Appomattox County is now the latest Second Amendment Sanctuary in Virginia. Congratulations! We now have FOUR sanctuaries and there are more are on the way this week.
The Board lowered the CHP fee from $50 to $40, instead of to $25. The County is putting the extra $15 in the General Fund, like it would a tax.

One man’s activism got the Board of Supervisors in King William, VA to reduce their CHP fee from $50 to $15. PLUS he got a letter to the editor published to tell everyone about the reduced fee!
The problem was a severe one. If the officer checked VCIN, he was told that your CHP was expired or didn’t exist, respectively! That would put the CHP holder in a bad situation that was not his fault.
