USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Within a one-year time period, under the new bail-reform law, New York Democrats have released nearly 100,000 criminals without bail after being charged with offenses that would have previously kept them in custody or would have required bail.

Over 4000 of them have since re-committed violent crimes.

In 773 of those cases, the violent felons avoided the firearms background checks (those to which, law-abiding people are subjected) to acquire the guns that were used in the crimes. While their failed gun control policies stare them in the face, New York Democrats insist that we need more of the same gun laws that put good people in danger and continue to be ignored by the bad guys. It makes you wonder who the New York gun laws are really intended for.

According to The Times Union,

“Between July 2020 and June 2021, there were 3,460 cases in which adults were rearrested on violent felony charges, including 773 with a firearm, after first being charged with crimes for which judges can no longer set bail or keep the defendant jailed.”

Violent felony crimes include assault, rape, and attempted murder. Kathy Hochul, New York’s appointed, placeholder, Governor and Moms Demand Action pawn, seems to be unaffected by the terrible results of this new law. Her response to the failed bail reform policy was to further exacerbate the problem and release 191 detainees from Rikers Island in September 2021. Why not?

Maybe releasing more criminals will help reduce the crime rate. Surely, our New York elected government employees aren’t trying to create more violence. Are they? Hochul was given the Governor’s seat after Andrew Cuomo resigned amidst several accusations of embarrassing sexual exploitations and between 6,000-10,000 covid-related nursing home deaths, many believe were a direct result of Cuomo’s negligence. According to the CNY CENTRAL website, prominent House Republican, Elise Stefanic said (while referring to Hochul), “It’s important to know what she knew, when she knew it, and there needs to be accountability.”

Are New York Democrats purposely trying to create violence in New York?

What could they possibly get out of that, other than making lawful citizens even more fearful to leave their homes and creating an excuse to push for more gun laws?

New York Democrats don’t seem to be bothered by the horrific criminal activity they are perpetuating. In an attempt to negate any reason for holding them accountable or keeping them in prison, the New York State Assembly claimed that there’s no way to measure a criminals’ level of “dangerousness.” According to WSKG, Democrats in the State Assembly said that holding some people before a trial could lead to disproportionate outcomes for people of color. Isn’t the punishment for a crime supposed to be determined by the crime? Apparently, these particular politicians take a much more racist approach to this concept.

Cash bail was initially intended to incentivize those who were charged with a crime to show up in court, but it would now seem that skin color plays a much larger role in the New York legal system. So, while “Governor” Hochul And her gang of Constitution-violating socialists continue to release violent felons from prison, they are also looking to make gun ownership by law-abiding citizens nearly impossible with a push to turn NY AB-7771 & SB-3018 into law. Follow the links to review the bills, but here is a summary:

“Relates to establishing additional requirements to purchase a firearm, shotgun or rifle; requires a person to apply for a hunting license prior to the purchase of a shotgun or rifle [becuase self-defense is all about hunting]; establishes additional requirements for all firearms, shotguns and rifles including taking a five hour gun safety course and exam, passing a shooting range test with 90% accuracy, providing notarized proof of a passed drug test and mental health evaluation, providing proof of purchase of firearm and ammunition safe storage depositories and passing a criminal background check.”

Did I miss the part in the 2nd Amendment that reads: “shall not be infringed unless you fail the New York State facilitated written exam and/or the anti-gun legislature’s mental health evaluation?”

So, if you live in New York, you get to live among violent felons AND be unarmed and helpless at the same time. What a deal! Thanks, Democrats!

The 2nd Amendment is not a privilege. It’s your right.

It’s NY what do expect?

Arizona Don

Exactly what is happening!

Montana454Casull

Democrats doing the same thing , telling the same lies and expecting a different result is the definition of mental illness . These people have mental issues and need to seek profession treatment .

The Moms Demand Action group exhibits many of the signs of a cult. She may as well taken a picture with the KKK or BLM.

Wass

I wouldn’t go that far, but they surely do think of themselves as civil and moral exemplars.

Dan, those folks do not want to use logic or common sense because they hate guns and they hate us! In their minds guns are only to be used to protect the elite. Thanks.

Typical left/liberal female mindset. They DO NOT want to use common sense or facts, just point uneducated, brainwashed fingers at a ‘problem’ that actually ISN’T there. Great writing Dan!

That is so true!

I am always favorably impressed by authors that come back to converse with their audience. Many thanks.

