Olbermann Unwittingly Demonstrates Importance of Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Not that he’d have the guts to try that with a hat worn by a MAGA supporter. What do you think he’d like to do with those scissors to the Constitution? (Keith Olbermann/Facebook)

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Prosecute them all!” Former ESPN and MSNBC talking head Keith Olbermann demanded in a Tuesday YouTube video. “We want the prison so filled with Trumps and Trump flunkies and Trump apologists and Trump enablers, that we have to convert Trump buildings into new [redacted] Trump prisons.”

“When the policy differences are between maintaining American democracy and substituting racist one-party rule, you’re [redacted] right that we want to criminalize policy differences that might exist between the outgoing administration and the administration that is about to take over,” Olbermann continued. “We … also want as many members as possible of this corrupt immoral anti-democratic outgoing administration indicted, arrested, tried, and imprisoned.”

And not just them. Including  “flunkies…apologists and … enablers” casts a net to include anyone who has supported President Trump and, more importantly, the promised agenda that got him elected. It also includes anyone in the media Olbermann wants the state to silence, case in point, when he demanded the arrest of Fox News host Tucker Carlson over something he never said (a Democrat operative had) about “Trump supporters own[ing] 60 to 70% of the guns.” Rather than being a man and apologizing about it, Olbermann hid by deleting his tweet.

Criminalize policy differences. Ignore Constitutional “speech and debate” protections. Ignore the First Amendment. Ignore due process. Seize property. Take citizens hostage at gunpoint and imprison them.

How very North Korean of him.

The thing is, as fascistic as Olbermann is proving himself to be, he’s hardly alone, and such demands have been echoed by other “progressives” of prominence.

His former MSNBC colleague Rachel Maddow wants to go after “officials” – for now. And we’re not limited to media loons. New Jersey Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr. has called for the prosecution of Donald Trump “and his enablers” for “treason.”

Guess what the ultimate penalty is for that.

To all of you gun-owning “Trump enablers” who are reading this, here’s a question you’ll need to consider: Do you intend to “go gentle into that good night”?

Because understand that the subversives intent on total domination demand a monopoly of violence. That’s why self-important hive insects like Olbermann are also demanding that the National Rifle Association be “branded for what it is — a terrorist organization.”

What must that make those of us who view the NRA as far too compromising? And what does the government do to “terrorists”?

A rational person who believes in freedom might say “Nuts to that,” and not just defy tyranny, but actively resist it. Isn’t that why the Founders considered the Second Amendment “necessary to the security of a free State?”

No worries. The same would-be totalitarians who want your guns have this to say about that:

“Number one: there needs to be a clear public response, that people who exercise this ‘right’ are not patriots, but traitors.”

And what happens to those?

Here are two more questions for you “Trump enablers” who refuse to go quietly:

When Joe Biden and Kamala Harris order you to pay for, register, and/or surrender your “weapons of war,” will you obey them?

Assuming enough don’t and then prevail, what are your thoughts on “unity and healing” with “flunkies…apologists and … enablers” like Keith Olbermann?

The question I have for any LEO’s that may read this: are you willing to make war on your fellow citizens in order to seize their firearms for an unconstitutional regime? I’m guessing that would lead to a lot of deaths on both sides of the badge. Just sayin’.

JSNMGC

Good question.

This year we have seen hundreds of them arrest people for:

  • Paddle boarding in the ocean
  • Playing catch with their daughter in a vacant park
  • Cutting hair
  • Singing in a church parking lot
  • Operating a gym

We have seen them not arrest people for:

  • Attempted murder
  • Beating people
  • Committing armed robbery
  • Committing arson
  • Terrorizing motorists
  • Looting

The response is typically “we have to follow orders or we will be fired, what do you want us to do, not follow unconscionable orders?” The answer is “Yes.”

Tionico

EVERYone who has taken up the badge of any flavour of law enforcement has taken an oath up uphold and defend the Constitutions ov both his state and this country. They should have considered the possibilitythat some corrupt supervisor type just might demand they break that oath. Now what?

JSNMGC

I agree with you.

Every Totalitarian government in modern history has come into power because government employees with guns followed orders that were legal, but clearly wrong. “Just following orders” is unacceptable.

hippybiker

“Senator! You told me those men would be decently treated! They we’re decently treated. They were decently fed, then they were decently shot!”
Yeah. You know!

GomeznSA

JSN – yes there have been incidents such as those you mentioned but I’m not convinced that those incidents number in the ‘hundreds’ – I’m willing to accept proof of the numbers.
As to the inactions, those are due to bureaucrats ordering them to not take action. Neither is acceptable.
I’m just glad I no longer wear any sort of uniform or badge so I cannot be ordered to take unlawful/illegal actions 🙁

JSNMGC

I agree with you that following orders to not take action against violent criminals is unacceptable.

