Governor Terry Branstad signed House File 2283, the ATV Carry Act, into law!
Legalizing suppressors in Iowa is a big win, but we cannot lose sight of the unfinished business still sitting in the legislature.
This year we were able to repeal the ban on suppressors, claw back a little bit of liberty and restore some of your Second Amendment freedoms
Wow! Another solid day for IFC bills in the Iowa legislature! As you can see both the Hearing Protection Act and the ATV Carry Act passed their votes today with ease.
It appears today will be another big day for Second Amendment advocates in Iowa.
At approximately 9:30 Thursday morning the Iowa Senate passed House File 2279 by a vote of 46 to 4.
House File 2279 is scheduled for a vote in the full Senate today (3/16/16). The Hearing Protection Act will finally be voted on in the Iowa Senate.
Week 9 in the Iowa legislature, the second funnel week of 2016, was full of ups and downs.
Forward progress continues in the Iowa Senate. Last week saw the both the Privacy Protection Act and the Hearing Protection Act get passed out of their Senate Judiciary subcommittees.