The citizens of NYC keep voting into office radical extremist socialist marxist democrats. Consequently they get the government and especially DA’s they deserve. I have been told By many of them that by voting for democrats they are saving the Republic and our constitutional free way of life. It does not do any good to reply to them and attempt to set them right for they will not listen to any reasoning even with facts.   Evidently they are not bright enough to accept facts and analyze what they are doing. They saw Trump as a do nothing president even after he did so much… Read more »

Yeah – I can’t believe that after DiBlasio, they vote for Adams to be the “anti-crime” democrat – and then they vote in a soros DA after seeing what is hapening in SF – LA – & Philly!
It’s unbelievable!

Wild Bill

Maybe there was election cheating again.

Country Boy

NY elections have been cheated for 50+ yrs.

Those people in red shirts are despicable, aren’t they?

Guess who they teamed-up with in Wyoming to defeat SAPA legislation.

I’ve seen that argument many times, and it seems misinformed. Far as I know, Vanguard and Blackrock do not own those companies. They offer mutual funds. The mutual funds own those companies. The mutual funds are own by investors who indirectly the stocks in the funds. I’m one of them, through several Vanguard index funds.

JSNMGC

Blackrock owns a percentage of those companies.

For example, Raytheon is owned by thousands of institutions/individuals.

Blackrock is the third largest institutional owner of Raytheon (they own less than 7%):

The people who teamed-up with Moms Demand Action (and Anytown for Gun Safety) were:

  • The Wyoming Highway Patrol
  • Every Chief of Police of every city/town in the state
  • Every sheriff in the state

Oh my, four immediate downvotes. There is certain information the enforcer-posters (and their unconditional supporters) don’t want to be discussed. Remember when Will/”TEX” claimed the above enforcement agencies didn’t do what I stated? I posted the video of them giving testimony to the Wyoming State Senate Judiciary committee. He then claimed that wasn’t proof because it was posted on youtube. How dumb can one person be? He gets a little frustrated. Sometimes he says I’m “consistently wrong about everything” and other times he says “that bastard has a link for everything.” Maybe he has a multiple personality disorder and he… Read more »

Hi boys!

JSNMGC

I bet you wish you coud infring on the 1st Amendment as much as you infringe on the 2nd Amendment, don’t you enforcers/unconditional enforcer supporters?

Russn8r

They just gave you an old-fashioned vote-down, boy!

“What we’re dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law.”

Russn8r

Blackrock owns, or investors own through Blackrock?

JSNMGC

Blackrock is the owner (< 7%) of record and they vote the shares (not their investors).

Since Blackrock is an asset manager, they are using investors money to buy the shares (along with all sorts of other assets).

The more important facts are:

  • Blackrock does not “own” all the companies listed;
  • The people who teamed-up with Moms Demand Action were all the major enforcement agencies in Wyoming; and
  • Will/”TEX” is angry because he doesn’t like state/county/city/town enforcers in “red” states to look bad when they do bad things.

Like you said as far as we know. Who posts the info is always questionable. They are real good at giving just enough info to keep people confused. Just look how well they hide their money. lol I would say there’s only a few at the top calling the shots. And we will never know who they are.

Arizona

The 2nd prohibits government infringement; it does not grant a right. All laws that purport to regulate, control, restrict, limit, tax or otherwise infringe on the possession, ownership, building, manufacturing, selling, buying and bearing of arms are unconstitutional, infringe on an enumerated natural right, and thus have no legal authority. The politicians who pass these laws presume authority which was specifically denied to the government.

Corrupt politicians will continue to abuse citizens’ rights so long as we allow them to. Revoke your consent to be “governed” and abused, and terminate all their power.

MEANWHILE . . . IN NYC . . . being a violent felon committing a “gun crime” has just been legalized! Go in a store – stick a gun in the cashiers face – make them get down on their knees (while begging for their life) grab the cash & run. Get caught – misdemenor – no bail – right back out on the streets – NO JAIL TIME! Armed criminal terrorism has just been given the green light to prey upon the general public with violent crime . . . AND YOU ARE TAKING OUR GUN RIGHTS TO MAKE… Read more »

And they are lessening the charge for drive by shootings as well. They don’t acknowledge that they are not reducing crime with these laws, but encouraging it while attempting to regulate citizens to being perpetual defenseless victims. Everyone else sees it.

Don’t you just love it when people who know nothing about a subject go on and on proving how little they know?

There is little doubt President Joe Biden is coming after our guns. After all he said he was. That is undoubtedly the only statement he has made so far that is actually true. Furthermore, he is reaffirming that promise (threat?) again as you read this. First he will come after the guns that look scary to people who know nothing about guns (AR’s and AK’s) he wrongly refers to them as assault weapons which, of course, they are not. Then if he accomplishes their confiscation (which is actually very doubtful) he will come after other classifications probably all semi-auto rifles and hand guns there is… Read more »