I didn’t word the comments very well – should have made it clear that both categories numbered in the hundreds. I’ve seen videos of many hundreds of people rioting who should have been arrested.

It would be nice if there was a database we could access that recorded every arrest made due to a trivial health order violation.

JSNMGC

GomeznSA,

Whatever the number of arrests for trivial health order violations was, add Danny (of Mac’s Public House) to the growing list.

Lots of LEOs there right now.

JSNMGC

Again, I wish there was a database, but the isolated incidents continue to mount:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9089987/Stockton-salon-upset-police-enforcement-visit-COVID-19-violations.html

The Department of Consumer Affairs now has armed law enforcement officers.

There needs to be some defunding.

TDS in full bloom is what watching the video of this nut is, if he and his followers had been around in 1941 time frame the United States would now be speaking German or Japanese.
I for the life of me can’t see how he gets paid to have a TV show and espouse his hateful speech, maybe he needs to live in Iran.
This is the type of person why we need the second amendment.

I got through thr first 3 minutes of that video and had to stop it. The guy is a lying POS. Everything he claims Trump or those under him did, the Democrats have actually done. If he is wishing this upon us, then when Trump succeeds, he should expect the same occur to him and everyone on the Left that has kept our cities in flames, people losing jobs, homes, lives, etc. The Democrats with their lies and deceit have tried to usurp Trump’s presidency the past 4+ years, ever since he was duly elected. He displays well the forked… Read more »

That seems to be their pattern of practice.

Does this clown live in a state with Red F;ag Laws on the books? OIf so, some patrio,t or better yet, about thirty of us, should file a warning abot this unstable lout making such deadly threats…… stuff his mug into his own bowl of porridge and see how HE likes it. Nice and hot…..

One of, if not the most deranged recitation I’ve ever witnessed. This guy is crazy. Would be easy to just discount his ramblings if not for a suspicion that he leads those who think like him, whose numbers are incalculable. But with reports that fools like AOC are recording names, and others in this upcoming administration threatening revenge in an official capacity, then you’d be crazier than Keith Olbermann to even consider relinquishing your means to defend yourselves against a carefully-planned tyrannical takeover.

Lmfao…this guy has lost his damn mind!

Olbermann is a clear example of an ignorant and deranged socialist. He’d arrest everyone who dares to disagree with him and his comrades. He hopes to rule by installing fear in the hearts of a hundred million who would like to be free of morons like him. If he were to be successful in triggering a war, he’d be the first one in a bunker.

This isn’t a bluff. It isn’t a single mad man. It’s a very real desire. The biggest piece of evidence is that the Democrat party has done is before, at least 10 times in fact: Manzanar, Tule Lake, Poston, Gila Griver, Granada, Heart Mountain, Minidoka, Topaz, Rohwer, and Jerome. The Democrats claimed that when they subjected Americans to crimes against humanity it was because it was “too dangerous” to allow them to remain in the home neighborhoods, yet proceeded to allow actual prisoners of war who shot Americans (Yes, really. Look up the “Italian Service Units”.) to freely roam the… Read more »

Olbermann’s life would have been better and he would have been happier, had he been born in Communist East Germany. Can’t you just see him as Information Minister?

David…I am dismayed and disappointed at Olbermann’s statements, which are such a flagrant dissociation from our Bill of Rights and inconsistent with my earlier viewings from his presence 20 years earlier. It reminds me of the movie The Brotherhood of the Bell….

When this democrat intellectual, not that he is intelligent, comes into the sights of someone who recognizes him, how long do you think that person will take to squeeze off the shot? All news media people who obey the left and tell their lies for them, deserves everything they bring upon themselves for every lie they have told. The very real issue of coming for our guns is that it won’t be these fascist socialist crybabies coming for our guns, it will be the army, or National Guard, or State Police, or local cops, your neighbors or friends, all following orders. But my guess, in proper Socialist governance, they will simply take the guns, search your property if they need to, graciously allot one gun to each permit holder, lock them up locally and you will need to provide a valid reason for wanting to access it. Permits will eventually be federally managed to those ‘with a reason.’… Read more »

Ryben Flynn

I do not think the people you mentioned would obey illegal orders to seize our guns by force. I’m sure they know that a good percentage of the gun owners would shoot first.

Heed the Call-up

It’s a nice thought, but since police do act on ERPOs, we know that is not true.

GomeznSA

Heed – you are unfortunately correct. You can bet that the bureaucrats that will order such tyrannical acts already know which of their blind followers they can rely on to ‘just follow orders’. Well at least until some of them receive the consequences for their actions. It ‘might’ get a tad difficult to recruit ‘volunteers’ when those consequences happen. NOTE – I am not saying we should necessarily shoot them just giving fair warning. 🙂

JSNMGC

Have you not seen enough evidence this year regarding what orders they will follow?

