where we are by the end of November!

3. Action item: Franklin County – keep the pressure up!

Keep the pressure up in Franklin County for becoming a 2A Sanctuary. Especially important is to contact Supervisors Cundiff and Thompson!

For Franklin County residents only. Include your name, address, and indicate your support for Franklin County becoming a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary as Carroll County, Charlotte County, and Campbell County have already done. Just click on the name to send an email to that person:

Congratulations to the four counties of Virginia that want to remain free. Let’s hope there is more so Mr. blackface can’t steamroll all these anti gun laws on the good people of Virginia. All gun owners need to go to the polls to vote.

@Tcat, I think that the concept is spreading. A county near here went 2A Sanctuary County, just the other day.

If these assholes can hold gun makers liable for any crime that their product was used in during the commission of a crime, then we should be able to hold them accountable for passing laws that not only work to create more victims, but ensure that there will be more victims. What they are trying to do is run roughshod down a one-way street of their own making. I say we paint another stripe on the damn thing, and make it a two-way street where turnabout is flair play. These are the same people that allow our schoolchildren to die… Read more »

Stay armed even if you have to be civilly disobedient to do so. Guns/ammo is a lot cheaper than a funeral. The next time someone gets murdered or assaulted because they were denied their GOD given, constitutionally protected right of self defense and/or their GOD given, constitutionally protected right to keep and bare arms someone should bring to justice those who legislated, judged or enforced a/the laws that restricted that person and the public as a whole. Murder and assault by proxy are still murder and assault. Beyond that, committing treason by disavowing their oath of office to the nation,… Read more »

Unless there is a metal detector I have to pass through or I choose to enter a Police station, I carry. And since I don’t consume alcohol, drinking establishments are not part of the equation. Well, except for one, and I can guarantee it would never be a problem there.

Like you I don’t consume alcohol, and haven’t since 1995 when I quit smoking. I couldn’t quit the one, without letting go of the other. Like you, my weapon goes with me everywhere I go, to include Wal-Mart. If a sign is posted “No firearms allowed” I take my business elsewhere. I have no reason whatsoever in wanting to make myself a soft target. In situations like this Murphy’s Law is sure to make itself known by dealing out providence when you least expect it. It’s what it does. And, at the worst possible moment. For me, I’m a lead… Read more »