JSNMGC

Didn’t you sell a bunch of them after buying them? Most states allow person-to-person sales, so the 4473 is largely meaningless in determining who currently owns the firearm.

Tionico

Yes. Few states maintain a tight “registration” protocol. In other words, I can buy a new gun, whjich would trace quickly back to me, but then I can put it up on Gunbroker and ship it to the FFL in Charlie’s state, he’d clear NICS, there would be a record of that transfer, but it would not be FROM ME. The legal chain of custody WITH record is now broken. It would still trace back to me…. and I’d stand there in my livingroom laughing my head off KNOWING they won’t find it because I shipped to Ohio last year.… Read more »

JSNMGC

I have neighbors who regularly trade or sell to one another. Good luck sorting all that out.

Unfortunately, anti-gun politicians will be writing “tell us what you have at this point in time and if you lie you’re a felon” laws. Of course, these laws will be marketed as “it’s for your safety.” Meanwhile, violent criminals are not arrested and convicted.

Our state legislators understand that won’t fly at the state level, but I’m concerned at the federal level. Too many Republican Senators are anti-2nd Amendment.

JoeUSooner

While that may be true is some (perhaps a lot of) states, there are indeed some states – Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Mississippi, etc – where police and National Guard would refuse unconstitutional orders… and they most certainly would not open fire on the common citizenry.

JSNMGC

I believe the majority of LEOs in all the states you listed would follow orders to arrest people and confiscate their firearms. It wouldn’t be on a massive scale, it would be select individuals at certain times.

Some of those LEOs would do it reluctantly and some would do it with crazy eyes and foaming at the mouth because they would be so excited to exert their authority.

RoyD

Still talking out your ass I see. Carry on.

JSNMGC

Ok.

The Oklahoma National Guard confiscated firearms from people who had done nothing wrong during hurricane Katrina. Were you one of them?

LEOs on other forums have made it quite clear they will follow any and all orders (unless it applies to a fellow LEO, a family member, or a friend).

Have you not seen enough examples in 2020 to make it quite clear that a majority of LEOs will follow orders to arrest good people and not arrest bad people?

RoyD

I’ll say one thing for you, you are entertaining. Tiring, but entertaining. I am surprised you took the weekend off.

Adam Weinstein (the author of the article you quoted) writes for various publications, including the New York Times and Mother Jones. Just another “I own firearms, but I believe in common sense gun control” member of the media.

Try this:

https://reason.com/2005/09/10/defenseless-on-the-bayou-2/

Do you believe the Oklahoma National Guard did not confiscate firearms during Katrina?

RoyD

I am not saying they didn’t. There are facts and then there are the circumstances surrounding the facts. Do bad things happen sometimes? Yes they do. For example the action that removed my support for the Vietnam war: Kent State.

JSNMGC

Ok, but bad things didn’t happen – that is passive. People made bad decisions. Some percent of LEOs will make good decisions. Some percent of LEOs will make bad decisions, but do so reluctantly. Some percent of LEOs will make bad decisions and do so eagerly. I don’t know what percent fall into each category, but I do believe the majority (more than half) will follow orders to arrest people and confiscate firearms when more gun laws are passed. They already do so in the states that have such laws at the state level. I believe the most likely scenario… Read more »

and how many of us refuse to pass through, let alone live in, those states? There is a short list of states I refuse to enter. THOSE are the states with the most communist anti-gun laws and policies, and their LE are cut of the same stuff.

JSNMGC

Unfortunately, a lot of “good” states now have bad laws even though a lot of good people still live there. Virginia is a good example.

It can happen to any state.

Arguing with an idiot(read RoyD) is like trying to teach a Pig to sing. You waste precious time and just annoy the Pig!

RoyD

You have been slacking HB. I count on you for the down votes. I expect you to shape up and be more attentive. Don’t make me have to address this issue with you again.

JSNMGC

There are many good government employees and retired government employees. They all acknowledge when other government employees make decisions to over step their authority on their own or make decisions to follow unconscionable orders. They don’t passively chalk it up to “bad things happen.”

There is no excuse for what the Oklahoma National Guard and other armed government employees did during Katrina. There are many other examples.

We have some troubling times ahead – God bless all the good government employees who stand tall.

a LOT has changed since Katrina, including specific state laws making such siezures illegal, and plenty of “news” that such confiscations are illegal and can’t be tried again. That all STILL does not negate the fact that, once sorties are begun to take up our guns, a signficant number of them will not return home, but take a detour to the bsement of their local hospital, where they will be given their very own custom toe tag. Once five or so percent of any department’s personnel are so rewarded for their “service”, others will gwow a pair of size fourteen… Read more »
